I purchased this drive and installed windows 10. It seemed to be fine for a while and then it just stopped working and would not boot. I replaced the cable and attempted to initialize the disk and that's as far as it gets. This drive failed at just over a month. I am currently out of the window to return it, so I'm stuck with this garbage.

I brought in my laptop for a conversion from windows 7 to 10 keep the programs but I must buy a new battery. Days later I was called
to pick up my laptop. When I went I was told I need to buy a new
hard drive which I did and took the laptop home. Three days later when I tried to turn the laptop on it would not initiate. I brought the
Laptop back and was told that I need to buy a new laptop. They threw away my useless laptop that had been working before being
"fixed" by Geek Squad.

A nothing fancy SSD for a nothing fancy laptop. I've used these low-end PNYs in other devices, all still working fine. The MTBF and TBW ratings are more than adequate, the performance increases over a traditional hard drive are very significant. Reboots windows in under 20 seconds, woot!
Also kudos to Macrium reflect free version. With it, a blank dvd for boot media, and a USB 3.0 flash drive to hold the drive image, the swap took about 90 minutes -- most of which was spent "carefully" cracking open the laptop.
Boo Lenovo! 13 screws and I still had to pry/pop it open! Why???

So far so good. I have replace the hard drives in two laptops and one desktop with these drives and everything setup and worked flawlessly. I did reinstall the OS on the laptops in about 1/4 of the time it would usually take. On the desktop I used a cloning software to transfer the OS and files to this SSD. It worked flawlessly and all three are now much quicker on boot and in general than they were with traditional HDs.
