This TV, a 43 inch, replaced a decent bedroom Samsung LCD TV which died on me, and I’m absolutely thrilled. I downloaded the SmartThings app before picking up the TV (and kudos to Best Buy for same day pickup, 12 month interest free financing and cheerful prompt pickup staff). It took about 10 minutes flat to set up the TV, including attaching it's simple legs. Everything works perfectly -- the apps, the Xfinity box and remote, my PS3, my now unnecessary Apple TV, and my Bose Bluetooth headphones. The picture is stunning and the sound is surprisingly good. It's gorgeous through my headphones. I had a sound bar ready to order but I don't think it's needed though I would recommend one for a bigger room. I love the ambient mode, which is like having a big piece of art instead of a blank TV in my room. Alexa app links up pretty readily with TV via SmartThings app, though I'm not sure my Echo can do any more than turn TV on and off. The TVs own Bixby assistant seems pretty useless, but I don't care about that feature. Overall just a great TV, for watching TV, gaming, listening via headphones and having a nice piece of art on display on the screen.

This tv is the best picture of any Samsung that I have ever watched. It was very easy to set up. As a smart tv I was able to hook it up wirelessly to the internet. I love the remote which is verbally activated. I was able to add the applications with little difficulties. The best tv I have ever owned!

I love the picture and color this QLED tv has. you get the full benefits of QLED technology when you watch movies filmed in 4k. it uses a 4k up-scaler to improve color and pictures of movies filmed in FULL HD only. this tv has many setting you can custom set to your liking. i plan on buying a bigger 55" or 65" screen now that i know the difference between QLED and regular 4k tv.

I bought this about six weeks ago and replaced my old tube type 32 TV. I decided to go with the Samsung based on reviews even though a little pricy for a 43" TV but had to fit the opening in our entertainment unit. It has a great picture, clear, good color and sound quality. The remote is thin and only has a few buttons so not to confusing. Smart setup just took minutes and worked. It had a update waiting for the processor so I applied that(easy). We have a Cable Box and DVD player hooked to it and all work fine. My audio unit also hooked to it. Not very heavy and all hookups on back right vertical strip.

I wanted a smaller 4k TV with AppleTV built in to put on a mobile TV stand in my office while stuck working from home during COVID-19.
I like that I can extend my MacBook Pro to this display using AirPlay for a separate monitor when I am on WebEx or other Web meetings. Response time is much faster than my 50" LG Plasma hooked up to an AppleTV. I also use the built in AppleTV and Apple Music app and to access my Movies, TV shows and Apple Music subscription.

Ideal size for a small room. Friendly weight to mount on a TV stand as well. Like the picture mode on dynamic, which also comes in: standard, natural and movie. Volume is great for the room, so haven't installed speakers so far.

Bright Spot Bothers Me

This TV has a decent picture and sound. It has a good allotment of apps to choose from. However, the sound needs to be louder. We have to turn it half way up to be able to hear it. The picture has a bright spot on the top center that is always brighter than the rest of the screen which really bothers me. Fast moving images don't look great, very choppy and unrealistic looking. I'd say that I don't think this is a great buy. I would either spend the money and hope a Q70, Q80, or Q90 would perform better; or spend less for a different TV that performs as well as this one.

