I had 8GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport CL9 RAM (2x4GB). I needed to upgrade so that I could work with video editing better. These PNY sticks work just fine with the Crucial, since they are the same speed and latency. (Don't let anyone tell you you can't mix brands. You can, and you can even mix speeds most of the time. Your motherboard will just set everything at the lowest rated memory. Your RAM just has to all be the same type: ie, DDR3). They are dual channel, so works nicely with dual-channel RAM motherboards. They obviously aren't the fastest sticks on the track, but unless you are constantly running some really intense software, your RAM speed of the same type doesn't really make that huge of an impact. As a side note, remember that WIndows 7 Home and Home Premium only address 16GB of RAM. If adding this to your system takes you above that, then you will need to upgrade to Pro or Ultimate.

I purchased and returned two days later after experiencing memory crashes on my ASUS Essentio CM6850-07 running Windows 10. I got another identical set of cards in exchange and they seem to be chugging along just fine. I wouldn't bother if it were full price, as you could get a better card set from a more reliable brand for around that price. But, if PNY is discounted and you aren't doing anything too crazy on your machine I think it is a good deal.

This ram was purchased to replace ordered ram (from another source) that was dead on arrival. It was a purchase of necessity, but after all the work I've done with the computer the ram hasn't stuttered yet. I play games, watch movies, and frequently multi-task applications on my computer (running dual monitors).

This ram is an excellent deal if you can purchase it below its MSRP of $79.99, however, there are some issues you'll have to tackle before you can get it to the specifications listed. This RAM will inform your BIOS that it should run at 1333 MHz. You may want to overclock it to its rated frequency before you begin using your system. Warranties at this stage shouldn't be a problem, because you've purchased memory listed at that speed. In summary, it works well. It gets lower ratings in benchmarks than more expensive memory, but that is just to be expected. It looks nice and doesn't interfere with my heatsink. I'd recommend it if you're willing to do the work on it.

Installed this in a 64 bit PC running windows 7. The computer came stock with only 2gb. After installing the 8gb, the computer loads windows so much faster and runs without hiccups.

Purchased two of these giving my computer 32GB. This my first time building and modifying computers and this ram installed perfectly and is more than enough for anything I can throw at them. Alot of people say they come running at around 1300mhz but mine are showing the full 1600mhz. I plan to try to over clock them later and see what I can do. Great product but the price is a bit too steep in my opinion. But then again its priced competitively vs rivals but I think those are way overpriced.

The only reason this is not getting an five stars is that one of the four modules I bought had to be taken back to the store because it was DOA. This is just your basic Ram, but it installs easy and performs well. I bought it on sale and it was a great value.

Decent memory when you finally get some that's good. PNY calls this their performance series. This review doesn't cover that aspect but rather the memory quality in general. Bought a set of these to install in my HP Pavilion p7-1534 AMD desktop to replace the single 8gb stick and move to 16gb and enable dual channel mode. Installed 2 modules and everything was fine. Then they ended up going on sale so I headed back up to BB and got another pair to boost the memory to 32 gig and I wanted all the DIMMS to match. Then the problems started. The PC would pass POST and boot to Windows 8.1 fine but I'd get lockups and BSOD's. I'm experienced enough to know that this issue most always is either bad memory modules or driver issues. Since the PC was fine with the first set of memory, I decided to use memtest86+ to check each of the new sticks one at a time and sure enough one stick had errors. Returned those to BB. Return was no hassle as always at BB. BB was out of stock so I ordered another set from an online retailer. Before even trying to use the new sticks, I ran memtest86+ on each of the new sticks and instantly had another stick with errors. I set up a replacement from the retailer and received another set. So finally I got a set that is fine and tests good. Both sticks pass memtest86+ and are working fine with my original set for a total of 32gb (4 x 8gb dimms) RAM in dual channel mode. So moral of the story... this is decent RAM "IF" you find it on sale and "IF" it tests good. This is my first experience with PNY's desktop RAM and so far not impressed with their quality control for this model. If you buy this, I suggest you thoroughly test each stick with a memory testing program before the retailers return policy expires. Good luck, keep trying and hopefully you'll eventually get a good pair. So yes would recommend with the above stipulations.

I bought these RAM chips to speed up my 3 year old HP. They were very easy to install myself (sorry Geek Squad) and made a definite difference in the performance of my computer

Really good product and easy to install upgrade. After installation, my system detected and accepted the memory upon restart. It also increased the boot time of my system.

Picked this up for my brothers computer to give him a lot more RAM then his computer came with. Works great and his computer ran much faster after it was installed.

I was looking to speed up my son's computer as he had only the minimum amount of memory. Very reasonable price and liked that 2 sticks were bundled together.

i bought this for my pc build to game with and after upgrading to this ram my pc is noticeablely faster and run better

When it comes to PC performance, its hard to beat adding more RAM especially if you are using your workstation for music production or video editing. I use it for both. These came quickly from Best Buy and were a breeze to install. I noticed instant performance gains, decreased rendering times and the processor load wasn't nearly as high when recording or using VST's. These are a great value and I highly recommend them.

works really well and does what it's meant to do but you can find cheaper Memory that have better customer service and have faster timings 9-9-9-24 this has 9-9-9-27 I am referring to Corsair Vengance Pro. I have tried to contact PNY customer support about a problem, I was doing something wrong and they never called back that bothers me Corsair answered every time

Fast memory is cheep at twice the price. If your inmto games then this is a must. Fast memory makes games and other apps run faster and smoother, If you just use your computer for email and surfing the web and office apps. then don't waste the money but if your a gamer then this is for you

Purchased one 8GB stick of this RAM a good while back and it has performed well. Now you can get 2X8GB sticks for the price of one! Great performing memory, great price, and the size will not interfere with any other components such as the water cooling radiator.

I was looking for black low profile ram pack for my ITX build and stumbled upon these, and was pleasantly satisfied. Get value for what you get. Although it's only 1600Mhz, this pack is more than enough for my build. Great buy!
