Lets start with the headset itself. The headset is stiff, the mic is stiff and sits far from the mouth, and the detatchable earphones felt as if they were gonna snap every time i took them off to readjust. The headset being so stiff left little room for the earphones to go around my ears, rather, they just sat on top of my ears which was uncomfortable and cause me to be able to hear a lot of sounds outside of the game. The hardwear is just as lackluster. Im not sure if its due to the mic being so stiff or the mic just being horrible but it barley picks up my voice. No matter what i do the audio just tapers off as i speak, or sometimes doesnt pick up my voice at all. The audio on the headset is pretty low and sounds far away. Im not sure if this is due to the headset sitting on my ears or just the audio but it just doesnt sound that great. The main selling point of this headset was its surround sound at a cheap price and even that was just okay. I didnt feel like it was substantialy different to any other headset i had. Granted i didnt have it for very long but it didnt sound very different. Overall, the headset feels and sounds very cheap. I would not recommend this headset to anyone. If anything you should just go up an extra 10 or 20 dollars and get some rayzer or turtle beach headphones. Even some turtle beach headphones at the same price would be better than this.

He enjoys hours of entertainment with his friends from home while visiting with us. A few weeks after the purchase, I asked him if the headset was working out. We apologize the RIG 300 PRO HC did not work out for you. There is no "known issue" of the mic not working. When plugging in the headset, the console or PC should recognize the headset speaker as the selected audio output and the microphone of the headset as audio input. If it doesn't automatically recognize the headset, you may need to go into your audio settings to select the RIG 300 PRO as your chosen sources for audio output and input. We have some great setup videos that will help with this on the RIG Gaming channel on YouTube.
