Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Bluetooth connectivity, sound quality, and ease of use as significant strengths of this in-dash receiver. Many also appreciate the price point and the detachable faceplate, along with the range of features offered. However, some users mention challenges with display visibility in bright sunlight and find the controls somewhat difficult to navigate. The overall user experience appears positive, despite these minor drawbacks.

Great looking and affordable unit, and worthwhile features for connectivity and audio sources. They even honored an awesome price-match. Only wish it had dedicated subwoofer outputs and level control.

I bought it as a gift for my daughter who loves it. The only exception is that it does not have a connection for radio stations.

Great Audio System! Has All The Features I Wanted!

I own a Honda Accord 2004 XE Sedan, which I bought from a friend, back in 2011. It has an awesome 7 speaker audio system in it, including Sirrus Satellite! The two features it didn't have, which I've been wanting, is an IPod jack, and bluetooth for my IPhone! I wasn't even aware that you could get those features, after factory, until I started researching audio receivers! Pioneer is my brand of choice for excellent sound quality! After finding the receiver that had the features I wanted, and was compatible with my car, I started reading the reviews from customers who owned one and they were excellent!! I'm very happy with mine! It looks nice in my dashboard and was able to be installed without losing the look and integrity of the car's original dashboard! There was only one small glitch in the beginning but was easily resolved! With the dash mount kit I purchased, the receiver was not able to be placed where the factory receiver was, which was at eye level, and was put down below where the cassette tape deck had been. That to me was no problem at all except that the color of the digital display on the faceplate could not be seen when driving in the daytime. It was a dark blue. I had a friend look at it, who's an expert at audio & video systems, and his immediate thought was to try changing out the dark blue display color to another color which is brighter( we chose a bright turquoise) and that fixed the problem! I can now see the display perfectly whether Im driving in the daytime or at night! This system offers a wide array of fun colors for the receiver's display, which is another feature I liked! To sum things up, I give this receiver a 5 Star rating! It gives me all the features I was looking for, without a lot of things I didn't want, the sound is AWESOME.., its very user friendly, .and last but not least...THE PRICE WAS RIGHT!! I would highly recommend this receiver to anyone!!

A nice, inexpensive unit with a ton of options

After reading a few reviews, I decided on purchasing the Pioneer DEH-X6700BT unit based on its price and availability of options. So far, I've really been impressed by its function, sound quality, and ease of install. PROS: Easy to install (for me, anyway... I've installed quite a few head units in the past); great sound quality; great price; I love the total amount of tone settings available and how they are separated by not just "bass/treble" but all the way up and down the Hz scale; Pioneer brand has been around as long as I can remember. CONS: I wish that getting to the tone controls was a bit more straightforward. You have to go through a full menu tree to get to the tone settings, which is distracting while driving, so I tend to turn the volume down in compromise until I can safely stop and adjust as desired. FINAL THOUGHTS: I have come from a long history of high-end competition grade sound systems back in the early to mid '90s - to start with, 4 Rockford Fosgate 12" Power Series subs with 4 punch 200 amplifiers bridged - to now, where I drive a modest older vehicle with a few good speakers and a single subwoofer. This unit perfectly suits my needs these days, as the older I get, the more I need to be cautious of hearing loss. It still doesn't stop me from cranking it up while on the road, but I also (usually) respectfully turn it down at stop lights and neighborhoods (hence the reason I wanted an easier access to at least the bass controls). I still get a few funny looks as people try to figure out the gray-haired 41 year old guy next to them blaring Pantera or Fear Factory at full volume. This unit provides everything I need.

