I decided to invest in the Rexing R4-RD Dash Cam after a really frustrating experience. A few months ago, I parked my car at a shopping center, and when I came back, there were scratches and a small dent on the side. No note. No witnesses. Nothing I could take to the police or my insurance company. It was basically my word against no one — and that’s the worst feeling. That’s exactly why I chose this model. The built-in 360° motion parking monitor was the biggest selling point for me. Now when I park, I actually feel at ease. The camera automatically records if there’s motion or impact while the car is off. I don’t need extra add-ons or complicated wiring — it’s already built in. Knowing that it’s watching all sides of my vehicle 24/7 gives me real peace of mind. The 4-channel setup is another reason I’m happy with this purchase. It records front, rear, and both sides — not just the usual two angles. Most accidents and parking lot damage happen on the sides, so having that coverage makes a huge difference. I also like that the side cameras can rotate inward if I ever want cabin monitoring. The infrared lights work surprisingly well at night, keeping the footage clear even in low-light conditions. Video quality is solid across the board with 1080p HD recording on every camera. The Wi-Fi and app support make it really convenient. I can connect through the app on my iPhone and review footage without removing the SD card. The built-in GPS is another feature I appreciate — it tracks speed, route, and location, which could be very helpful if there’s ever a dispute. Overall, this dash cam changed how I feel about leaving my car parked anywhere. Before, I would worry and constantly check for damage when I came back. Now I know if something happens, I’ll have proof. For me, that alone makes the R4-RD completely worth it.

The Rexing R4-RD is filled with new features and options to make it a great Dashcam. It starts with a 4 camera system and radar activated parking lot monitoring that attaches with an easily movable suction cup system that holds the device in place in any weather and road conditions. It also incorporates a separate plug in GPS unit. The GPS unit allows you to play videos with their downloadable software and see where the vehicle was on Google maps in addition to the vehicle speed and camera video. I also liked the simpler ODB port power cable that you can plug in and allows you to set the voltage that it will cut off so you don’t drain your battery too low. With a cable that is easy to disconnect at the camera and the main unit end it simplifies installation of the rear camera. A quick note, unlike most Rexing Dashcams this one did not include an SD card which must be installed to record your files. While the main unit looks big it tucked nicely behind my rear view mirror without blocking any of my view. This is my new recommended GPS system.

I recently installed the Rexing - R4-RD Dash Cam All-Around 1080p, Built-in 360° Motion Parking Monitor, GPS, App Control for Windows, MAC OS and iPhone – Black, and I am blown away by the quality. The 4K front camera provides incredibly sharp footage—I can easily read license plates, even at night or in the rain, thanks to the high 1080p resolution sensor. Installation was surprisingly straightforward, and the app interface is intuitive for downloading clips directly to my phone. The parking mode (paired with a hardwire kit) gives me total peace of mind when parked. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for the best protection on the road.

I'm replacing an older dash cam and so far, the product is working great. My old dash cam was wired directly to the fuse box using both mini-USB connectors to the front and rear cameras. So, it was a little challenge to remove all the old cables that was nicely tucked inside the front driver pillar and roof panel. I ran the new smart hardwire kit and the rear camera cables in place of the old cables. WOW, I couldn't be happier with everything hidden and out of sight. Finally, I was able to mount the suction cup and started to connect everything into the dash cam including the GPS module. I've been using it for a week now and I have to hand it to Rexing for a quality-built dash cam. My biggest thing with this unit is that now I actually have a security camera for my car when I'm away from it. That feature alone is worth my upgrading to this unit. The overall of the video quality was good and was ok when reviewing it on a bigger computer screen.

