I was looking for a solution to locking up my MacBook Air, since Apple removed the security slot from the MBP and MBA laptops. The PNY was recommended by a friend. I like the way it fits, but it was a little difficult to get it installed. Just make sure you get the right metal tab for your computer. I do worry about thieves bending the tab, but it would take a bit of effort on their part.

The lock give you 3 different locking options, which is nice. It kind of seems like someone with the right tools could just cut the metal tab off very easily. I wish the large tab wasn't so long on the back end, but maybe that's for larger laptops than I have. Still, the smaller one I think I could pull right through the slot if I wanted. I don't want to scratch my screen or I'd try, but it looks like it will go. I wish the rubber coat the inside behind the logo or something so you're less likely to scratch it. Great cable length on the lock though. I also wish you could set your own combination.

I haven't used it yet, but being that the 15 inch macbook pro does not a slot this is what you'll have to use.

With the options of how to connect to your specific mac its a great accessory for when traveling or being out and about with your macbook. I would have liked to have picked my own code for the lock but no other issues as it just simply works and doesn't feel in the way.

Really like the size and usefulness of the lock and ease of locking and unlocking. Small enough to fit in my computer case with my laptop.

I tried using this to lock up my Chromebook while I was at work. While I can still use the locking combo cable, the little metal pieces that hook into the screen didn't actually lock my computer. This product is only for Mac laptops!

It's a pretty good lock for the price! The multiple metal fittings for it actually work well. I wish apple didn't take the security port out of MacBooks but this is a good solution to it. It keeps people honest.

Easy to use, it looks good, and my computer feels secure. It's a great option for the new MacBooks Retina that no longer have how to attach a lock.

My parents got this lock for me after learning that computers were one of the highest on the list of things stolen on college campuses. So far, this lock has work well for me. It is easy to use and I feel comfortable leaving my dorm room with it locked up. I would recommend this lock to anyone who feels that there computer is at risk of being stolen. It is easy to install and easy to use.

I was disappointed about the new Macbook Pros not having a Kensington Lock port. This product provides a solution for laptops without the Kensington lock port.

What can I say? It's a really good security cable for laptops. Comes with all the adapter hardware you'll ever need, depending on make and model of laptop.

I bought this product and took it back because I could not figure out how to push the thin blade through. The Best Buy people were great in helping me out. You do have to have some place where there is a leg of a table or head borad that you can loop through if you are in a college dorm. Not all beds have pleaces where you can loop the wire cable. Otherwise, a great product.

While the package claims that it works with MacBooks, I found the security device tough to get in between the hinge of my MacBook without using a pliers to bend the metal security piece.

But worked for other laptops, not on Mac Air. Overall locking worked

Works fine, has two options for locking. A thin metal piece that fits between the keyboard and screen, which tends to scratch the surface; alternatively it will lock into the side in a small opening near the disk drive. This works fine, but fits loosely so it rattles a bit.

I like the fact that my son's computer is safely locked to his desk in his dorm room. It was very easy to set up and I'm sure it will be used as long as he is a college student. I recommend this product to anyone who needs to keep their computer safe.

It does what ti needs to do but that's it. The design for a MacBook Pro could be much better

thought this a great idea for a lap top for a dorm room at college when she is not in the room she knows that her computer is safe we recomended this to several other parents also.