Great head unit, bit of a learning curve

This head unit was easy to install in my '97 Corolla. One important note: make sure everything is in the box!! Apparently, in the stores, these boxes aren't sealed. When first I bought this, it was missing the microphone, connection cable, instructions, brackets, screws, and some other things. Thankfully a nearby store had a complete set and I was able to exchange it. So make sure everything you need is in the box! Best Buy doesn't list it, but here's what should be in there: - CD receiver (w/ 10A mini-fuse inserted into chassis) - Face (attached) - Sleeve (installed) - Trim ring (installed) - Wiring harness - Wireless remote control (QXE1044) - CR2025 Lithium battery (installed) - Microphone w/ sunvisor clip (attached 13' cable terminated by a right-angle male 2.5mm connector) - Two-sided tape - 2 Extraction keys - 4 Pan head ISO-mount screws (M5 x 8mm) - 4 Flat-head ISO-mount screws (M5 x 9mm) - Face fixing screw - Owner's Manual (En/Fr/Sp) - Limited Warranty Information (US/CA) Installing it was simple. I needed some crimpers to connect the included connection cable to my car's connector, but everything is color coded and labeled so it was very straightforward. I already had an after-market head unit in my car so perhaps this made the process easier, but I am glad I didn't have to pay someone to install this. Using the unit takes a bit of a learning curve. Things like the Bluetooth connections aren't intuitive based on the on-screen menus; it took a minute going over the instruction manual to figure out how to get everything set up. But once it's set up, it works effortlessly. The Bluetooth connects automatically to my phone when I get in the car, and the speakerphone functionality works great. The display is hard to read in the daytime unless the dimmer is turned off. The buttons are fairly easy to find and press without looking at them, which is good for when you're driving and can't stand the song that just came on the radio. :) Overall I consider this a great buy and would highly recommend it for anyone that's looking to add Bluetooth and speakerphone calling to their car (among all the other features like AUX-in, USB connection, CD player, radio, etc)

First, this was a cake install in my 2004 Honda Odyssey. No trouble whatsoever with the recommended wiring and bezel kits. The sound is an amazing improvement over the original stock unit. Had a long trip with the kids and we all really enjoyed the unit (you can't call these things radios anymore, can you?!) If the unit is the only Bluetooth "tool" in the car, the Bluetooth pairs automatically with my Note 4 and audio can startup seconds after turning on the ignition. Perfection. The issue is if you also have a Garmin GPS with Bluetooth the phone can pair with that too. So sometimes you get a bit of a race condition. I need to figure out how to allow GPS data but not phone. Also I need to figure out the controls. They are small, dim, and complex! I had the manual next to me while adjusting balance, fade, etc. A little tough on my ancient eyeballs but my two sons think its great and they want me to update the other car the same way. Apparently now Spotify is as essential as gas in the car.

I purchased this stereo as a birthday gift for my daughters sixteenth... I love that it has Bluetooth, for me that's a safety issue. The face plate changes colors and matches perfectly making it look like it is not after factory. Having a USB and auxiliary port meets what she wanted and to top it all off it sounds amazing!

This was a purchase for my daughter's 2002 Pontiac Grand AM GT. It was replacing the stock radio. Upgrading to the new Pioneer gave her the ability to talk hands free via Bluetooth, stream music directly from her iPhone and listen to MP3s stored on a USB thumb drive via the convenient front facing USB port. These features allow my 16 y/o to have all of the technology advancements of newer model cars which makes her happy, and therefore it makes me happy. The one glaring downside to radio is it's display. To be more precise, the viewing of it in direct sunlight can be somewhat of a challenge. The combination of the glossy front and the lack of bright, vivid display can make things a bit tricky at times. It's definitely not a deal breaker but it should at least be mentioned here. We have cycled through the many different color selections as well as brightness settings and there is no one magical solution. Outside of this one downer everything else is extremely solid.

I have been wanting a Bluetooth Cd Player in my vehicle and saw one in the Black Friday ad. When i got into the store found out that the one in the ad was just a bluetooth player and of course out of stock. I then discovered this one with CD player and thats still nice to have as well as only being $$20 more. After being installed I noticed a much better sound and quality of sound and choices as far as balancing in my vehicle. It is a clean nice system and I love the fact you can change the color of the face plate and that its very interactive. This was a GREAT buy and I will always recommend it to others.

Not only did I get a Great Stereo System for my car, but I also got a hands free bluetooth phone system with a micro phone hooked up at the top of my drivers side , and I didn't know that Pioneer offered it with this system. This system is easy to use and the bluetooth phone system is also easy to pair anything !!! The install was done without a flaw, and I highly recommend Best Buy to install your new system. The sound is outstanding, and you can change the colors of your stereo face plate. It's now a pleasure drive with my new Pioneer System.

I bought this Pioneer Car stereo for my stepdad a month ago and he talks about all the features every time we speak. He has even bragged to his friends so much that they gave him money to purchase 2 more for each of them! Their are no cons. But you may have to buy the kit to fit your car $20 and probably wire harness $20. USB drive, auxiliary port, Bluetooth and for security the detachable face plate are just some of the perks for this player! You won't be disappointed and the price is well worth it!
