Had no problems playing dvds and Blue-rays.The only problem is there's no software to play blue-rays so if you have software this is the one for you

I bought this burner because my MacBook pro doesn't have a CD drive and the Apple disk drive doesn't read blue ray. This drive is amazing - super fast and great quality.

Works great haven't had any disc fail from CDs, DVDs, DLDVDs, 25gig an 50gig blue rays burns faster then expected all around great buy an with 2 year warranty gonna use the heck out of it

I bought an Asus ROG gaming laptop with a DVD player. I watch a lot of BluRay movies on vacation and I needed a player. Just plug and play. Love it.

Mac user. device works great, once I downloaded a compatible software for reading Blu-rays. DVD's are also great to watch using this drive.

My CD/DVD drive in my old laptop went bad and I desperately need a quick fix and the external drive did the trick and was easy to set up

Could be better with free software to actually play a Blu-ray, luckily I found a paid version that recently became free for a basic version.

This was a gift for my wife so she could watch BluRay movies on her laptop. It works great, doesn't need a power supply, just plug in the USB port and off you go.

This blu ray drive seem to fit the bill for me. Easy set up, quiet, prefer the top loading instead of slot loading. Doesn't come with software, which is alright with me.

have no problems in using this external drive. only small complaint that it didnt come with software but i already had Cyberlink program already on my PC

We are Apple Users and the new Macs do not come with CD/DVD/BD, this is the answer!! Affordable and works great right out of the box!

I have not used this to burn cd/DVDs/Blu Ray media but purchased as an alternative to the Apple SuperDrive for a Mac-Mini. It is a top load drive and the only real complaint I have is that when ejected the lid does not automatically open all the way, you need to lift in order for it to completely open as there appears to be a small catch that prevents it from springing open. As far as design goes, it somewhat matches my computer but is serves it's purpose.

I have only used this for playing Blu Ray discs with my iMac. Comes with the necessary cables for connecting to any computer. It operates flawlessly.

This is a good portable DVD drive for people who get a PC which doesn't have one. USB3 really speeds things up.

I plugged the drive in (its USB 3.0 so on my mac any of the blue usb ports) but it also supports legacy USB. It installed the driver really easily and was usable without a reboot on my mac. If you are looking to play blueray movies, this drive can do that, but on the Mac the software is not great. You will have to pay for software to get anything decent to play blueray movies.

Best blu-ray drive I have used. I have had zero issues with compatibility and it runs fairly cool. I would recommend!

Bought the DVD unit to use with my new Dell Inspiration 15 7000 Gaming also purchased at Best Buy. The DVD was easily found by the Dell. None of the Dell software would work with the DVD player. the Memorex DVD did not have any software with or on the unit. Considering this unit was more expensive than most of the other one's, it should include some basic record/play software. The DVD unit iself seems well made and works well.

I just got it out and plugged it in to my Mac and it immediately recognized it and was easy to get set up to run a program for a wireless printer. Unfortunately, the Mac requires a different type of program to be able to interface with my printer. I expect it will be terrific for watching movies and plays blue ray discs as well which the apple player won't.

The Pioneer Blu-ray external drive works well reading both Blu-ray and Dvd discs. It's very quiet and I had no problems connecting it to my iMac.
