The drive in my MacBook had completely quit working this was a good quick fix and had everything back up and working plus the great addition being able to watch Blu-ray movies

I am using this with a Dell 2in1 notebook, it is very slim and light weight, perfect for slipping into a case to take with you. Also runs off USB power so no need for external power brick.

I purchased this item for an iMac Mid 2017 27" 18.3. Works great with the Mac, very quiet, burns Blu-Ray and Standard DVD's. Also burns CD's as well. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Bought this to view/burn Blu-ray Discs. Much better value than the Apple drive which is only a DVD. I did buy a USB-C to Micro B cable to use this with my MacBook Pro. Works good so far.

I have used the device 1 time to write a file to a DVD. I have watched DVD and Blu-Ray discs maybe 10 times. I have not experienced any issues. The drive has yet to withstand the test of time.

Nice compact and lightweight. No burning software with it but it works like a champ so far. The cover seems a little flimsy but I'd still recommend buying this.

This is great for reading and burning discs but is a little loud at first then quiets down. Also it does function with windows but there is no special software as when you have a mac.

This is a great external DVD/Blu-ray player. Needed this because new Macs do not have internal dvd player any longer. Works great and I have never had any disk fail or not play.

A little noisy when starting up for a burn but there is software you dl from the product page to help with that. Overall satisfied for the price.

The only disks I've run through this are Blu-ray, 25GB, and everyone has come out perfectly. My video editing program already supported blu-ray so I had no problem with software.

This little drive is a BEAST! Work's better than I thought it would.I am definitely getting the most out of my purchase. I highly recommend this product to anyone!

I have only used this product to read my cd's to input the data into my laptop. No writing trial at this point. Only downfall, no software came with this product to help with DVD playback. We all know how windows 8 is set up now. An app is needed for everything. I have not really gotten on the Pioneer site to see if there is something available. Further review after I have written a cd, dvd, and a blueray dvd.

Works seamlessly with my MacBook - no software to install and works well to back up data and well as with my 2 DVD authoring programs.

Got this to play Blu-ray DVD's on my media center pc. Not Spectacular but gets the job done. A little noisy when it gets going full speed but I guess that's expected.

Got this to rip and burn Blu-Rays on my iMac. Plug’n’play for DVDs and was able to play Blu-Rays using VLC. Was able to rip a Blu-Ray, though I haven’t burned one yet.

I am not what you would call computer savvy but this product was easy to use. It is essentially a plug and play device with minimal instruction needed to use. Highly recommended

Very easy setup. Plug it in, run the enclosed utility software and your done. A must have add-on and easy to use and easy to configure, almost too easy. Try it, you'll like it.

Bought this to use with my new laptop that no longer come with a DVD/BluRay burner. Have burned both types with no problems. Hard to believe that this item just a few years ago was over $1,000.

I bought this Blu ray because my laptop does not read Blu rays. it easy to use, however does not come with software so you will have to purchase a media player for bluray.

Upgraded a gaming computer and new had no cd/DVD drive. Purchase this external drive to be able to download games from disks and watch movies. Works great.
