I purchased the first Hue (A19 starter kit) when it came out in late 2012, and slowly added more Hue bulbs overtime. I just purchased these BR30 bulbs to replace the can/recessed lights in the family room, and it's an awesome upgrade. These bulbs are LED, decent output (630 lumen), and you can change it to whatever color you want with the Hue app. How cool is that? I think the Hue is brilliant. It's expensive, but it's worth the investment if you enjoy mood lighting, and being able to control the lights from your smartphone or tablet.

this light is a great addition to my hue system, but it makes a slight humming noise every now and then. only bothers me when I'm sitting in the room and its completely silent. sent back the first one i ordered thinking maybe it was something wrong with that particular bulb but the second one did the same thing

These are great lights and change the atmosphere of whatever room you are using them in. They are expensive, I kept waiting for the price to come down but finally buckled in and bought some and have been very happy.

I really love all of the hue lights, but still there is no green offered in either light bulbs. You can get close, but not truly green. I still love the system though! The downright is flawless other than the green.

This product is awesome! I love all the different colors that it can change to. It's easy to use and the app on the phone is very convenient. It gives the room a whole different feel at the touch of a button.

Great add-on to our existing Hue lighting system. Would definitely recommend swapping out existing can lighting with the Hue bulbs. Our house is now known as the "neon house" in our housing development.

This was included as part of a special when purchasing the starter kit. A nice surprise considering the recessed lighting in our home is in sets of two or four. I plan on upgrading all of the lighting in my home to Hue lights. So convenient to turn lights on and off from my phone.

I currently use this light in a floor lamp and it does a good job with lighting up the room. I would personally say having this light bulb in the ceiling or on a light track would get the best use of it.

This product is amazing and I can't wait to buy more! This was actually the wrong bulb, as I needed a bulb that can fit in my ceiling fan light and this is more for recessed lighting. LOVE the hue!

I pretty much have my whole house Hue'd... Love all their lights. Rainbow of colors at the touch of an app. The only negative is the pricing. Maybe in the future the price will come down.

Great bulb, live the colors and the set was was simple. Helpful reminder read the serial number off the bulb before you install makes the detection process much simpler.

It took a little while to find the right place in the Philips mobile app, but once I found it, it was easy to add the new bulb to my existing scenes. Works beautifully.

Hue lights are fun to have and experience in your home. You can change the aviance of your home at the touch oh a button on your smart phone or other electronic devices. This lights are made easy for anyone to use in there home.

I have several Philips Hue lights (A19). This is my first BR30. I have 2 BR30's and both of them buzz. They also don't connect to other programs like the A19 does. They are brighter than the A19 lights in recessed lighting cans.

I've added a few of these throughout the house, only downside is the cost but at the end of the day, the ability to change the colors made up for everything.

I purchased this bulb for a can light in the ceiling. The drawback is the color doesn't seem as full as the A19 bulb. Still gave it 4 stars because it's a Hue bulb which is always awesome. The A19 is just a little better.

Very easy to use. The apps are a lot of fun. Great for mood or party lighting. Download an app that controls the lights to music for a cool house party.

I use them to set mood lighting for movies and use the timing functionality to turn the lights on and off when i go away. Really fun product!

Like them would recommend them I have six and will have 50 which is the number of lights that can be connected to a single bridge
