I purchased this TV to replace an 8 year old 32 inch 1080p LCD 60 Hz HD TV. This one is 40 inch 4K LED 120 Hz with HDR. I bought an open box model on Cyber Monday. My goal was to get a TV that was better than what I already had. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models, but for the price I paid, I am not disappointed. Far from it. I use this with my PS4, and HDR supported games like Uncharted 4, Resident Evil 7, and Final Fantasy 15 all look amazing. Plus, this TV still has the composite and component inputs for older game systems, like Wii, Gamecube, Saturn, Dreamcast, etc. I only have three minor gripes: 1) Of the 3 HDMI ports, only 1 supports HDR. So my PS4 is currently the only device that can take advantage of HDR. This may not seem like a big deal, but it could be problematic as more games and consoles get HDR support. If you have PS4 Pro and Xbox One S, you'll have to keep switching wires. 2) The auto motion plus setting can improve frame rates on games that are normally capped at 30 fps, but it varies between games, and comes at a cost: input lag. It makes it extremely difficult to aim in any shooting game. So Forza Horizon 3 really benefits from it, but Titanfall 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider don't. Rock Band 4 is practically unplayable. Street Fighter 5 doesn't seem to be affected, though it already runs at 60 fps. 3) This leads to my third issue, which is that there is a Game Mode that can eliminate input lag by disabling various features and possibly decreasing visual fidelity. One of those features is digital clean view (noise reduction). Some games end up looking very grainy and pixelated with this disabled. So to get the best possible performance in games, be prepared to take a hit to the graphics. Why not just turn off auto motion plus? It is possible to put the TV in HDR+ Mode or in none of the special modes, then disable auto motion plus, but this still doesn't remove all of the input lag in certain games. Other than those minor issues that probably won't matter to a person who isn't OCD, this is a great TV.

Great picture, lots of options to change picture, upgrade able firmware. lots of connection options, all the bells and whistles you'd expect to find on a 4k , I use it as a monitor for my computer as well

I bought this tv as a replacement for my old 32" Samsung that I used for gaming. My principal consideration was the screen size, because I needed it for my bedroom, and I thought that it would really affect the picture quality. When I finally used it, I was impressed by the relatively low motion blur, and the great definition. The only minor defect I found was an small input lag for fast paced, and first person shooter games, but is nothing that could affect performance or feeling of the game.

I've had this tv a week and am pretty happy with it. The picture is really clear- almost too clear! I've been playing around with settings... I like to change it up depending on the age of the show/movie (if that makes any sense). The sounds is great and also has many settings. The smart part was a must for me. I only use Netflix and YouTube and it's been perfect. I love how thin and lightweight this is. I got a really good deal and am extremely happy with it.

Very nice picture quality. Nice sound. Have owned for over 2 years now with no problems, no picture issues, no sound issues. I primarily use my Apple 4K unit and all movies and shows come in crystal clear. It’s used in the corner of my bedroom, hung up on the wall and it’s plenty big for my eyeballs. Samsung doesn’t disappoint on tv’s.

I purchased this TV when it was on sale less than 2 weeks ago. I was looking to upgrade my older and smaller flat screen TV that I had in my bedroom. Had been looking at many different options, all of them were 1080p and around $300 or more. I came across this Samsung TV when it was advertised for $300 for a 4K Ultra HDTV, immediately I thought that this was a mistake and it wasn't 4K because it was half off the listed price in the Best Buy Ad. This is my first 4K TV. I really like Samsung products but this was my 1st Samsung TV. I loved how simple it was to set up, all the different smart apps that are built into the TV are great. The remote is awesome, it is very simplified to use. It fits perfectly on top of my chest of drawers measuring exactly 36 inches wide. 3 HDMI inputs are great as I have a PS3 and an Amazon Firestick connected to it. The sound the speakers put out is great, since it is in my bedroom I never have to put it up over 10. My only complaint is that the blacks are washed out at times, but this isn't my main TV so that isn't a huge concern for me. I would totally recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a new TV for their bedroom or kids room.

I have no complaints with this tv. Good picture, decent sound, nice features and great price. If you are an average watcher and want something for casual viewing I highly recommend this set.

