Great picture sound and features
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was this or an LG OLED and for me I'm often in a bright room so wanted a brighter TV and was less focused on black level. Great TV and features. Not sure how other TVs have more features software wise but supposedly they do. Don't base purchase off hype but what appeals most to you and what you want.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this television about a month ago. I can tell you this tv is Great for a well lit room. We have a big window that is behind us when watching tv . We had to have our window blinds closed completely when watching our old tv .This tv has very little glare,so it is possible to watch without closing the blinds .

Stunning QLED Picture
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Q80r offers a stunning and vibrant picture. I wall mounted this in my bedroom and I could not be happier with the vibrant colors. I researched all of the Samsung QLED TVs as well as the LG OLED TVs. When I saw the two technologies and pictures side by side at Best Buy it made my decision simple.

Awesome colors
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one feature packed fantastic TV. Colors are so life like and brilliant. Menus are easy to handle and love the ease of setting up my blue tooth enabled devices. The only thing we think could use a little more work is the Bixby feature which we finally disabled due to activation for no apparent reason.

A Superb Television
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV, the picture quality and color looks amazing. The TV OS is pretty simple and fluid to use, the remote is clean and feels good in your hand. The support legs feel sturdy and the tv as a whole hardly moves if you bump into it (It is located in my room right next to my closet.) I bought this model because Samsung supports Freesync and Variable Refresh Rates (VRR) which helps cut down on screen tearing, a major issue in videogames these days. Coupled with my Xbox One X, the games look beautiful and play smoothly with little to no motion blur. I got this TV for about $1500 plus taxes. It was on sale for $1600, they price matched the Navy Exchange. Delivery was amazing, they brought it right up to my room and explained how everything worked, a very nice crew. Would buy again if need be.

Beautiful picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture with very little glare in a bright room. The remote is not easy to use, but the Comcast remote works great. I am very disappointed that it will not display video from an older VHS played that doesn't have an HDMI output. The price was high, but I chose this model for the low glare.

Really a 4.5 picture quality is awesome sound not
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought a 6 series two years ago and still amazed by the picture quality. so when our older Vizio was donated to our college students apartment we knew the Q series was our next new TV. We decided the 8 series. We were not disappointed as good as the Q6 is the 8 has even better picture quality watching baseball & tennis the colors are dynamic the fast pace of a long tennis rally has no blur. Looking forward to NBA season. I do recommend investing in a sound bar though. if you're going to spend this much on a tv speaker quality should not be an issue but as with our 6 the 8 has the speakers facing away from the front. Our much less expensive Vizio had the speakers facing forward and sound was great. All and All I recommend any of the Q series TV's

Clear and defined
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV is very clear and easy to install and setup. I got this TV when it was $400 off. My only issue is it turns on a couple of times already after switching it off. It doesn’t work with AppleHome but it’s ok. I got SmartThings installed to access TV using my iPhone.

Great with some exceptions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started out with the LG OLED as it had superior reviews, but because I have a very bright room I had to send it back. The LG was unwatchable during the day because it is so reflective. So I switched to this hot on the market Samsung. Pros - the surface is non-reflective which is great for daytime viewing. The picture is excellent. I worried it wouldn't be as good as the LG but I couldn't tell a difference in that regard. Great viewing angles as well. And no burn in worries like with the LG. Cons - sound is pretty good, not as good as the LG but acceptable without a sound bar. My biggest complaint is the wavy cloudy effect in dark scenes that happens sometimes. For instance a dark scene night sky with a brightly lit skyscraper. My old led doesn't do this and you would think for the money this Samsung wouldn't either. Also closed captions affect dimming and brightness levels as well. So be aware if you need closed captions. Not great. I'm messing around with the settings hoping to make that better. Soap opera effect was a non-issue once I turned off the motion thing. Why oh why settings don't come with soap opera effect off! Had to turn it off on the LG too. Overall I'm pretty happy with this tv.

Very Happy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this after having to return two Sony 950's, and should have bought this first! We have been very happy with this one, the colors and blacks are so much better than the Sony, as well as simpler to use and the biggest thing, NO PROBLEMS!!!

Technology upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV will replace our much older non-smart TV, and after some trial and error perhaps allow us to cut the cord. We are enjoying the experience so far. Great picture and ease of operation.

Best TV ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.okay,I'm 73 and have watched a lot of TV in my life and this is hands down, the best. Wonderful TV, However $$$ a bit over priced!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is clearly one of the best TV's I have viewed, ever! I do believe the price is to high for the Q80. I purchased the 55", 65", and the 75". Also, the Samsung sound bar which completes the total viewing experience!

Expensive but worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a lot of research before deciding on the Samsung Q80 series 55" TV. This TV is in a new room that gets a lot of light. This was the perfect TV for that environment. The TV picture is crisp and clear, and I was able to synch the picture with my ROKU. Since all the other TVs in the house use ROKU, my wife wanted to simplify her life by using the ROKU rather than use the smart function of this TV. Everything worked out great. The size was perfect for the wall space. All in all, it turned out to be a good experience.

Very pleased with purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.10 yr old Samsung died and decided to go Samsung again. Wow times have changed. Looked at Lg and Samsung and liked brightness and picture better on 55 inch Q80. BB did not have in local store but called nearby one and arranged everything. Ready for pu at other store and staff loaded it into SUV and away I went. Was very impressed with packaging. The way it was packaged was so easy I by myself was easily able to remove and set up. Samsung really put some thought in packaging. No problem with adjusting or connection to cable. Purchased a Bose 500 sound bar which fit perfectly between tv legs and also went for bass and remote speakers. Scary good sound. So far happy with purchase, love small bezel and great pictures and surround sound. May have been pricy but worth it.
