When I first saw it at Best Buy the first time I was in the store, I just walked by and went on thinking I'll find something later. Then both of my other card readers finally died, one I was recently new, beyond return though. I looked at this one and have used it several times since and have liked it a lot, it does what I need to when I need it to. I am glad to see quality coming back into product.

It may be me, but I difficulty with the transfer of data on SD from camera to pc.

This is a decent multiformat card reader. I just hate how slow the transfer speeds are.

Easy to use and a great price point. Other products seem to cost a lot more.

My company takes professional photos and recently took on an intern. The Canon camera we gave him requires different storage devices. As such, we needed a memory card reader. We contacted a friend who does professional photography. He recommended the Insignia. It is light-weight and portable. We have used it successfully on multiple shoots thus far. We are very pleased with the purchase.

I looked all over the place for a solid card reader since I take HD1080i video on my video camera. I transfer full resolution to my Mac Pro video editing system on a regular basis and can't have problems downloading the card to my system. This reader is priced right, powered and a solid card reader. This one will do what you want on a consistent basis with outstanding 3.0 USB speed.

Its small to carry around and easy to use. Different drives for different sizes

Like many of you, I take a ton of photos, and my cameras all use different memory cards- this can create a bit of a problem. Since I save all of my photos on our computer and stand-alone backup drive, this reader has made the process so much easier. It is connected by HDMI and the computer reads it immediately. Not too expensive, but an excellent value and it simply works!

I'm a photographer, and really needed to transfer some SD files. My gaming rig has no SD card reader like my Mac, so I had to find something that would work. Went to my local Best Buy and purchased this reader. Worked perfectly with Windows 7 and 10. I would definitely recommend this product.

This memory card reader is very fast on downloads. The engagement with the pins is somewhat tentative so I don't know if it is fully inserted or not. However, it works great and does what I need. I recommend it. The store peeps need more product knowledge. they had no idea where it was in the store.

I purchased the Insignia Card Reader at Best Buy recently. Took it on vacation with my laptop. After taking about 200 pictures i plugged the memory card into the Insignia Card Reader on my MacBook Pro. The card reader would not load the images onto my computer. After repeated attempts I gave up. I put the memory card back in my camera and it said "No Images" ! the card reader had somehow managed to erase all my images! A professional photography shop was able to use their recovery software to recover the images at a cost of $30 after I got home. I started looking around online for information about the Insignia card reader. I found a famous professional photographer who had made a list of the 6 worst photo accessories he had ever purchased. One of them was the Insignia Card Reader. I couldn't agree more. DO NOT BUY this card reader!

Plugged into a USB port on my laptop and it worked beautifully. I was given a choice of down loading or viewing. I selected the photos I Wanted And Downed Loaded them. The next choice was to keep or delete the ones I just downloaded. I opted to keep them. Easy, peasy. Love this device.

Does everything as advertised. Pretty straightforward operation

I was pleasantly surprised to be able to find a replacement card reader so easily at Best Buy. Somehow, somewhere I misplaced the other one that I had. For the minimal cost, and being able to buy it at the store allowed me to view my photos in a timely manner and get on to the editing process.. It works great, and it will be getting a lot more use.

I had two SanDisk memory cards fail after using this reader. It worked well for about 3 months, but then started causing issues. After trouble shooting with SanDisk, they believed it to be the card reader. I recommend getting another brand for a card reader.

Not much to say other than you can use this to get data off of cards you didn't have native support for. We have a lot of cameras, phones, smart pens, Raspberry Pi's, etc. around the office so this made it easy to have just one adapter to pull data from all of those devices.

Works well. Bought to use with my game camera sd card.

Just needed something to replace my old out dated 2000 sandisk card reader. Works fine, just wished it would do the dishes too. I'm not complaining or anything, but someone around here needs to do the dishes and laundry. Maybe the next product in this line will design something that can do the chores when it's not being used.

Loved it until one day i plug in my compact card and it went in crooked. Bent pin. I only bought it for all my photographer collegues said this is the safest way to transfer files. Have an older cf reader and it’s sits deeper into the card slot.
