This refrigerator has been nothing but problems. Ice maker freezes up and Geek Squad had attempted to fix 3 times unsuccessfully. Samsung is aware of design flaw but offers no operable solution. Have to defrost it every 6 weeks now to prevent freezing up of icemaker and resulting water pool in the floor. They know TV's but I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance.

Worst appliance we’ve ever purchased. The ice maker failed right away and we could not get Samsung to replace it. They probably knew it was faulty design. Soon after the water filter leaked into the middle drawer. We had to disconnect the water. So now I have a portable ice maker that i use to make ice and we bought a Brita water system for drinking water.

This fridge has been a pain since we purchased it. Luckily we also purchased the Geek Squad protection; but even that has only patched the issue rather than ever solve it. The ice maker design is the problem and the geek squad protection only recognizes that as an accessory. Either way, the ice maker has been replaced numerous times and to this day we still have slush, not ice. Avoid Samsung.

Very frustrating purchase! My family was without a fridge for 6 weeks before I bought this than had to wait another month for this unit that has been broken since day 1. Purchased extended geek squad protection plan and I have spoke with numerous associates and I am still unclear of the parameters? Making payments on a broken fridge that I cant get a straight answer on purchased protection plan if someone could reach out to me and provide clarity that would be amazing!!

Died after 4 years! The refrigerator iced over the coils constantly. We would have to pull it apart, blow dry the ice off the coils behind the wall that we would screw off for it to work properly. It would make a loud noise like the motor was straining. Today it just died! I’m so upset. Never Samsung for a fridge, make good TVs though!

We really like this refrigerator. We purchased it about 6 months ago. Our old one died and I had always wanted this particular version (french door and pull-out drawer) and we needed a counter depth. I was worried about space and organization but this refrigerator is very spacious for being counter depth. And the layout is wonderful, everything fits great. There are reviews of it being noisy, and ours is slightly louder than previous refrigerators but nothing that disturbs me enough to complain about it. We do hear the ice falling in the ice maker though and I hate having to replace the water filter every 6 months, which can be quite pricey. I ended up searching the internet for the replacement filter and found better pricing when you buy 2 replacement filters at once. And, I found them cheaper at "W" online. These are the reasons I deducted 1 star. Otherwise, it's been a great refrigerator.

Cannot remove the stains. Really sorry I did not buy a painted one.

This refrigerator is getting the lowest score due to it's defective ice maker. There's a reason to buy a product from a manufacturer that stands behind it's products, especially when it's due to their defective design.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator five and a half months ago and have had nothing but problems with it.

Have fun waiting an hour to talk to someone to schedule repair.

Love layout, hate the noisy operation and dripping!

This refrigerator is excellent! The only complaint I have is that the ice dispenser is very slow, not the maker, just the dispenser. I absolutely love everything else about it. I really contemplated getting the refrigerator drawer feature, and I'm so glad that I did. My 2 yr old son can open it and get his yogurt out all by himself in the morning. I keep cheese sticks in there for the kids as well. I find that I waste a lot less food having the french door feature. I save the middle shelf for leftovers, so when I open the doors I can see at eye level if there is any food I should eat first. I always have room for everything I buy, and it stays perfectly organized; I don't ever feel like I'm "stuffing" things in the fridge.

The fridge is very pretty and functional. We were quite happy with it. After only 18 months, we noticed the indicated temperature seemed wrong. Then the main fain fan started grinding. Finally, after two weeks, it stopped cooling altogether. Called Samsung and found out the warranty was expired and they referred us to their contractor, A&E, who was HORRIBLE. They stood us up twice without notice (every time someone had to take time off from work to meet them). The two times they actually came, they came more than 4 hours late. The guy said the main PC board was broken and need to be replaced for about $300. (I had a hard time believing this). He said these Samsung fridges "break all the time after just a year or so". Turned out it wasn't the board (but we still had to pay for it), but a sensor which was then replaced. When I said the fan made a lot of noise and should be replaced, they said that those fans "never break". In summary, after weeks of no fridge, and hundreds of dollars later, we now have a very noisy fridge that I certainly have no confidence in anymore. For this kind of money. I expect more!

