When a microwave isn't starting or heating, the most common reason is that it is in Demo mode. This mode is used on retail showroom floors to show off microwaves without activating their magnetron. We recommend checking the link below for more information.

The first lasted 14 months before the Magnetron failed. My repair guy said it wasnt worth fixing so 2 months our of warranty i am replacing it. Not sure I wanted to go with Samsungagain but it was the easiest way to go since its an over the stove model and the bracket was reuseable. So fingers crossed it was a abnormality. Otherwise the unit is very nice.

The second one came and looks fantastic. The problem is that the black stainless scratches very easily. My wedding ring touched the door when I close it and it made a scratch on the door on the second use. Very sensitive.
