Absolutely amazing. The screen is responsive and wireless CarPlay feels really nice. I still use the USB to charge my phone because it’s faster than wireless charging but I have not been disappointed by this head unit.

Excellent stereo system. Easy to navigate and Apple car play works perfectly. The settings provide many options to fine tune your audio along with giving my subwoofer a higher punch. Very happy with this so far!

Love having this for using wireless android auto i have an samsung s22 ultra many people are havejng problems with but i had no problems and extremely easy to update firmware on this unit

I really love this stereo, but there are a few little things. One connecting your phone can be cumbersome, sometimes and the mic just doesn't work well, if I make calls using the mic people complain of the noise and just not being able to hear over static. Could be the routing of the mic wire, not sure yet.

I don’t know how it works for androids but with the iPhone, it will often disconnect or struggle to keep a good connection with the blue tooth.

The connection to CarPlay is fast, there are lots of controls for making your music sound exactly how you like and the screen gets pretty bright when needed which is good as it’s in a convertible. The screen can be a little laggy and inputs aren’t always recognized but overall very good!

works good but is flaky waze maps, etc. when going through carplay only works about have the time. need to work on volume control too hard to adjust volume when driving. needs better noise cancellation when using hands free cell phone (using mic when on a call)

Radio looks good and has a bunch of features, but wireless CarPlay is very buggy. If you lose cellular service while driving, then the radio will completely disconnect from CarPlay and the connection has to be remade when the vehicle comes to a stop. Radio is also slow (up to 5 seconds) to recover coming back to the home screen before you can select a new source to listen to music from or go back to CarPlay. I have continued to update the radio as they come out, but these issues have not gone away. I have always recommended Pioneer as a brand, but this radio is a miss at over $700.

This is a quick and easy solution to add modern features to an older car. easy install and great sound. Added Idata interface to use head unit to control factory systems.

This is a great unit. Make sure you do the firmware updates to get the latest features and get rid of any weird behavior. Install was easy with the plugs. Has pre-Amp outputs so that’s a plus.

This is an awesome stereo I bought it for the simple reason it came with GPS Apple CarPlay it fits all my niece

By far the best Pioneer head unit I’ve owned. Apple CarPlay is a must have feature. Only complaint is that the screen is still bright at night even with the dimmer dimmed at the lowest setting.

Nice radio. Installed with a pioneer back up camera. Installed in a 2010 chev Camaro.

Lightyears ahead of the stock radio. All the stock speakers woke up. Every option to customize the sound. Connects to phone perfectly.

The Android Auto and music related features are excellent. The install by BestBuy was perfect. The reason for only 2 stars is the truly awful quality of telephone call audio (me to the caller on the other end - I can hear them very well). If I had understood more quickly how bad the outgoing call audios is, I would have returned the unit for a different brand. I have tried moving the microphone to different locations and, as my son described, I sound like "a bad 1930 radio broadcast from a movie" to whoever I talk to. The voice quality is much worse than the $15 SoundBot bluetooth dongle I used before getting the Pioneer headunit.

For the most part, it’s great. I love it. Very convenient. Automatically connected everytime. However the load up screen is irritating and takes too long in my opinion. The biggest con is randomly every once in a while, it acts like it doesn’t recognize my phone and I have to reset the connection settings. It’s not the phone because I’ve upgraded iPhones since I’ve gotten this and even on my new phone, it still doesn’t recognize it sometimes
