Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are eager to address the issue you raised in your review and provide you with a resolution today.
It sounds like the device is not operating as expected. Even with your Chime Pro, your router is still your main source of connection for your Ring device. Ideally, the maximum distance between the router and your device is 20-25 feet with the Chime Pro about halfway between the Ring device and your router. If possible, try moving the router closer to the device. Also, make sure your router is not in a closet or behind furniture, like a sofa, so the router has an unobstructed signal.

It works great to hear a ring inside when people press the ring camera doorbell button because we dont have it hooked up to our home chime system. It is also great because we have it set up to give us a notification when there is movement outside our front door!

I would consistently try and connect to the doorbell via phone apps, and I was getting a message that the connection was not strong enough. I placed this on an outlet closest to my front door to be effective. I haven't had those dropped connection warnings, but the connection does still vary in quality/connection. The Ring doorbell is definitely more reliable with this in addition.

The warranty was expired so i had to replace. The old chime was a little bulky and had antenas but the new one is s bit more sleek and has a convenient night light. Much better design and appears to have improved performance.
