Customers consistently note the Voyager Legend SE Bluetooth Headset's excellent sound quality, impressive battery life, and comfortable fit. Many also praise its lightweight design and reliable Bluetooth connectivity. However, some users experienced occasional connection issues, and a few found the maximum volume insufficient in noisy environments. Overall, the positive feedback on sound, comfort, and battery life outweighs the reported minor drawbacks.

Disappointed

Well I read all the glowing reviews prior to purchasing and I still came up short. Loved all the features like announcing who was calling, extremely long battery life. However, my calls were constantly dropping from the Bluetooth. Even calls that were announced dropped after I answered. Irritating to say the least because I'd be talking away only to hear a faint voice coming from my phone sitting nearby asking if I could hear them. So back to the store it went. Trying the Voyager 5220 now. We'll see how that goes!

Very easy to connect to phones
little bulky for behind the ear due to wearing sun glasses
But the noise cancellation works good

Excellent Bluetooth. Everyone I talk to loves how I sound. Never drops a call. I never drive my car without it in my ear.

Good but not good.

The device works good except for having to do voice call sometimes three times. The biggest problem is the design. Right at the area where it comes out of the battery (behind the ear) it gets real floppy, and begins to crack. The the whole ear piece starts to flop around. Not good.

Owned 3 Voyagers- Legend is worst of all

After owning 3 previous Voyagers, I was due for a new one as my Pro HD battery was losing talk time and the rubber was bubbling. I bought the Legend expecting great things as usual. There is nothing great about the Legend. They designed a new "proprietary magnetic charging cable" that is one of the most ill-thought out designs ever. 1. You need their proprietary cable. 2. Unlike Apple's Magsafe magnetic charge cable where the magnet actually holds, this one does not, and the unit never charges- never. After wearing down the original charge, then trying both cables it came with on 5 different power sources- nothing. The connection is so poor power will not transmit power to the headset. After talking to their tech support, the rep sheepishly admitted Legend charging complaints due to the cable are very common.
On to the uncomfortable fit… Compared to a Voyager Pro HD, the rubber is quite stiff and does not fit the ear comfortably, plus the curve over-ear is molded different than the Pro, so it fits the ear poorly. I normally use the medium size earbud, but had to use the small one instead-and it was just never right- they changed the fit entirely- why?
I returned the unit within the first week and bought a Voyager 5220. That is MUCH better so far with a REAL Micro USB charge port, flexible rubber, comfortable design and I can use the medium earbud again. Beware: the Voyager Legend is the worst one they ever made. You may start to see these on sale with the 5200 and 5220 coming out in April, 2016. DO NOT BE TEMPTED! The cost savings is just not worth it due to the major design flaws of the Legend. Just get the 5200 and pretend the Legend never happened. I bet Plantronics wishes the Legend never happened either.

After doing a lot of research I bought mine and was happy for the first four months and then it started dropping calls back to the phone and disconnected randomly. Plantronics replaced it & the new one did the same thing, even tried it on another phone. Again it was replaced and a few weeks later started with the same issues. Tech support had me do updates etc but nothing changed. Supposed to be the "best on the market" but I can assure you that it isn't. Three different devices and three different phones. They are replacing it with the Edge so I am crossing my fingers but don't have much faith in their products anymore.

Driving around all day and getting in and out of my truck leaves me no time for cords. This bluetooth headset allows me to move freely without missing a phone call. Highly recommend.

Not Legendary

After owning previous Voyagers, I needed a new one as the battery on my latest Voyager Pro was losing talk time . I bought the Legend expecting great things. There is nothing great about the Legend. The new "proprietary magnetic charging cable" is not one of the best designs. That is being kind. You need their proprietary cable. The magnet does not really hold the device and contact is weak. The result of this weak connection is the unit is sometimes difficult to charge and the indicator light, indicating a charge is taking place, is small and flashes infrequently, so unless one sits and watches, it is easy to miss the indicator. The magnetic connection is so poor I have had many instances where I leave the device "charging", for hours, only to find no charge has taken place.
When I do actually manage a charge, I really like the device, but the change in cables, not allowing me to use the myriad USB cables I had and poor charging experiences, are a killer. I cannot recommend this device.

Thank you for your honest review and feedback on our Voyager Legend, we'll forward your comments to our team for consideration when developing new products and accessories. If you're looking for a headset with a micro USB charging port we recommend that you consider our newer Voyager series headsets (Edge, Focus and 5200): all of them include a proprietary charging port for convenience but also a micro USB charging port for compatibility.

Been using it for 3 months. Headset will stop communicating with phone while I'm in the middle of a call. I have to continually tell both my work and personal phone to send sound/call to the Bluetooth multiple times during a single call. Save your money and don't buy this!!

Terrible Range

I bought 2 of these headsets for me and my girlfriend. The range is absolutely terrible for both of us. We can not even leave the room without these headsets cutting out. The whole point of having a Bluetooth headset is for hands-free experience. What is the point of having to carry our phones with us to use a headset? I truly did not want to spend over $200 to carry my phone with me around the house just so I can talk on this headset. I am returning both and will save $200 and just use our phones rather than carrying them with us

The range of bluetooth used by cell phones is 10 to 33 feet in direct line of sight. Unfortunately that is the limit of the range for headsets used with a cell phone. Normally most people will keep the cell phone in their pocket, and wear the headset to be able to talk hands free.

ok, Plantronics warranty process needs work

This is an "Fair" headset, the first one I received was defective where no one could hear a word I said, I had to go through the Plantronics warranty process, where I got the headset replaced, people can now hear me but I liked the other mfrs headset I had before this. (The one at the bottom of a lake) Plantronics has one of the only warranty programs I am aware of that requires you to spend your own money to return their defective product. Every other electronics company sends you a return shipping label. If I knew the company did this I would have avoided Plantronics products, I know I will in the future!

Unfortunately our one year limited warranty doesn't cover the cost of returning the defective unit.
We appreciate your feedback and will forward it to our service management team for consideration.
