||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed.Very nice canopy hood. I hated that the extension for the top was almost as much as the whole canopy hood. Especially since it is just a sheet of metal. If you have a regular height ceiling, maybe you don't need extension? My ceiling is 12'

||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I was told by Best Buy that this unit could be vented inside. I called Samsung and was told Yes by one associate and NO by another. I wound up returning it to Best Buy unopened. However was charge a restocking fee from Best Buy of over $100. No one could confirm if the unit could or could not be vented inside. It is still an unanswered question. I wound up purchasing a USA made 36 inch wall mounted range hood that comes with explicit directions to vent inside. They also pick up the phone when you call to ask questions......are you listening Best Buy?

This canopy hood is factory set for venting through the roof or wall but this can recirculate as well. Don't worry will surely notate your experience about this matter for a better service in the future.

||Posted .The hood itself works as it is suppose to. However, I have had to exchange this hood four times so far because each one comes defective in some sort of way... either dented or scratched, or it comes with completely no hardware to attach it! Then it takes another week to have a replacement sent. So far, a third party installer has been to my house 7 times to install this hood. They have scratched my walls and taken chunks of drywall out in order to install it, when they clearly had no idea how to do it. I would completely return the thing if I wouldn't have bought the entire samsung black stainless steel line of appliances so they all match.
