Simply the best Xbox controller, hands-down!

Great placement of macro buttons, lots of customization options. You can adjust the macro buttons on the fly. There is some quality control issues with some having stick drift out of the box. I lucked out. This controller is replacing my wolverine V2 chroma. The bottom button placement is much better in comparison. This controller is expensive expensive, but it is cheaper than a scuf and a scuf will only last you a few months until it has drift.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Feels Great After Xbox Elite Series 2 — Bett

I recently switched to the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller after using an Xbox Elite Series 2, and overall I’m impressed — especially with the feel and added programmable controls. For Xbox Series X|S and PC gaming, this controller delivers solid responsiveness and customization that feels like a meaningful step up from standard pads. The 6 remappable buttons (including the extra one on the bumper) give you more flexibility in how you control your games — very handy for shooters and action titles where quick inputs matter. The triggers are fast and smooth, and the ergonomics make longer sessions feel comfortable. What I liked: Awesome programmable buttons: The extra remappable bumper adds real utility and feels great in fast-paced games Comfortable build: Ergonomics are solid and feel balanced in hand Fast triggers: Crisp and responsive inputs for competitive play Wireless convenience: Reliable connection with minimal lag on both Xbox and PC Good overall feel: A noticeable upgrade in customization compared to a standard Xbox pad What to consider: Coming from an Elite Series 2, some advanced hardware adjustability (like swappable parts) isn’t here — but the added remappable buttons make up for that in practical use Fully wireless use may need occasional recharging depending on playtime Added value with Totaltech: As a Best Buy Totaltech member, the 2-year protection gave added confidence when upgrading. It’s nice knowing that performance peripherals like this are backed by coverage if anything doesn’t go right. Bottom line The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless is a strong choice if you want extra customization and responsive controls without being tied to a wired-only pad. The remappable buttons, fast triggers, and comfortable build make it an excellent controller for Xbox Series X|S and PC gaming — especially if you enjoyed the feel of the Elite Series 2 but want more programmable options. Highly recommended for competitive and casual gamers who value responsive controls and added flexibility.

    A controller to consider

This is a great controller especially because of the hall effect sticks that is in them making this controller immune to stick drift. But I am not a fan of the xbox layout of the controller. I gave it a try coming from the dual sense edge for my PC but decided to return. Also you are able to switch to “Competitive Mode” which lets you get to 1000 hz in the controller so that you can get an advantage. But when you do that, the controller does cut out for a split second and is a bit of a hassle to get back on. Overall though I think the controller is great in value and if you love the xbox layout then this controller definitely is something you should consider.

So far an excellent controller. Still disappointed that there are a few older games it is not compatible with but that may just be steam itself. All that aside. Works great for all the games I use it for so for. Quick reaction times. Great feel in the hands. For a hard core gamer it definitely works.

Ive owned Xbox elite controllers for years now. Simce the original elite comtroller. Ive always had live for them. And one of my favorite features being the orientation and placement of the rear programmable buttons. My only dissapointment wjth these controllers is everyone ive owned does last more then a year to a year and a half before at least one of the buttons begin malfunctioning. I would always replace with warrenty but would continue to have issues with the same problem. Buttons not working somehow some way. This wolverine comtroller i dont forsee this being an issue due to the mouse click short travel of 90% of the buttons. It also feels better in the hands by far. The only frason i even tried this remote is because the placement of the rear mappable buttons. THIS IS TOP TIER. I have yet to have any issues with remote and the battery life is amazing. 10/10 id buy this again. I do wish they offered different colors to make it more exciting.

I love checking out what razer, scuf, and gamesir are cooking when it comes to Xbox controllers. The wolverine is a very good controller, the build quality is easily the best, it has those nice tactile buttons if you like your controller sounding like a mouse. The price is fair for build quality but my one gripe is I’m not a fan of the back paddles I feel like for me their placement isn’t great. I feel like a scuf controller has better paddle placement and I couldn’t stay on the wolverine for that reason. Obviously this is a preference.

