But the front camera footage is not compatible with smart tv, playstation, or other non traditional dedicated computers. I believe this due to the front camera aspect ratio.

Works OK but with some problems.

I found that it would stop recording after running it for long periods of time. It would record fine for about 20 or 30 minutes or so but then it would stop recording. Anything it recordings after 30 minutes would be corrupted and cannot be played back.
