A beautiful game, unfortunately the chibi style wasn't the best way to remake this game in my opinion. But still a fun and quality pokemon

Remake of Diamond and Pearl! It's so good!!!

If you loved Diamond and Pearl you'll love this remake. It's sooooo cute and the graphics look so good! There's just something about seeing your favorite old Pokemon game updated to have really sharp colorful graphics and moving around in a 3D environment! Seeing all your favorite pokemon updated and in 3D graphics feels great. I loooove this game!!!! Also, very important. Make sure if you're buying games, try to always buy the physical and not digital. With the way the world has been going these days, digital is just a license and you don't own it. Physical copies are the way to go. Always get physical if it's available. You also have the option of reselling when you no longer want the game so it becomes: (Amount you Paid) - (Amount you got after reselling) = Amount you paid to borrow and play the game for X amount of years! Gamer math!

This is a great remake to the Pokemon Series. I don't know why it received mixed reviews since it played out exactly how the DS version did with the added mining mechanic which is actually pretty addicting. Having your secret base underground and finding the stone sculptures of pokemon was really fun. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are pretty much enhanced spruced up versions of Platinum. They all have the same things that Platinum did except they do have specific pokemon to their versions. They're great Pokemon games and if you loved Diamond and Pearl a lot, then definitely don't sit and wait to get it. You know how Pokemon games get more and more expensive as the years go by.

First Gen 4 Game - Enjoying it so far

I never played Gen 4--fell off Pokemon after Gen 3 came out, so this is quite the experience for me. The game runs great and find it challenging as well so far. My only issue is how finicky the controls are in moving--both D-pad and stick. It's hard to explain other than awkward, stiff, tricky, and a bit disorienting. Controls on the gen 3 remake on my 2DS XL didn't have issues of keeping the character in a grid-focus pattern when walking if using the D-pad, but here it seems to get desynced, causing some awkward collisions into walls, trainers and walking around them, and even jumping over a cliff when I only wanted to stand behind it. Of course you got the EXP Share All forever on just like in Sw/Sh... which has been useful but prefer it there was an option to turn it off than be forced on--is a minor annoyance honestly. For some reason you can access your computer still but only for the ball sticker feature... that you can do at any time on the menu screen... rather redundant and unnecessary thing for you to access your computer like that. It's a bit difficult to tell if I'm going to hit the collision of the "back of a building" when going east/west or not because of the angle of the camera and how the characters desync from the grid-pattern when using the D-pad. I've only gotten up to the 2nd gym and having a good time. The music, the graphics, the story thus far, the pokemon... I'm loving it. Just wish the controls weren't so... odd.

These games look absolutely beautiful! I love the new underground option that was added. I recommend that for grinding out levels on your Pokémon. You will have fun on your new adventure through the the Sinnoh region.

Diamond and Pearl have been my favorite games in the franchise ever since I first played them, and I loved getting a chance to play them with better visuals and on my TV. The underground has been improved massively, which is awesome because that was my favorite thing about the originals. Highly recommended for anyone who loved Diamond and Pearl growing up.

Bought Pokémon Pearl back in the day and wanted to get back into Pokémon. Shinning Pearl has been lots of fun. Especially with all the clone / item / duplication glitches. I work 6 days and don’t have time to grind anymore like when I was a kid way back when. Shadows, graphics, and overall gameplay has been updated and feels refreshing. Wasn’t a big fan of sword and shield, but this game definitely has been a lot of fun. Especially the underground map.

Already logged hours into it, and ignored all leaked / published footage, and was pleasantly surprised. Little fixes make casual playing alot easier (hidden moves, poketech, etc.). The gyms seem a tad harder than before, while the side-story is alittle easier to blitz through. Awesome so far, great visuals, and fantastic way to remake a gem of a game from 06'.

Very faithful to the original game with some extra content! The style is reminiscent of the original Chibi-like characters when walking about the world, but then goes back to the more “proportionally accurate” character models when you are in combat. Highly recommend getting when on sale!

I've been playing these Pokemon games since the late '90s on a Game Boy lol, and they just keep getting better. Is it basically the same idea? Yes...travel around, collect Pokemon, battle other folks. But the improvements to graphics and gameplay (e.g. ingame menus, etc.) are fantastic!

Great game to add to the classic Pokémon experience. Runs well on switch docked or hand held. Gameplay is true to how it was on DS or Gameboy if you are lucky to have experienced the original.

I really enjoyed this game. I beat it rather quickly but I had never played through that Pokemon region before and it was great. This is a must have for a Pokemon fan. I really grew to like the Chibi art style. The game gets significantly harder at the elite 4 but thats the way it should be.

Good "reboot" of Pearl with nice graphics. Purists might miss the old-school 2D look, but the update to a modern 3D look with the standard gameplay mechanics is a pretty nice combination.
