Peace of mind

Alerts me whenever someone enters my Livingroom. I have a nosy landlord that is always creeping around when I'm not home. This has definately deterred him from entering when I'm not there since it has been installed.

It has a speaker and I’m able to speak to the animals when we’re not home as well as watching the house.

The tradeoff is the blue light it uses for the motion sensor tech. It's extremely distracting. Can't use it as a camera for the kids room or it'll wake them up, works really well for our dog room though.

But the addition of the extra piece of plastic that notifies you when you cover the lens, and the mounting screws and neck pivot angles are welcome additions to splurge on.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. For optimal performance, it is not recommended to aim your Ring Indoor Cam, 2nd Gen directly at a window. The glass can negatively affect the camera's ability to accurately detect motion. Repositioning the camera to a location that avoids facing a window should provide a better image.
