This camera is such a gem. Amazing full frame sensor. Basically a full framer GH5. Except its lighter than a GH5 and its usually right around the same price. Kit lens is actually really good. Not as good some high end Leica glass but pretty impressive. The fact that this camera and lens regularly are on sale for around 2 grand is one of the better buys you can make in the mirrorless market. IF your willing to deal with 2 things. The auto focus system, while being totally usable, is not as good or as fast a Sony or a Canon. and the selection of lenses for the L mount system isnt nearly as vast as sony. If those 2 things arent mission critical to you then this is the best 2000 dollar camera on the whole market. 6k 10 bit 60 fps 422 video recording externally!! without overheating, looking at you sony, or time limited. Is simply unbeatable. If you watched Bo Burnhams "Inside" it was filmed on the S1H which is just this things bigger brother. Same sensor ,same video format same lenses. In short incredible for anyone looking to take incredible video or stills.

The autofocus is widely know to be inferior to that off the other camera titans but for stills however, its very good. I wanted to learn and master the art of manual focusing, and the Panasonic S5 will forced me to take my shots with more thought. I have only owned Sony cameras and relied heavily on their god tiered autofocus, dooming myself in the process by stopping my growth as a photographer. I wanted more control of my pictures. The L-mount ecosystem is starting to grow and the 20-60 kit lens is fantastic. I can't really speak for the video features on it, even though that's where most of its strengths lie within, but it's nice knowing it's capable of being a lite cinema camera. All for $2000 is quite the steal! I love it.

This is the perfect camera. Hands down. Having used everything from the GH3, GH5, S1R and S1, I can say this is a happy combination of everything. From stellar performance and incredible video capabilities to the amazing image quality and size. It really cant be beat!

Best bang for the buck if you are looking for the best video/photo hybrid camera today! The customization on this camera makes it almost the same level as dedicated cinema camera. On top of that, you get a fantastic photo camera as well. I admit that L mount lenses are less in selection and high on the price. I'm happy with the kit lens as it's one of a kind for a kit lens with a great zoom range and decent auto focus capability. I have Sigma MC-21 that I can use my Canon lenses and it's working nicely.

Absolutely amazed by what this camera can do. Seriously capable of filmmaking and high quality photography.

I like it, I don't use it for video but it takes good pictures, doesn't disappoint. Sometime's things can be confusing but usually the problems fix themselves.

Absolutely love this camera. I bought it mainly for video use, but the photo quality is outstanding as well. It took me hours of comparing cameras online, but this was the right choice for me. Very pleased with the quality and size, especially for the cost, no regrets with this purchase.

This camera is everything I wanted it to be and more. The picture is gorgeous (I’ve played around with all of the picture profiles but CinelikeD suits me perfectly) and it’s great in low light. The auto focus isn’t the best but it’s not horrible either. All in all a terrific cinema camera for a very decent price.

I was debating between this and the Sony A7iii and I am so pleased I went with the Panasonic! I am not a professional, so I just need it mainly for real estate photos as well as other videos and travel. Having a 20mm options with a stock lens was why I decided to get the Lumix, and so far it has been a great decision. Excellent photos, excellent video, minor learning curve (I previously came from an entry lever DSLR so I knew my basics) but once I personalized the buttons everything went so much smooth. Highly recommend!

Delivery guy left the package undamaged good delivery and best buy let me ship it that same day for free which really suprised me becuase in other stores with that kind of treatment and price is rare to get

Wow…wow…WOW. Hands down THE best camera I have ever used. I’m coming from a very old and EXTREMELY video limited Nikon D3100 dslr. The S5 blows anything I have seen out of the water. It is truly a cinema camera.

Great camera, especially for video. You can get super high-quality video with minimal effort and the only time limit is your battery life. I've also been able to take some pretty impressive low-light concert photos and create high-quality content for bands, musicians, bars, and music venues.

This Panasonic Lumix S5 is a great full-frame mirrorless camera for enthusiasts and some professional photographers have switched over to it too! The colors are great right out of the camera as .jpg and the RAW and HLG file formats have great dynamic range for color grading! The kit lens is good for close-in shots and some landscape photography. The high dynamic range for video looks really good in 4k HLG format on HDR tv's and monitors.

I really like this Panasonic camera. I plan to use it again soon at a family reunion.

I see this camera as a starter/novice use for someone like me. But is it worth buying almost 2-3K cost? No. I should have gotten relatively cheaper for the same basic function I tend to use as a beginner like me.
