Customers are saying

Customers commend the Viper Ultimate Ultralight Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse's lightweight design, excellent battery life, and included charging dock. Many appreciate the wireless functionality and comfortable ergonomics, along with the high-quality build and responsive performance. However, some users experienced issues with the side buttons and scroll wheel, while others found the size or software less than ideal. Overall, the positive feedback on the mouse's core features outweighs the reported minor drawbacks.

I wanted to like this mouse

This mouse has excellent tracking, the skates were perfect for gaming and design work, very smooth with no slipping. The weight and macros were a nice bonus. This mouse is truly ambidextrous, but the side buttons are really only comfortable/useable with your dominant hand. The build quality seemed solid, my only gripe is the ergonomics of the mouse. In typical Razer fashion they added weird humps that made my pinky finger cramp after a couple hours of use. I have small/medium hands and use a mix of claw and palm grip. I tried to adjust my grip, but no matter what, I couldn’t find a comfortable position. I really wanted to like this mouse but it didn’t work for me. I ended up exchanging it for a HyperX Pulsefire Wireless.

Great lightweight wireless mouse. The M1 and M2 are very clicky while also being optical switches, so the reliable should be top notch. Sensor performance is perfect and having a charging dock is nice. Some build issues are kind of creeky scroll wheel and a slightly loose side button on the left side. Also the battery life on a single charge isn't as long as your typical logitech mouse, but the dock makes up for it. If you know you like this type of mouse shape, then the Viper Ultimate is a no brainer.

Feels great in my hands! Very smooth to use and the RBG light is a nice touch. My favorite feature is the charging dock, which means NO BATTERIES required!

Really wish I could have held it before buying but that’s my fault for making a compulsive purchase. Product is fantastic. Lightweight (all things considered), no lag/latency issues, never lost connection wirelessly, and the battery lasts MUCH longer than expected. I have the light set to a low 5% brightness and turn off after 5 min idle. I’ve never been in a situation where I needed to charge it between or during use (even when I literally used it all day). The only negative things I can come up with would be: the software, but synapse is not as bad as some people claim it to be; The left click button developed a scratchy/creeky sound and fell over time; I wish they added more buttons (for ex: above and below the scroll wheel to increase/decrease DPI easily or cycle up/down profiles). Otherwise, very well done.

Brilliant Mouse, Great Feel, Slight QA issues

Pros: This mouse feels absolutely great to use. The weight is very balanced, and the mouse itself feels very responsive. As far as I can tell, there is no/minimal difference between the wireless and wired latency. The battery life is pretty good for a rechargeable mouse, and I average around 50 hours of use with a 1000hz polling rate, and 25% rgb brightness. Cons: The scroll wheel doesn't feel as nice as it should for a mouse that costs as much as it does, and I had issues with the right and left click buttons grinding/scratching when actuating.

    A Mouse Matching its Value.

I always had kept my eyes on this mouse when I first saw videos about it on YouTube being posted by all of the tech reviewers I follow (HardwareCanucks, Brandon Taylor, BadSeed Tech, etc.). I generally keep two mice on me, one being for my laptop if I ever have to go somewhere, and it did break, so it was a good opportunity for me to pick this thing up, especially since it was going for $129, and after using it for a month, I can say that this is a price that matches its value. Razer did an outstanding job with the build quality of this thing while managing to keep the weight low without putting holes in the shell like every other manufacturer going for lightweight gaming mouse have done so. The only other wireless mouse that comes close to the 74 gram weight without any holes is the Logitech G Pro, which weighs in at 80 grams. And this thing is wireless, too, which means it has a battery inside of it, and that adds to the weight. But for it to be by only 5 grams compared to its wired sibling? That's impressive. Another thing is that it comes with a charging dock that can quickly charge the mouse; 90 minutes for a full charge, which is really nice. It even has different color indicators when it's on the dock to show how much charge it has, plus the dock itself can be stuck down to a surface (though I haven't done so in case I need to move it). You can also plug the wireless dongle into the dock. Uses the same switches as its wired brother, so no need to explain much here; optical switches, so instead of a metal contact, a beam of light, meaning there should be no double clicking in the long run. Will say though, if you have a Logitech G Pro and you're happy with it, then stay with that, it's a great mouse. But if you're looking for a really nice upgrade from what you got, I say the Razer Viper Ultimate is definitely worth the investment, and it's one of the many signs that Razer has improved the quality of their products as of recent to match what people are looking for without compromising the price.

    Razer Viper Ultimate - Great!

Great mouse so far. It was easy to transition from my Logitech G900 to this as they are both ambidextrous and similar in shape, while being far lighter which is a nice bonus. The main reason I went with Razer instead of another Logitech is because I did not want to deal with failing mouse switches again like on my G900. The viper ultimate has optical switches which detect clicks based on infrared light interrupts instead of metal to metal contact which should eliminate that problem entirely. Check out Alex Kenis' video on YT titled "Failing switch problem: Omron vs the modern mouse circuit" for an explanation why Logitech switches are failing, very important information for someone who cares how long the products they purchase last. Wireless performance is amazing as expected from modern wireless gaming mice and seems just as good if not better than my G900. Razer software is annoying in my opinion and I removed it once I set my dpi levels to what I wanted, which are stored on the mouse so no software is needed after initial setup. The dpi toggle button is on the bottom of the mouse but can be pressed one handed so keep that in consideration if you frequently change dpi settings. The charge dock is a great quality of life improvement from the G900 as all I have to do is set the mouse there every day or two and I never have to worry about charging again. It is much simpler than plugging in a cable and I recommend the extra cost to get it. You can still plug in the mouse directly if you run low during a gaming session and it includes a port to plug in the mouse receiver so you can still get those pretty leds with only one usb port used up (defaults to slow rainbow color shift without any software installed).

It took me a while to buy a 150$ mouse because my first $100+ mouse i bough (650 wireless) I was disappointed by it and ended up returning it. This mouse is awesome though and the charger is convenient and works when your PC is off. It is super lightweight! Which is crazy because its wireless. i get no lag from it being wireless performs just as good if not better than any wired mouse ive used. Only bad thing i can say are how high the side buttons are but thats something ive gotten used to now.

Some people would find it insane to drop $150 on a mouse, but I did, and I'm quite happy with it. Charging dock is a must IMO, cause once you're over $100 on a mouse, what's an extra 20? It's kind of a pain to plug it in directly, so the dock makes it much easier. Weight is truly impressive for a wireless mouse, especially given the battery life. Will easily last 2-3 days with the lights off. Only minor complaint is once or twice a week it will disconnect after going to sleep, but it fixes itself in about 2 seconds if you unplug and replug the reciever dongle from the dock. Oh, and also Synapse is pretty nice, although it's a bit obnoxious it wants you to make an account with them.

I've had multiple wireless and wired mice but this one is special. There was typically always some latency problem with other wireless mice or they were just plain uncomfortable. This one fits perfectly in my hand (I have average-sized adult hands), lasts long on a battery and has a nice charging stand. I had no issues with latency and the mouse starts blinking red when indicating that it will die soon. In my opinion it's the best mouse on the market right.

This mouse is great and so far my favorite Razer mouse, the optical means you don’t have to worry about double clicking. You do give up a bit of that tactile feel since the switches are optical switch but they’re not a dealbreaker, the coating is great for sweaty hands and it’s really lightweight. Rgb is awesome and the feet as well, the charging dock makes this actually worth $150 and it’s usually on sale for less.
