The Rylo is a sweet little camera and video package, that easily fits into your palm, that is marketed with its own selfie stick. The selfie stick enables you to utilize your Rylo with the Everyday Case (included) without getting your fingers into your shots/videos. It comes with a 16 GIG Micro SD card which is expandable. The Rylo is simple to use as the unit comes with two buttons and is very simple to use. One turns on the camera and starts and stops recording, the other switches between still and video modes. The camera has a solid feel, part of which is due to its solid aluminum frame construction. It should be mentioned that you can not view your videos or camera pictures until such time that you connect your device to your phone. Also, there is no view-finder on the Rylo. I found that using the Rylo in outdoor environments produced the best results. Camera use in low light conditions did not produce what I call quality results. For those consumers that understand backlit photos, the Rylo underexposes your subject matter when the background light is brighter than your subject. The lenses protrude outwards on both sides or the camera, and I found it cumbersome to utilize the Rylo without touching the lenses. I happen to be a camera fanatic, and one of my pet peeves is not touching my lenses. Positioning the Rylo in a way as to not touch the lenses was difficult to do unless you utilize the Everyday Case. A waterproof case is not included with the Rylo. I would have liked to see this as part of the standard package. A quick word concerning image stabilization. GREAT. Image stabilization is great when especially for those consumers who are going to do any videos while bike riding, skateboarding, walking or just plain being active. It is also super good for those consumers who tend to have shaky hands. The Rylo is a fun little camera/video machine. It's lots of fun to use, and will not weight you down, as the camera is so very light. The Rylo is on my recommended list. Have fun.

This camera is just awesome. The case I bought for it the glass on the outside got scratched too easily do becareful. The official rylo case that costs like 60-70 bucks. It brings a replacement which is just great but they should've made it stronger.

I bought the camera to record soccer games and need it to last for 45 minutes at a time. Twice now it has shut off after 10 minutes because the battery overheated. One of those days was barely 80 degrees outside and the other hadn't even reached 70 degrees yet. I live in Sacramento where summer temps reach 100+ and games are still played. This camera is useless to me if I can't record a full half of soccer without the camera turning off.

Decent for the price but too many issues to keep. It would shut off under water and the image stitching wasn’t that great. Returned it instead of trying a replacement because the company was acquired and this is the original model.

I haven't used any other 360 type camera before and I found this one slightly cumbersome to use via the RYLO app. I am considered an electronics junkie/guru by my peers and I felt this was just too quirky. I didn't feel that tech support was going to be solid for the life of this unit so I returned it.

    Actual 360 camera!

Let me begin by saying this is the first action type camera I have ever owned. That being said, it’s very impressive and can do a lot of cool things. Is believe for the $499.99 price point you are really getting a lot for your money. To give this a fair review, I wanted to really try things out and see what it could do. This involved buying the optional mount to and attaching it to my Triumph for a ride. First, and most important this is a true 360 degree camera that really works. It’s like having back to back fish eye lenses. But in addition to that, they are almost seamless when you are reviewing the videos. Specifically, when you watch or edit the video, you do so on your phone. When you do that, you can watch anything the cameras were watching when they were recording, at any degree. You can also have the camera follow something specific in your video. For example, you are walking you dog and as you are doing it you begin recording the world around you. You can hold the camera out in front of you and your main area of focus could be directly in front of you. But since the lense see so much around it, the dog walking below is in the image ever so slightly. After doing the five minute video you hook it up to your phone and edit the video using the official app. You can then move the focus of the camera onto the dog walking and select the “follow” option. As you then play the video it will literally follow the dog throughout the video playing. This is again just an example, but it’s literally that easy. Image stabilization is another cool feature I really liked. As you are watching you video, and you see it looks a little bouncy, you can adjust the image stabilization and it will get rid of the bounce. It’s pretty awesome and very easy to do. It is a really awesome feature, and works well. The Rylo 360 has a very simple interface. Basically, it lets you take pictures, 180 videos, or 360 videos. There are basically two buttons on the device to get you through your options. One to the side of the screen to toggle between the modes, and then there is the start and stop button on top. Easy as it gets. As I mentioned before, it hooks to your phone to do the edits and downloads of the videos. The videos can be stored on your phone and your an delete them from the Rylo right from the app while the device is connected to your phone. So this is a truly mobile device and you can edit on the go right from your phone. The handle the comes with it is handy, and holds the device well. I am not sure how it would fair if you dropped it, but it holds the device very secure and well. What I ended up doing is getting the mount (sold separately) and mounted it to my motorcycle. The mount is $69.99 and well worth it. It’s waterproof, although I have not put that to the test. You can make some awesome videos with it, anything you can dream up. And you are able to do it in 360 degrees. In short, I recommend this to anyone that wants to shoot videos effectively in 360 degrees. It works well, is simple to use and creates great memories.

Great action camera. 360 is unbelievable. The editing software is very intuitive and easy to use for editing footage on iPhone. I needed to purchase and extra memory card but they are very cheap now.

Overall, I would have to say that the RYLO is a marginally successful first attempt, that is just not quite ready for prime time. It is very cumbersome to use, and has to many negative issues. I had very high hopes for this camera, but ultimately, I think after a bit more testing, just to be sure I'm not being overly picky, I will be returning it.