Extremely versatile camera that catches everything

Let's first get started with the specs. All FOUR cameras are 1080p and result in very good videos with clear images. It charges with a USB-C type connection, and includes an OBD attachment (more on that later) for full integration of the parking monitor, motion detection and all of that. The outside cameras pan AND tilt to help you get the best angle for capturing a nearly 360-degree view around your car and inside (if desired). The suction cup is very strong, but you really need to follow the instructions and prep the glass prior and it must go on a uniform surface (don't place any part of it on the little black dots on the edges of the windshields. The UI is very easy to use with a M-button for Menu and toggles to make your selections. I placed the GPS logger near my camera as it was already within the sky's view, but the GPS logger does come with a longer cord if you need to place it some place further away from your camera. Now, let's get to the install. By far, the easiest install ever with the OBD connector, with one caveat. Please note that the OBD connector is adjustable. If you find that your camera is not turning off when you shut off your car, adjust the voltage on the module from the standard 12V to something higher (I chose 12.4 and it works for me). What this OBD connector does is provide a constant source of power (for parking and motion, when activated) but also doesn't keep the camera ON unless the car is running. When your car is running the Voltage in the system is often above 13V and that triggers the camera to come on. When you turn OFF your car, the Voltage drops, but varies by car. 12.4 worked for me and this means when the voltage is less than 12.4V, the camera shuts off because it knows the camera is off. This camera will take up to a 256GB Class10 microSD and you will get 4 clips per segment of recorded (one for each channel/camera. As the card fills up, it simply overwrites the oldest videos and keeps on going. This is a large camera (obviously, with the 4 channels) so try to find the safest place where it doesn't interfere with your view or your car's safety cameras (if applicable). The results are wonderful, the installation was a snap, the coverage is unbeatable, and the features (e.g. IR Motion Detection) are top notch. I love this camera and its features. Rexing has been my brand of choice for dashcams and their customer service has been wonderful for me as well. Love it.

I've been using this product for two weeks now and it's been working like a champ. My favorite things about this camera is the radar motion sensing. The sensing is reliable and seems to work every single time. My old dashcam which used the camera to sense motion didn't always catch motion around my car. The other thing I like about this product is the multiple cameras. The cameras cover the exterior and interior well. Once nice feature I found that this one had was the ability to flip the rear camera if needed. This was helpful to me because the way I had to install the rear camera, it had to be mounted in reverse so I took advantage of the flip function. I would definently recommend this dashcam to others. Great video quality and great features!

Rexing, great 360° addition to your car

My girlfriend needed a 360° dashcam for her car due to the driving habits and careless/distracted driving of people in Texas. Since I owned an older version of the R4 (before Rexing released the R4-RD), she said she wanted to try a 360° dashcam herself. After using her R4-RD for a week, she has said she is extremely happy with it. Not only does it capture all the views around her car in both day time and night time conditions since it has IR functionality, it has an added module for GPS speed logging and a radar functionality for passive monitoring while parked. As for interface and use, the buttons and interface are very self explanatory. It is easy to swap between each view for a larger view (the default view is all 4 views on one screen, one per quadrant). This specific version of the R4 does have additional functionality over my older R4 (the GPS and monitoring while parked) but as a result, the initial setup has a slight departure from the center console ports for power. This camera uses the OBD2 port located by the driver side, usually by the gas / engine hood levers (the same port used by mechanics when they hook up to your vehicle). This is what allows the camera to operate while the car is off and it appears to have a fail safe that shuts the camera off if the car battery depletes to a certain level, allowing the car battery to recharge on the next drive. It is important to keep in mind that if someone wishes to utilize the full functionality of the camera, such as the rear view or the GPS speed monitoring, it requires a total of 3 wires to be run from the main camera: the wire for the camera placed on the rear window of the car, the OBD2 wire for power, and the wire for the GPS speed logger. This can all be accomplished very easily but some proper care and taking the time to run the wires appropriately will make the finished product look much better, as this should be a "set it up once and leave it alone for the long run" type set up. In future iterations, it would be great if the GPS speed logger could be integrated into the main unit, as that is one less wire to run from the main dashcam and one less thing to place in the car.

I love this Dash Cam. It looks great in my car and it gives me peace of mind having it. I like that it has multiple cameras to capture video from different angles. It's easy to access the captured video using the Rexing Connect App which works on my Android phone and my wife's Iphone. The video is high quality and very clear. I am very happy with my purchase and I would buy it again.

This is the first camera i have bought where there are multiple angles being recorded. This comes in handy especially with children and safety. The amount of relief this cam brings knowing that i have all my bases covered is unmeasurable. I have always been a safe driver however the people on the road are the ones you truly have no control of. Easy to instal, the resolution is unmatched, the instal videos and warrenty are helpful and reassuring. I could jot ask for a better multi cam.

