Excellent Television - Would Buy Again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is unparalleled as is the sound quality. Getting it out of the box was a bit of a challenge- it's heavy but setup was a breeze. From box to being able to watch the television took about 20 minutes. I was a bit nervous about the remote. It's quite minimal in that there are not a lot of buttons but it does the job and it does it quite efficiently. I would buy this television again.

Excellent, Clear T.V.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsunt 55" TU 8300 provides excellent picture and sound quality and is easy to set up. The simple remote is easy to use but, since it blocks all other remotes, locks out desireable functions controlling other components, limiting home theater functionality. So I rate it overall as 4 instead of 5. easy to set up remote easy to use negative remote control takes over all other controllers and freezes them out. some of which, while more complex, offer functionality I want. Therefore I moved my rating down from 5 to 4.

Great picture, excellent value.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung TU8300 provides a great picture and the curved screen allows it to fit perfectly in the corner of my living room. The set up was very easy. My only critique is that the remote could be more intuitive.

Outstanding TV for use as HUGE gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb image clarity, color, and responsiveness. Used as a monitor for a gaming computer, it provides unbeatable field of view, both side to side and in height. Comes with a lot of functionality, including voice interaction. The remote that comes with it is a bit sparse on control buttons, making it cumbersome to use if voice command is not used. The TV does respond to more full-featured remotes programmed for Samusung TVs.

An evaluation from an old person.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I learned how to work the remote, things have been going well. I do wish they would return to the remotes with numbers and ease of changing channels with the remote. I understand the streaming has made a big difference, but I don't need to be searching every time I want to watching tv.

Not impressed with interface
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is great, but I really HATE the remote and software interface. I have a Bose soundbar and the TV keeps "connecting" then dropping the connection. When I turn on the TV, it defaults to its own Samsung TV channel, whatever that is. Then I get the news blaring at me that I don't want. I have a few more days to consider returning, or maybe I should just get an Amazon Firestick and go with that. So far, not impressed.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung TU8300 TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the interface and will share it with our teams.
Depending on if you are connecting your soundbar via Bluetooth or an HDMI connection, there are several things you can check. We recommend using a wired connection rather than using Bluetooth. For the best sound quality and performance, connect your soundbar with a Digital Audio Out (Optical) or an HDMI (ARC) cable. HDMI is better if the only external device connected to your TV is your soundbar. Otherwise, Digital Audio Out is usually the better option, depending on your setup.
Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens.

If you want a big tv this is it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am normally not a huge fan of big TVs, but this one is nice. I like the OS most of the reviews say that they hate it. What I like is that it has TikTok. The downside is the remote control is hard to get used to.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv. Bought it for my dad as an upgrade. The only issue I had was the remote. A bit complicated for my dad, but got him a universal remote to help out. Overall great tv

Very good TV, Samsung quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We chose this TV after studying reviews of 55" sets from a consumer organization. This TV has a great picture and good sound with internal speakers. Set up was easy. The curved screen worked well in our situation, but may not be for everyone. It does provide a slight sense of depth to the picture. The screen is somewhat more reflective than our other Samsung, so proper lighting is more important. I'm not a big fan of the "smart" remote, which has only a few buttons, as it takes some learning to know how to access the functions. Overall, it is a very good TV for the price, and the 55" size is just what we needed.

Nice TV but navigation needs improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The television has a nice crisp picture and was easy to set up. I like the free channels that were automatically included. I am only taking one star because in its effort to make the remote minimalist, it can be hard to realize what to push to navigate the site to your apps.