Best 43 inch TV I could find

I was somewhat restricted in my TV search because I only have space for a 43 inch model. Most of these are fairly cheap and had poor to mediocre reviews. The only exception was the Samsung Q60 QLED. There are definitely better models out there, but only in the 50+ size range. RTINGS.COM lists this one as the best 43 inch model available and other expert reviews seem to agree. Unfortunately it costs more than twice as much as the other models, but Best Buy currently has it for 200.00 off. It has a great color range and a very clear picture with very good contrast, including blacks and whites. It looked pretty good out of the box, but has a variety of settings that can significantly improve the picture. Of the four viewing modes available, the dynamic and movie modes worked the best for me after some tweaking. It has excellent motion handling and is rated high for gaming. While peak brightness is fine for SDR content, it is too low for getting the best out of HDR content. I find that the dynamic mode with the back light set to maximum and contrast enhancer set to MAX works best for HDR. Upscaling seems to work very well, with 1080p input approaching native 4K content. The online interface is very easy to use and there a large number of apps available. I particularly like that you can control which apps appear on the home screen. The remote is small with few buttons, but missing features can easily be accessed with the online interface. The voice control feature (Bixby) also provides access to most of the TV functions and works fairly well if you speak clearly. One feature I particularly like is built-in internet access. Although somewhat restricted compared to a full featured browser, it can provide access to apps available on the internet, such as NFL Gamepass. And the browser also supports a USB mouse and keyboard. This TV can also play media content on a USB drive and has the best interface I have ever seen, with support for a large number of formats. I was pleased to see that when using a SD CARD with two SD cards inserted, both were recognized as separate drives. The only significant issue I have with this TV is that light bleeds through a fairly large portion of the right corner, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. Although it only effects very dark scenes, it can be a little distracting, but is still very watchable. Unfortunately Samsung has no in-home service available in Sioux Falls. Their customer support rep did try very hard to help, offering a replacement by either shipping or Best Buy. But due to poor health, neither option works for me. All things considered though, this is still a great TV and I would strongly recommend it to any one looking for a full featured and fairly high quality 43 inch TV, particularly if you can buy it at the current discount.

Generally a great picture and easy to setup and use. The Q60 43” Samsung offers a spacious image with rich colors and clear focus. The 4-K imaging with YouTube and other apps (using WiFi) is stunning!
Upscaling (adjusting standard quality images to 1080p) is not the best, causing some distortion when images move quickly. This occurs with older programming—re-runs of sit-comd, for example.
Navigating menus on-screen can be difficult at first as they are a bit complex and confusing, but one learns them soon enough.
The Q-60 has 4 HDMI ports, USB ports, Bluetooth, and WiFi and many apps built in. It’s a great smart TV that I can confidently recommend.

GREAT for cord cutters!!!!!

I will let others discuss the picture and sound. I personally love both. But the best part for me is that this TV is perfect for cord cutters.
It scanned over 120 antenna channels in about a minute. That's about 10 minutes faster than my other TVs. And because channel lineups change in Dallas about every month or so, that's a biggie. The guide is also VERY responsive and accurate. And there are five "favorite" lists that are really easy to add/change/delete.
The Samsung TV Plus app is great! Now, I am not going to say every channel they provide is my cup of tea, but they have some really cool channels and shows. And then you can quickly access content via You Tube and other services. Again, the apps and channels are MUCH more responsive than I have seen on other TVs. And the TV Plus channels can be added to the favorites just like regular TV channels.
I wasn't thrilled with the small minimalist remote, but in just a couple of days, I love it! Each button is context-sensitive and that means the remote does a lot with just a few buttons. And it's less than half the size of my old remote. Well done!
Finally, I plugged it into my Yamaha RX-A3000 (older AV receiver) and everything just worked. I didn't have to do anything. The remote can control the receiver on/off, volume, etc. Never had that work before without tons of effort.
What's funny is that Samsung doesn't really tout this stuff, and reviewers don't look at most of it. So I hope this helped. In summary, if you are thinking of cutting the cord, this Samsung Q60 is the TV for you!!!

Recently purchased the 43" LED Q60
For our motorhome..i have a 65" samsung in my bedroom and the Curve 65" tv in my living room. Thie 43" domload speed is fast . I use the Spectrum app in all the tvs.( turned in 3 cable boxs yay!) The spectrum app takes a while to boot up in the 65" tvs, but this 43" LED Q60 is instant loading..no waiting. I love the screen savers that come with it can leave different scenes on the screen when not watching tv. Also like the Bixby app. I asked her to show brightness control..bing it pops up to change settings without going to the menu. I can' say enough good about this tv. Will buy another for hubbys bedroom!!

Fantastic picture , easy set up. Good price. Use on Comcast HD cable, and internet. Up scaling is very good. Able to stream Netflix and You Tube 4K content with the smart tv...looks great. No content on Comcast, and they want $10 a month for a new box, and of course they only have the HVR one.
