It works great. I recommend it to anyone who is trying to download anything to keep contact with.

Rugged would mean you don't have to wiggle it into it's slot or use two hands to insert it or it would not stay extended while inserting it.
Anyway, all that data at such a cool price. Too bad it isn't rugged enough not to worry about it surviving alwa/s close at . hand in your pocket.

Its not fast but at least its SLOW!
Copying 100 gigs of photos to it and its averaging around 15 MB/sec.
The same files pulled off a SSD to external SSD USB drive were like 10x faster. This thing has SLOOOW write speeds which is bad if you are copying lots of files to it. Its going to take hours for what should take minutes.

It works decently well with specific USB ports, but otherwise I would avoid it. SanDisk drives are about the same price and are faster.
When using this drive with a normal USB 3.0 port, it averages about the same write speed as another PNY USB 2.0 variant. It's also pretty unstable.
But when plugging this drive into a SS 3.0 USB port (USB 3.1 Gen 2) the write speeds nearly tripled and the results were much more consistent.
The drive is faster than the 2.0 sticks, but only with fairly new / somewhat uncommon hardware. If you've got a PC or MOBO that's more than 5 years old, just buy the 2.0 version instead.

I absolutely hate buying from Best Buy, Everytime I buy there’s always something wrong. I bought this on a Thursday and it came the next week on Tuesday. I had ordered expedited shipping so it should’ve came on Saturday. Now that not why I’m upset. I’m upset b/c I returned the usb the next day and I only got half the refund. On top of that I didn’t get the shipping refunded till I told Best Buy and waited about a week. I’m still waiting for Best Buy to refund me the rest of the money. Honestly I’d rather shop on Amazon it’s much easier.

The data write speeds are terrible. I wanted to make a portable live boot using this stick. But the write speeds are so slow on a USB 3 port that it takes 4mins for the system to just boot to the very first login screen.

Was not made aware I would lose 26 gb because computers read the drives lower than they are. Plugged it in and it only has 230gb. Very disappointed because I got this size because my laptop has 237gb. Literal facepalm. Still works but I wish I was made aware before buying.
Well kick me in the liver, e bad reviews are true.

I made a video with my friends once. It was about a talking carp. Yep. A carp that was a shaman. He gave glad tidings to 2 young men. As you can imagine, it was absolute garbage. In fact we named it garbage trout mouth. And that's what this drive is. Garbage. Already had to format twice. You can see my transfer speeds. It wont read in my S9+ I'm over it.
P.S. when the bad reviews all point at one thing, you had better listen. I chanced it because of the price drop. I might as well have stuffed my money into a sausage and fed it to my yellow lab.
