I originally got this as aback up to a Raspberry Pi 3 which was running Ubiquity controller software for a wireless access point because Windows kept screwing up on the server. Needless to say the Pi 3 ran flawlessly and I am going to convert this into a Pihole. I did buy another so I can set up a static web server. But the projects are endless from robotics to being a mini retro arcade if you have the roms.

I would say, over all the kit worked out ok. In the end though you really need to get the micro HDMI adapters and some kind of cooled case of a heatsink case to make the best of it. I've been running open media vault on it for a while now and it's been very stable with USB enclosure I have setup with RAID5. No major glitches yet. I would say they need to drop their price a little since the raspberry pi 2GB has dropped in price.

Bought this for a friend because he loves the raw experience of building things from the ground up. He put this in a DIY LEGO NES kit which I also bought for him as an early birthday present. If i didnt buy this he would have ruined his birthday for me! I have to win all the birthdays. But overall he loves the Pi 4 board. Wishes it came with all the necessary cables but what can you do?

Got it to tinker with Linux. Didn’t really think much of it going in, but now, I’m using it more than I use my laptop! Very easy to configure, great for kids and adults. And if you just want a cheap little computer to do light tasks and browse the web, this is all you need!
After buying this one, I bought another just to play with it’s different capabilities. Highly recommend!

This is the newest version of rasberry pie (4). If you have a 3d printer, this gives you the opportunity to view the progress of your print from anywhere in the world, assuming you have internet access. It definitely is a "must have" for 3d printer enthusiasts.

Upgrading from a Pi3 this has been immensely more powerful and useful.
Playing with small programs and automating things around the house, this is always fun to play with. Looking to power some home automation with this over a touchscreen.
Best buy had a great sale on this so thats an additional plus!

I bought this because I needed a little machine capable of running pi-hole.
Single Board Computers(SBCs) are coming along by storm and I personally love it! However, while all those others have some potentially compelling offerings, for those who are looking into their first, The Raspberry Pi is THE SBC to start with.

Grabbed this pi to set up network-wide ad blocking (Pi-hole) and I haven't had any issues with the hardware. Comes with an adequate power supply as well which is a plus. Set up will vary greatly depending on your use-case, but I didn't have any issues getting mine up and running. Overall a board with a well rounded feature-set that can do a lot.

Highly recommended for "single task" users. The 2GB of ram goes fast if you want a desktop environment that does multiple things. If you do a single task at a time, this is perfect. If you want to multitask go for the 4GB or 8GB version.

We used a slightly better version of these for IT boot camps for kids and the kids loved working and programming with them. This version is missing the bread board and micro SIM card, but those are cheap and the instructions to install the free OS are pretty straightforward. With a little time, a mouse, monitor, keyboard, and a SIM card you can have your own mini computer in the palm of your hands.

Got this on a closeout, with the intent of sharing a computer screen for gaming or watching a streamed show on my big TV. It sorta works for this. The Linux distro that comes with it works, and Steam is easy to install, but it's just kinda slow/janky. I might be doing something wrong, but it was cheap so I can't complain.