After 15 years we finally decided to replace our old refrigerator. After walking through the best buy store we feel in love with the design of this samsung refrigerator. Ours is an older model but looks exactly like the one shown. The design was gorgeous, the compartments were fantastic and it was a samsung. We knew the brand was reliable for things like phones and TVs and we were a little skeptical buy we went with it and we are not ones to buy warranty we always thought it was a waste of money but something told me let's just get it since we weren't familiar with Samsung in the appliance arena. A couple days later after we got our beautiful fridge I was showing a friend and she looked at me like oh boy. She said she bought the same one a year prior and it was already giving her problems and she regretted not buying the warranty. After my stomach dropped for a second I felt a sense of relief cause we bought the warranty. This fridge is quite a bit of work. You need the extensive filter every other month it seems like and about 8 months ago All of a sudden it went caput. The ice machine was acting slowly and water tasted different. New filter? Maybe ok let's change it again. But over time we noticed the ice doesn't work as well as it use too, the water started tasting different and the temperature in the fridge started to change. We thought we were crazy but in the last two months it went totally downhill. No ice. Barely water but im not drinking it and the fridge isn't cold anymore. We decided to empty the whole fridge from top to bottom and disconnect it maybe a reboot if you will would help. Nope. Same performance. Finally I called our warranty and they came out 2 days later. He technician stated we needed new parts for the ice maker and the something about the fridge not knowing it's cold I cant remember. Why i cant remember because this was 3 weeks ago!!!! Parts are on back order till the 25th of this month and we are forced to be without a workin fridge. I'm pregnant with a 5 year old. Never again will we ever buy samsung for appliances. I'm sticking to phones and TVs. My recommendation. Do not buy. Stick to the old reliables.

I love my new refrigerator. We have had it for 6 months and I have nothing to complain about. It is easy to keep clean. I do use a stainless steel polish and use only a microfiber cloth which makes it shine! The extra drawer is used in our home for butter, cheese snacks, juice boxes for the grandchildren. I have absolutely no complaints about the refrigerator except that our ice maker seems to grind the ice cubes, and dispenses some shaved ice. No big deal...I do not have noise issues with the refrigerator. We can hear the ice fall, but I had that with our side by side also. I love the look, the way it fits, and we get compliments on it all the time. I would highly recommend it.

This refrigerator although very nice and elegant is the noisiest running refrigerator we have ever owed. We hear the motor/compressor running from our Master bedroom and in an open plan living space this refrigerator will make you reach for the TV remote to drowned out the noise. According to Samsung technicians the two stage motor is the reason it is loud and although Best Buy are aware of these customer issues (they informed us after we returned to the store that the noise complaints are frequent on Samsung refridgerators) they did not declare this information during our store visit and the purchasing process. Best Buy's stance is that if we had purchased an extended warranty they would have exchanged it, so the moral of this story is spend more money on extended warranties to increase Best Buy's profits and to cover yourself for the stores inadequate product knowledge and declarations.

I am so disappointed in this fridge. Was installed 8 weeks ago and has been nothing but noisy!. Best buy has come out once to evaluate and was a temporary fix. Samsung customer service for this appliance is no help. When It was delivered the best buy delivery crew left it in the rain as they were installing our w/d and other fridge. The other fridge in our basement sounds like a mouse compared to this fridge and is $2,000 cheaper. This unit looks great, but we encountered a few quality issues. The design, stainless finish and interior are stunning. However, the constant compressor 'growl' was too much to live with. The ice maker would also make so much noise when dropping ice into the chute -- it sounded like the ice was being dropped from 30 feet high! The water dispenser was off center, too, so if you didn't hold the glass just right, you ended up with water everywhere. This was a beautiful unit with an intelligent design. Too bad it was hampered by quality issues and very loud compressor.
