I am very pleased with this dishwasher , my kitchen is attached to the family room , so having a quiet unit is of utmost importance to me. Dishes come nice and clean , and you abosutely can not even hear it running. It's easy to use & even let's you know when the dishes are done. I highly recommend it.

This dishwasher is fairly quiet and has the buttons and heating vent on the front of the door, as opposed to the top. (From other reviews and searches, apparently having the buttons at the top of the door is not good, as the steam from the heat vent ends up warping and damaging the buttons pretty quickly.) I like the stainless steel interior, which I'm hoping repels mold/mildew and stinky smells. Only gripe is that it does not tell you the actual amount of minutes left in the process, but it does show which phase you are in.

Our Bosch dishwasher of 12 years died a couple of months ago. I really like the brand but only a handful of repairmen service Bosch and the parts are hard to come by. So I did an EXTENSIVE research of dishwasher brands and reviews. I originally decided to go with Kitchenaid because they get such great reviews. They are more expensive but everyone says they make the best dishwasher, along side Bosch.....but I didn't want to deal with the repairman/parts issue. I considered the Maytag but the one in our price range got pretty bad reviews. Both of these brands are made in the USA which is important to us too. After plowing through more reviews than probably necessary I came to a conclusion. Most of the dishwashers in the $400-$800 have very similar complaints and number of stars so why spend an extra few hundred dollars when the reviews are so similar. We ordered this Sumsung dishwash because it was the lowest priced with the most stars. We got it on sale for @$429. Free delivery, we installed. Here's the clincher....we bought the extended 5 year parts and labor warranty for an extra $70. I am very comfortable with this added insurance. Now, about the dishwasher itself. It works great. It looks sleek and modern to go with our kitchen remodel. It is nice and quiet. And let this be on the record.....I have know idea why people dishes are not coming out dry! This was my biggest concern. My dishes have consistently been come out dry. If a cup is a little concave on the bottom then there might be a little water there, but boo hoo. That's a first world problem. If you use the sanitize mode they will come out very dry. I experimented, skeptically, with the regular modes and the dishes all come out dry so I'm not sure why others are having this problem. One thing to point out....we keep our water heater set at a very high temp. People with kids might not want to do this because of scalding issues, but we like to take a lot of bathes so we set it high to accommodate that need. Maybe this makes the water in the dishwasher super hot and precipitates the drying process. No pun intended. So far, so good. And we have our 5 year warranty just in case.

Intermittent Leak . Tub has a split in the seam. No Worries, Tub has a "lifetime" warranty. Samsung required an inspection by their tech @ $95 (unless covered by warranty). Tech confirmed, and told Samsung on phone that the Tub was bad. Samsung refuses to believe their own tech and requiring a "2nd opinion (another tech ) which they expect me to pay for -- @ $115 (in addition to the $95 already charged!)

We are happy with our purchase of the Samsung Stainless Steel Dishwasher. We were forced to replace a 15 year + Whirlpool Dishwasher after it developed a leak in the bottom part of the housing. The new Samsung cleans well, probably better than the Whirlpool. It doesn't dry as completely and the entire wash cycle takes longer than the Whirlpool. However, it is quieter and looks nicer. Net, we are happy with our choice. We always use the sanitize feature. This gets the dishes pretty dry. Only the tops of cups and a few glasses need the dab of a towel when the cycle is complete. I think the complete wash cycle and sanitizing drying may take close to 2 hours. (I haven't timed it but it is pretty long). If you need a faster dishwasher you may want to look at some alternates. The wash cycle is rarely an issue for us but there have been once or twice where we were wanting a faster turn around. Now, we just plan better so we don't need a fast turn around. FYI, I did install this dishwasher myself. It went pretty well except for the connection of the water line. My previous dishwasher had used copper tubing for the supply. After spending about an hour trying to get the copper tubing bent to the right position for this dishwasher, I gave up and went and bought a stainless steel braided plastic hose. Then I was able to complete the installation in about 5 minutes. I recommend that if you have copper tubing, replace it with the SS braided tubing available at hardware stores for this very application.

I had been researching dishwashers for a few months to replace my aging GE dishwasher. Everyone says Bosch is the gold standard in dishwashers, and I was about ready to pull the trigger on a Bosch ,but when I first came across this unit at the store, the price along with the "hard food disposer" option caught my attention. I've cleaned the filter on my old dishwasher several times, and it's truly gag-worthy. Anything that gets me out of having to manually clean a filter is an automatic bonus! Also, the Bosch units in this price range have a non-metallic (i.e. plastic) bottom tub. The Samsung is all stainless inside! I read some promising reviews on Best Buy, so I decided to give it a try. I've had this unit for 3 weeks and I'm glad I did! I got it on sale and had free delivery. I'm pretty handy, so I installed it myself. The good: Super quiet, cleans well, full stainless interior, adjustable racks and removable tines, fan-assisted dry, no nasty filters to clean, two silverware baskets (flexibility!) The not-so-good: Installation is a bit of a pain because of the channels on the bottom of the unit to route the water and power lines (make sure you buy a longer supply line than you think you need - at least 5, plus you'll need a 90 deg. elbow), doesn't really dry plastic well (but neither did my GE with heated dry), some tines are on the short side so top-heavy items may fall over, no time-delay setting (not a deal-breaker for me, but sometimes that's convenient), really long wash times compared to what I was used to (I think all the new ones are in the 2-hour range anyway). The Bottom Line: You can easily spend more than double the price of this unit and get some extra bells and whistles, but it's quiet, cleans dishes well, and looks pretty good. The full stainless interior plus the hard food disposer put the Samsung over the top at this price range.

