I had never heard of this movie until I found it at Best Buy. I looked it up online and saw it got some good reviews so I picked it up. I am glad I did. The Blu-ray quality is excellent and the story line is very good as well. Rango is a chameleon who becomes becomes sheriff of a desert town. The characters include a rattlesnake, a Gila monster, a tortoise and other desert animals. Amazingly the plot is as good as the animation and the story works very well. I am a fan of classic westerns and I really enjoyed this movie. It took me a few minutes to get comfortable with the idea of a western told with animated animal characters but once I did I enjoyed this movie.

This is not the typical "rainbow bright colors" type of animated movie that are there as a buffet. This one has a different taste, another flavor from the bunch. I am not saying the buffet of animated movies available are bad (I enjoy and love many of them), however, It taste good sometimes new flavors, new directions, a different approach. Def, you can see Johnny Depp as Rango. It is the type of imaginary world I can see him in. I was surprise how little kids can enjoy this movie. I really think this is a great movie for friends and family.

I admit this was just an impulse purchase. I had seen the movie before and enjoyed it so much once I saw that this was on sale, it was a rather easy decision. This movie maybe skews toward slightly older audience, while remaining very funny and entertaining. The visuals are stunning and even in DVD are impressive. The voice acting is also top notch, with Johnny Depp's titular character charming the whole way through. If you want a quality animated movie that isn't your typical kid's fare, I highly recommend Rango.

We had reservations about this film when we first saw it advertised. So we waited until it appeared in one of our cable channels to watch it. Our fears were completely unfounded as we all thought this was a terrific movie! Everyone enjoyed Rango - so much so that we bought the disc. Johnny Depp voices Rango and he is just perfect as this eccentric lizard. Definitely a keeper for this family!

I loved this movie. It's Johnny Depp as a cartoon character (as if he isn't already in real life). It's a fun story with a great lesson. I would let youngish children watch it as the lessons are good ones, but I think adults and Depp fans will love it even more. It's a great western movie (think The Man With No Name series) with a touch of Hunter S Thompson's Fear and Loathing. It's a fun movie and great for the family.

Loved this reaction animation as Gote called it. It is a fun movie. I would recommend this to anyone with a child. I can picture Johnny doing the movements. I watched behind the scenes on Youtube. If you have the chance to check them out. It's worth it.

Not my favorite kid's movie as an adult, but my nieces and nephews laughed a lot.

We loved Rango. It was more than appropriate for the kids, but also had plenty of moments parents would find funny and entertaining too. It's one of those underdog movies. So if you like seeing the little guy come out on top, this is a good pick. Johnny Depp does great in this animated film but he has always been very versatile.

I'm a single father, my son its 13 and I bought this movie for him and we watched it during dinner and lived it. This is a great movie for the entire family to enjoy together, we tend to stick with these animated type films because i know that we'll both be able to enjoy without any R rated dialog in them, and they bring out the kid inn me as well
