Excellent hard drive is fast . Excellent buy compatible with windows and mac os

I'm don't remember what specific project I bought this for but I've been using it as a project drive for a couple months now and it's taken everything I've thrown at it. I used it to boot Ubuntu to see if an old motherboard still worked, I've used it with a SATA to USB cable a number of times as an external drive, most recently I used it to back up a PS4 while I did an upgrade to it's storage, and it worked great in all those cases. It's not the fastest SSD around and feels kinda cheap in the hands but it functions and doesn't ask any questions and that's what I need it to do.

Reads fast. Easy replacement drive. And a very good price

This is not the first time I have used this model. This drive was installed in a very old Desktop PC and really gave it new life. Highly recommend and of the major manufactures of these very speedy drives. Worth every penny.

This brought my old Dell Laptop running Windows 7 back to life. Once installed it made my processing speeds just like a new laptop and thus saved money on buying a new one savings me 100's. Also can bring your operating system up to Windows 10, no problems.

Sometime you want to breathe new life into an old computer and you don't want to spend a lot of money doing it. That's where these PNY SSDs come in. Although I don't expect them to have the same reliability as the much more expensive S*****g, I'm willing to risk my simple web browsing to these. Also, they're an American company, according to Wikipedia. I'm going to give this product an overall 5 stars because of their low cost, and also I've used several and they've never failed me. (This is the same review I gave to the 240GB PNY, but consider getting this greater capacity 500GB if you need the extra space or to double the amount of data (in theory) that can be written to it before it fails.

Bought this for a modded 360. Haven't had any issues.

Replaced HHD with PNY SSD on an old MacBook Pro, fresh installed operating system and it works perfect. The Mac computer is fast and like brand new. I highly recommend to anyone trying to upgrade an old HHD. You will notice the difference.

I recently had several issues with my laptop, both of which were readily and professionally diagnosed and repaired by Geek Squad technicians. The most recent was a recommendation to replace the hard drive that came with the purchase of the laptop 7 years ago. The new drive addressed all the issues of slowing performance that I came to Best Buy/Geek Squad to diagnose. I am very pleased withe the new drive, but more than that, with the skills and customer service eithics I encountered.

Bought for an upgrade to a Intel 7th gen laptop that came with a hard drive. Brought new life to it. Along with a wireless upgrade this system is now as good for general usage as my current one.

Great product! I Cloned the old drive and noticed a huge speed increase from the non-SSD hard drive.

Picked this up on sale for CHEAP! Grab these on sale vs full price. M.2 drives are getting cheaper and cheaper. If you can spend the extra money - get one of those. If not - these still work just great at slower speeds.

I purchased this relatively inexpensive SSD to replace the HDD in a laptop. The laptop itself was older and starting to be so slow that it was almost useless. This SSD gave it new life and now it runs like new!
