We have this close to the door to provide a signal boost and it is nice to hear a chime when our phones are not around.

Light sensor stays on long period of time, depending of the natural light level coming into the room. Cloudy Days makes the Ring Chime Pro stay on for extended periods of time. Costing addition electrical billing.

This is redundant for me since I have an Orbi Pro Mesh Router. So I returned this and eventually got the regular Ring Chime.

You are correct in that the Ring Chime Pro extends your wifi signal to boost the network for all your Ring Video Doorbells and Cams. Additionally, it allows you to hear notifications anywhere in your home and features a built-in automatic nightlight for added peace of mind. Overall a good product but had to buy two for the floodlight to work properly due to the home being stone.