We remodeled our kitchen and we had bought a Samsung refrigerator a few years ago and loved the product so when my dishwasher died, I knew what brand I wanted. My husband was looking at other brands but came back to this one because the interior is stainless steel. I like it because there's no filter you have to clean food debris out of. We have a family of 5 so we have plenty of dishes to wash but this dishwasher fits everything. We run it every other day because there's so much room but if we bought more cups, we could last longer. It's a really great product at a really great price.

I have had several other brand dishwashers in the past. Some not so quiet and some very quiet but didn't get the dishes clean. This Samsung dishwasher is extremely quiet and gets the dishes clean. The upper rack is adjustable which is great and the silverware baskets are large enough to hold all my utensils from several meals. Large capacity, quiet, and gets dishes clean - what a deal. Great job Samsung!

I replaced my 8 year old dishwasher that I had because I really wanted a new dishwasher that. I love the Samsung brand so I'm a bit bias but for the price id say it is the best dishwasher with a stainless steel tub. My wife and I have kids so we preferred the black finish as cleaning stainless steel can be a pain after awhile. Also to install myself was real simple and I like the base of washer because it has guided slots for your water and power cable. All in all its really quite and does what it needs to for a dishwasher!

We needed a quick fix for a dishwasher that died right before the holidays. This one was perfect. Good price, nice space that fits a lot of dishes. It's a little louder and the cycles are a little longer than I would want ideally. But, for the price this is a great deal. I've only used the normal cycle, but have heard the other cycles may be good and faster.

This dishwasher is so quiet that I don't know it's on unless I see the lights! It cleans beautifully. Capacity is almost twice as much as the one it replaced. The only downside is that it requires a rinse agent or the drying cycle is longer. Also don't forget to order installation in this as it's not free & the regular delivery guys don't install dishwashers.

I bought this dishwasher as part of a kitchen package at Best Buy...These appliances were replacing white ones I had that were in perfect working condition, we just wanted stainless steel instead. First let me say that I was hesitant at buying this package because of the dishwasher...I had just replaced our dishwasher with an expensive dishwasher that was supposed to be quiet, so for me I was worried that it wouldnt be as quiet due to the price, but I didnt want to pay the upgraded package price. Well, I thought the expensive one was quiet but this one blows it away in how quiet it is...you seriously cannot hear it running at all. I installed it myself so I noticed it has much better sound insulation, plus it has rubber gaskets along the top and bottom to help seal out noise. It cleans my dishes very well (I always use Jet Dry), and they come out pretty dry (few dishwashers completely dry all dishes. I find the best practice is to start the dishwasher before I go to bed so it has lots of time for the drying cycle.

To start off, installing this dish washer was easier than the last units I've had. The water connection hose and electrical connections runs to the front with easy access by removing the kick plate. It was also nice to have rear leveling adjustment access in the front as well. It's much quieter than my last one. I've heard that the stainless interior helps that in some way. The controls are easy to use and located in front but are not visually intrusive. So far so good.

I am a big Samsung appliance fan, all my appliances in my kitchen are Samsung and this was my last addition. I love the stainless steel on the inside and what I love most is - it is soooooo quiet when running. I have a very open floor plan in my home and the living room is right by the kitchen and when this runs you barely hear it. You don't even have to turn up the tv. It also cleans better than my previous dishwasher which happened to be a Whirlpool.

This review is more to make you aware of a difference in what is pictured and what was received and then the extremely poor customer service provided by Samsung. I purchased DW80J3020US (stainless steel.) This dishwasher seemed inline with all of the other dishwashers I looked at BUT what made me choose this one is that the picture shows a stainless/silver-ish kick plate. This was important for me as my kitchen has no black in it. The picture CLEARLY shows a stainless kick plate. When the unit was received it came with a black kick plate. I contacted Samsung to find out if the unit no longer was supplied with stainless or if a mistake had occurred...or...what? The CSR told me that Samsung dishwashers do not come with ANY kick plate, that it is purchased as an accessory. I tried to convince the CSR that mine did in fact come with one, that it was black (not stainless as pictured) and that I was holding it in my hand. She said that she wasn't able to do anything because Samsung dishwashers do not come with a kick plate. At this point I kindly asked for a manager. The manager told me he would send one at no charge. I only need to fax in a copy of the receipt. It may take a couple of weeks but one was on the way. I did as requested and patiently waited... Still nothing after a month. I contacted Samsung support requesting a status update. I was told they never received the required information. That they tried to call but received no answer so closed the ticket. If I need more help to go back to the support site and reply. Sadly the above is not true. I have the fax confirmation and my phone is the only one I carry; so I find that hard to believe. I went back to the site, filled out all of the info again and supplied the requested info. It has been another 2 weeks with no response. The sad thing is that It's not even a $30 part. The amount of my time that has been wasted and the fact that they have paid at least 3 people to correspond with me well out weighs the cost of the part. So long story made way too long; if you want stainless with a black kick plate, this is the one for you. If you want what is pictured...well...good luck.