This is the first UHD 4K Smart TV I purchased and I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of the picture and clear sound. With the volume set at less than 30/100 the sound fills a 20ft by 30ft room. Remote is sleek and easy to use. The stand is sturdy and also sleek, well made! Setup only took a few minutes, connected to my wifi without any issues and started streaming movies in seconds! I would highly recommend this to all looking for a top notch ultra high def tv experience!

I was in the market for a HD 40" LED and I found this 4k jewel under $300 right before black friday. It was a no brainer: smart TV, 4K, all bells and whistles! This is our 4th Samsung TV and the quality of the image is better than the other ones, even the other 4Ks. This is a perfect addition to our house, plus it is future proofed. The color is a flat grey, very stylish and the screen has low glare. Something I did notice was the "new" remote control, which is kind of a copy of an old iPod click wheel... Samsung can´t just master one remote control, each time is different and needs some time adjusting. The Smart TV UI is better than before, we like the fact that you can start the favorite/recent TV shows from Netflix right from the main menu, without going over multiple clicks. The smart TV seems slow to load, but it might be the room where it is. Speakers are OK, nothing better or worst than the other models. Enough HD ports for most of the needs. I would definitely recommend it.

This tv exceeded my expectations, on so many levels. The first impression as soon as I took it out of the box, was that it looked so elegant, perfect for the the minimalist feel that I am always looking for anytime I buy something for my place. And it's also very light, which made it super easy for me to handle it by myself. The setup was a breeze, even if I am totally clumsy and have zero talent when it comes to technology. The quality of the picture is incredible; I also watched a few nature documentaries and was blown away. I don't have cable, but with the connectivity provided by this tv I don't miss it at all. I mainly use Netflix, but I also have an amazon fire stick and an amazon subscription, and all these media have proven excellent. The connectivity is impeccable, never had an issue. I ended up mounting the tv on the wall, and this made it even more perfect. What else can I say? Definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made. Thumbs up!

This is my first 4K television and it's excellent the picture is clear crisp and the controls are easy to use, everything about this television is great. I will not buy another TV unless it is 4k after my positive experience with this TV. Best deal I ever got for $299!

On sale for $299 I couldn't find a better TV for the price. This TV has an excellent picture (even with a standard definition input) and louder speakers than most TV's. Assembly was easy although the instructions could have been clearer. This TV comes with a smart remote although frankly I prefer the standard remote that came with my 2 year old Samsung Smart TV which I find to be quicker using the buttons rather than the on screen menu used by the Smart remote. Based on my experience, Samsung networking operation continues to be a bit of a weak point. With this unit, if it can't connect to a network, there is no message indicating what is wrong. The screen just goes dark for what seems like forever. With my 2014 Samsung, it just stopped connecting to the network. It turns out that the DNS address in the TV was no longer valid so I had to manually change the DNS server address and then everything was fine.

I got this tv on sale in November as a pre holiday deal. For a 40 inch smart tv the $300 was incredibly cheap! I was never a big believer in HD and things like that but with this tv I definitely see the difference. I also thought streaming from my iPad or phone was fine and I didn't need the smart feature but again I am very happy I got it. I really like this tv. When I upgrade to a bigger size in the future I plan on getting similar specs because I love it.

Totally satisfied. The picture is extremely clear, color is vibrant.

This television has everything you need ... it's a smart tv and has a crystal clear picture since it's 4K. I own a 60 inch Samsung as well that's 4K and spent a lot more. This tvnis a great value and works great in the office.

My old Samsung finally bit the bullet and my daughter told me about the smart 4K tv. I could believe the picture quality and the ease of setting it up! The price was so good I ended up buying another one to put it my den!

Purchased for use as a wall-mounted PC monitor ... and it works superbly as such. The TV weighs only about 15 lbs w/o the stand and is easily mounted on a wall with an inexpensive mount. I sit approximately 3 feet from the display and the TV has changed the way I experience and use my PC. The colors are so very vivid and the clarity of graphics and text is very good. Paid $300 w/free shipping and it was worth every penny. My only advice is to NOT have a TV shipped! My TV came via Fedex. The deliveryman was kind enough to wait for me at the door to point out the holes and damage done to the box in transit and to note it in his records. Luckily, no damage was done to the TV. If you can ... pick up in-store.