It’s good it works fine and just a well as a brand new controller should, however the promoting of wireless connectivity is my issue because every now and then it’ll freeze up as if it’s dead, while the light will be on; while playing fps games and I’ll just go in a circle for a brief moment and the audio does crack sometimes when using when it does it get to low battery. It’s not often but it’s been about 3-4 times. I’ve had the controller for just about a month now. Another minor problem is that when using the wireless hyperspeed connection, if it’s a remote controller and it has direct usb connection to the Xbox shouldn’t I then be able to turn the Xbox on without having to connect a USB-C cable.

Fast, responsive, and ergonomic. I tried out a few other conteollers (Scuf, TB Stealth Ultra, Victrix BFG) and this is easily the best. Incredibly low latency, well built, clicky buttons, customizable triggers, wired or wireless. This controller has it all!

Quite literally the pinnacle of controller engineering in my opinion. Hit every requirement that I had in mind when getting a new (endgame) controller. I have a friend who would burn through about 1-2 controllers a YEAR before getting stick drift. Not wanting to go down the same path with a bunch of wasted money I got this controller. My must-haves were this: Hall effect joysticks and triggers Wireless (with at least a halfway decent battery life) Compatible with Xbox and PC Length of life justifies cost Other things that were nice to have but not required were... Trigger locks High-ish polling rate but not too high to give my CPU a stroke Haptics I saw that this controller hit every mark but was on the expensive side. After a bunch of looking for other controllers that could have worked but had other trade-offs (wired, long-term reliability issues, low battery life, etc.) I just bit the bullet and got this one. It is all that it was advertised as. It's got a premium sturdy feel to it. Doesn't flex, rattle or squeak and I'm not sure what everyone else means by "feels cheap". All the buttons including the joystick ones are great and never given me an issue. Had to do a firmware update when I first unboxed it but it worked perfectly after and never had to do another one since. I loved how it came with a travel case with slots and nets to hold everything you'll need inside (dongle, cable, controller and other thumbstick caps). I would say just take the leap and get it. I could go on and on about how perfect this thing it but I think you get the point... However two little tiny things that I did want to mention was this: 1) Travel case is not a hard case (rigid) and with the tall thumbstick cap it can push that button in quite easily. Not great long term if in a cramped/squished space (such as in your backpack) but not the end of the world. 2) D-Pad took a little getting used to as it feels a lot different/smoother and more sensitive than an OEM Xbox controller.

It's everything i like in a controller and definitely the best ive had. The feel is just perfect and it goes with my razer setup. The sticks are so smooth and precise and customizable. The tactile feel and precision of the buttons and triggers are the best and satisfying to press everytime. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is bc the back paddles are only able to be reprogrammed to buttons alreadt on the controller and not other keyboard functions. Thankfully steam is still so grear at allowing multiple assignments to single buttons.

Great switch from the Elite 2

I picked up the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro because my Xbox Elite 2 started getting stick drift after about a year or two. I really didn’t want to deal with that again, so I looked at a ton of reviews and narrowed it down to this or a SCUF. Ended up going with the Razer and I’m glad I did. It definitely feels different from the Elite. The buttons have more of a click to them, almost like a mouse switch, especially the paddles on the back. I actually like the placement of the rear paddles a lot, though I get that it might not be for everyone. They’re easier to press than the Elite paddles, which is both good and bad. I had a couple days where I kept hitting them by accident, but once I adjusted how I held the controller, it was totally fine. The software was another thing I was unsure about. I figured a non-Microsoft controller might not play as nicely on Xbox, but the Razer app works really well and the controller is just as configurable as I’m used to. I did have a weird issue at first where the D-pad felt like it was sticking and would just scroll on its own, but after updating the firmware right on the Xbox, it went away completely. Just an initial hiccup, so I’m not taking a star off for that. Overall, it feels great, super responsive, and well built. Obviously, I haven’t had it long enough to know whether stick drift will show up down the road, but for now I’m really happy with the switch.