Another great product from Rexing! Easy to install with valuable features like being able to connect power thru the OBD port for extended functions, GPS module included, and 360 coverage. Because it's continually monitoring the battery and will shutdown if voltage goes too low, it is able to record while parked without fear of not being able to start the car. This my 5th Rexing Dashcam because they keep getting better!!!

I’m replacing an older Rexing Dash Cam with this one, and I highly recommend it. The four cameras record in 1080p and produce very clear video. License plates are easy to read, even at night or in rainy conditions. My favorite features is the radar motion sensing. It has been very reliable and, so far, has worked every single time it should. The parking mode gives me real peace of mind when the car is parked. And installation was surprisingly straightforward. One thing needs to care is that the cash cam is a larger unit (understandable with four channels), you’ll want to position it carefully so it doesn’t interfere with your view. After installation, the mobile app is intuitive for downloading clips directly to my phone. Overall, I highly recommend this dash cam for anyone looking for strong, all-around protection on the road.

This is my third Rexing product, and honestly, this one might be my favorite. The R4‑RD really does give you coverage from every angle, so I can see what’s happening in front, behind, and around the car without any blind spots. The 360° motion parking monitor has already caught a few people walking very close to my car, which makes me feel a lot better about leaving it in parking lots or on the street. The video quality is clear and detailed, day and night, and the built‑in GPS is a nice bonus because the speed and location are saved with the clips. The app is actually pretty convenient—I can quickly pull up videos on my phone or computer instead of messing with the memory card every time. Installing it does take some patience, since there are multiple cameras and cables to route, but once it’s in, you really don’t have to mess with it much. Overall, it feels solid, reliable, and exactly what I was hoping for in an all‑around dash cam.

I own an executive protection business and all of my vehicles have dash cams in them. Rexing has always been a top brand but this camera is over the top! With 360° coverage this one doesn't miss a thing and with the new hardwire kit connecting directly to your OBD port installation is easier than ever. You'll have full coverage all the way around your car for vandalism door dings whatever. You might be thinking this camera a little too much for your needs but if you get a cheap one that only goes out the windshield and something happens on the side or back you'll remember you read this and be sorry. LOL Camera already comes with all the top features you want with parking monitor automatic Loop recording GPS etc etc this camera doesn't miss a thing.

I recently picked up the Rexing R4-RD for my wife’s SUV, and it has been a solid addition to our family car. With a vehicle that size, I really wanted something that could monitor other drivers from every angle, and this multi-camera setup definitely delivers on that. The installation was much easier than I expected, especially since it comes with cable management tooling that helps you tuck the wires away for a clean look. I originally wasn't sure if I’d bother with the GPS add-on, but it is so small and easy to mount that I figured I might as well put it in. The biggest improvement over our last dashcam is the wireless connectivity. With my old unit, I had to physically plug it into a computer or pull the SD card just to get a video clip, which was a huge pain. This one lets me download everything wirelessly through the app, which saves a lot of time. One thing I would suggest to anyone buying this is to pick up a high-quality SD card (I got a class 10/UHS-3) with a reasonable amount of storage. I got one that's 256GB, and since it’s recording from four cameras at once, I wanted the extra space to make sure I had enough recording time before it starts overwriting older footage. There are a few minor things that aren't perfect, but I'm fine with them considering the overall performance. The 1080p recording resolution is clear enough for most situations, though I've noticed it struggles a little bit with fine details in very low-light conditions compared to some higher-end models. Also, the app interface feels a bit dated and took me a few tries to really get the hang of, but once you've got it figured out, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Overall, for the price and the 360-degree coverage, it’s a great value for a large family car. Strongly recommended!

The BBY-R4-RD dash cam delivers excellent all-around coverage with clear front, rear, and interior video, day or night. Installation was easy, and the wide-angle lenses capture everything around the vehicle. The built-in radar is a standout — helpful for parking and detecting nearby movement without false alerts. Reliable recording, parking mode, and simple app access make this a solid, worry-free upgrade for safety and security. Highly recommended.
