I bought this product mainly because of the Green Screen effect which works quite easily once you figure out how to use it. And it is amazing how well this aspect works. It has near perfect output. As with any video product there is always a steep learning curve and this one is no exception. However once you get the hang of it, it is a nice product. I love the quality of the video that it renders. The quality (depending on your choice of output options of course) is equal to the original video clips. I did have to watch several online video tutorials before I was able to use this product efficiently but again that's to be expected. One thing that happened to me was that during the installation process, the computer just sat there and appeared to be doing nothing for about an hour. I thought something was wrong but after about an hour it started visibly showing installation status. Other then that it was very easy to install.

Before setting your eyes on with sophisticated software for your video productions consider pinnacle array of pre formatted filters and palettes to enable any cinema afficianado to create works of art. Easy as 3-2-1 go ! Allows for all platforms analog to digital to HD formats to be used across the timeline great editing tool and the end results are quite satisfying.

Great editing tool with lots of features and options. I'm upgrading from Studio Ultimate 12 and I use Final Cut Pro on my MAC for more customized and intricate editing. Some of the generated effects and transitions are nice, especially for quick edits, but many of them are a bit corny and geared (I imagine) at family videos. I use this to tighten up animation projects, thus my editing needs are not used to their fullest since I have done much through After Effects CC and Adobe Photo shop CS6. The features are both great for hobbyist and professionals, though on a professional level there's stronger software out there, even for PC. For example, Adobe Premiere Pro. The only issue this software has, and it will probably change with Pinnacle Studio 17, is the compatibility issue with Windows 8.1. In order for this to run properly, one needs an extension; re-install it, if that person already installed it and now needs to un-install it; and change some of the settings on their PC. "Under settings, one may have to change the "VersionNT" key value in the the registry key HKLM/Software/[Wow6432Node/]Avid/Studio 2 from 603 to 602 in order to get Pinnacle 16 to work with Windows 8.1, this is in addition to the extension. This work around could be as simple as a few seconds to a good portion of the day.

I bought this software off of a recommendation from a sales rep. After getting it installed I was excited to get started. After watching several tutorial videos I was up and editing. This software is great if you're not in a hurry. Most times it will work with out a flaw but some times it freezes and locks up. Rendering take a while, a long time with a 30 min project. The tools that come with the software are awesome and fun to play with. If you have time to wait on the software, then you can't go wrong. As for me I'm a little on the impatient side.

I have been using pinnacle studio for several years. I started with version 8 and have versions 9 ,11, 15, and now 17. the past versions of this software are much more user friendly that this current version. the designers have changed the interface and it is much harder to navigate. the product works ok, but having used the studio software for about 15 years and several versions I found it like starting all over again. I bought the cyberlink v12 power director which i had never used and found it easier to use than the studio 17 which I had used previous versions of over the years.

Very easy to create home movies. The splicing feature is easy to use; you just hit the razor blade icon. I also have a Mac book pro, and I bought Final Cut Pro for twice the price of Pinnacle Studio Ultimate three months ago, and I still haven't been able to make a movie with my Mac. You should buy the Ultimate version though. I bought the basic Pinnacle Studios software, and I was not able to make a home DVD. I received a lot of messages to download additional drivers with the basic version. I am not patient with software programs, and I am too lazy to buy and read user guides, so Pinnacle studios Ultimate was perfect for me.

Great software for a mid-level editor. We use at work often for property videos. The templates are crowded a bit too much for my taste with family/sports/event stuff, but the interfaces are all intuitive and easy to use.

I am going to have fun with the stereoscopic 3D platform. Love to do new things with pictures and music videos from the band. This program will help me build clear and crisp videos for the web and home movies.

I have owned several of the previous versions of Pinnacle Studio. I have always enjoyed working with their software. The DVDs and CDs I've created have given wonderful memories to my family and friends. I've tried other similar types of programs and Pinnacle has always been the best for me. I would highly recommend this product.

The software works great. It does everything my son needs.

I have had every version of this software ever since it came out. The best thing I liked about it was how easy it was to use. Drag and drop, left to right, top to bottom, click on menus. It was terrific. In version 16 they changed it drastically, and said it was "better." I disagreed and returned it, preferring to use the older version 15. When 17 came out I decided to give it another shot. It IS still very different from what I am used to. I consider myself a pretty tech savvy guy. I am not slow to learn new things, and I got the hang of this after using it a few times, but it is still very complicated when compared to earlier versions. This is NOT for beginners and can be frustrating. Allow a lot more time to create even the simplest projects and prepare to view tutorials because you just can't "Do" a lot of things like you could in older versions.

This is the best editing software that I have owned. Sony Vegas is ok, Pinnacle Studio 14 ultimate is a very good system, but although 16 is a little more difficult to learn, once you got it, you'll realize the this is one of the best editing software systems out there. I had learned and gained knowledge on 14, but 16 is a newly redesign system with newer and better features, such as, transition, titles, effects, etc... If you want a system that's easy to use, then this is not for you, but if you have some knowledge on video editing software or if you are willing to learn and you have the patients, then this can work out quite well. I hope this review helps you in your decision on your purchase on this software.

I have purchased and used multiple versions of Pinnacle studio and purchased the latest version for its ability to edit multiple video streams. I sometime take videos of special events with multiple cameras and this ability was key to my decision to purchase. I does this adeguately but I was disappointed that it takes a long time to load and unfortunately tends to crash. If you need the ability to edit multiple video streams you need it, otherwise you might want to stick with your current software.

I have been using Pinnacle video editing software for over 8 years and with the newest installment including all the add-ons is the best version yet. Once I got through the library system for the assets, applying video transitions, audio and effects to the video workflow is straight through and easy. Making your next video masterpiece can be easy with this software. I fully recommend this product.

I've used pinnacle before for video editing but left after it seemed like the software would continually crash. I decided to give this one a last shot plus the price was too good to be true. So happy I bought it. Easy to use and comes with so much! Even broke out the green screen!

This product will not run on Windows 8.1 without and update from Coral. I downloaded their Patch from their website and it did not work. Contacted customer support they asked for a screen shot of error message I sent it to them 5+ days ago and just sent a second message to check status. It has been 10+ days since I loaded the software multiple times and submitted service ticket. I must say their customer service is poor and their product worse based upon the box which states it runs on Windows 8.

Great software that anyone can understand and make fun and well made videos

I love this program. I didn't realize such a good video program existed for a PC other than MAC. The program does everything I need and it was reasonably priced.

This program pretty much worked as advertised. It does not have a great user interface, but it gets the kid done

This is a good Video & Photo Editing software. The final output is almost professional looking.