I’ve purchased pretty much every controller brand you can think of when it comes to Xbox and pc compatibility. I would say that this controller feels the most responsive and the back buttons have the best layout and comfort. The instinct pro and valor pro are ok, but this controller is miles ahead in my opinion. I love the mechanical buttons and mouse click triggers for fps games. I also like that razer didn’t overdue it on rgb lighting and focused solely on comfort and accessibility. I don’t get the thumbstick issues and input lag that people are discussing… it could be thst they didn’t use the app and lower deadzones. I keep my deadzones at 3 percent and they feel extremely responsive in Fortnite, cod, halo, and other shooter games. This controller is a top contender and I main this over all my games or controllers! I highly recommend you buy this controller at Best Buy and always get the extended warranty. No matter what controller you get, they will eventually need to be replaced. The Wolverine v3 pro also has quick access profile changing, which means you don’t have to access the app anymore. The firmware updated recently and now I can switch profiles within game :) lastly, it is 1000hz capable on pc and the case it comes with is high quality material!

Controller is great overall, mechanical buttons feel amazing, the fact that you can switch the triggers from analog to mouse click, build quality is great, ergonomics are fantastic (i prefer to the elite series 2 but may not be the case for you). Basically i love this controller but since i do not own a windows PC and cant easily access one, i was unable to update the firmware. I tried a virtual machine for windows on my macbook but it didnt work (i tried many, many different routes). This controller needs the firmware update in order to function properly and allow you to customize different aspects of the controller, so sadly i had to return it. Definitely wouldve kept it if i could update!

Let me start this off with saying i had the elite 2 controller, the right joystick died on me after a couple years so i wanted something new, didn’t want to back to the standard controller, this has hall effect joysticks which are great, highly recommend, not my first hall effect controller, highly recommended in general, this “hyper speed wireless” has to be joke, I’ve never had wireless controller lag, ever, with any system, I’ve had the tv not in game mode and seen issues, but never the controller to the box, and now i have this usb thumb drive looking dongle sticking out the front, not a fan, ok all that said, i think this is a good controller, cheap feel though, and i think it should price point around $100, this is way overpriced, not that I’m sending it back or anything, I’m not, but if my elite 2 hadn’t crapped out on me I’d recommend that instead.

Razer Wolverine V3 Pro W Xbox Almost Perfect!

Razer Wolverine V3 Pro Wireless Xbox Controller – Almost Perfect! Quick breakdown: Pros: Ergonomic and solid build Razer’s innovative mouse switch tech in paddles, bumpers, and triggers Wireless capability for Xbox Includes a top-notch carry case Hall effect thumbsticks Exceptional 1000 Hz polling rate on PC for amazing performance Cons: Battery life isn’t as good as the standard Xbox controller Sometimes struggles to connect via Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Quite expensive Still requires a USB receiver for use on both Xbox and PC despite being wireless, which is inconvenient The controller feels durable and perfectly designed, with well-placed rear paddles. The extra bumper buttons and mouse switch technology make for rapid responses. On PC, the performance is outstanding, especially with the 1000 Hz mode, though the battery life could be better. Occasionally, it takes a while to connect and doesn’t always turn on the Xbox. I ended up returning it because the requirement for a USB receiver was a significant inconvenience for me. However, this shouldn't deter anyone looking for a high-quality, competitive gaming controller. Overall, it's built to last and stands out as one of the best options available. Highly recommend! I bought this controller after returning the Microsoft Elite Series 2 that developed stick drift. I really wanted to like this controller, but the response time with the Hall Effect sticks seemed much slower compared to the Microsoft controller. I had to turn up my horizontal and vertical sensitivities to compensate. The buttons on the front and back did not have the "click" effect that I was hoping for. It's a very light weight controller due to not having the haptic feedback (which I don't use anyway), but holding it didn't give me a "premium" controller feeling. It's a good controller, but I just didn't care for it. I returned it and went back to the Xbox Elite Series 2.

I tried just about every controller that had 4 back buttons and hall effect sticks that you can buy at Best Buy. My preferred controller is Scuf because I like the position of the 4 rear buttons. Unfortunately I tried this controller for several days and the buttons were just uncomfortable for me. I would say I have larger hands. The controller felt nice and I wanted to like it, but I'm picky regarding the back buttons. The regular buttons on the controller all felt nice and like a mouse click. If this controller had better positioning of the buttons, and they didn't stick out so far, making me unintentionally push them, I may have kept this controller.
