Great panel but bad ports
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has an amazing panel. Wonderful picture. I do installs for Geek Squad and was reluctant to buy a Samsung TV because I typically see issues with them. I decided to buy this during the black friday sales event solely because it’s a QLED with 120Hz HDMI inputs. Also i have kids and Samsung’s OS has great customization for parentsl controls. Well my PS5 will not display a picture on this TV unless I disable Input Signal Plus. I also have an LG soundbar and the TV spontaneously gives me no sound output through my soundbar. I did not have either of these issues prior to purchasing this TV. I really love Samsung’s TV UI and the panel on this TV is immaculate, but the inputs are useless. Samsung seriously needs to release a firmware update resolving this. I researched my specific issues online and i’m not the only one experiencing this. Swapping for an LG miniLED instead. I don’t like LG’s UI but st least i’ll have functioning ports.

Not Again
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i will never buy another Samsung product again. my tv is about 2 1/2 yrs old. i spent 6 wks trying to get them to come out. they farm out their work. The guy that did the work basically replaced 1 of 2 boards in the rear. Ran out the door and didn't stay to see if it worked right. He had to come back and was saying he was going to charge me. NO WAY- He came bcak and replaced the other board, which meant he gave me an all new tv except for the screen. Just a few weeks ago my screen started to go on me. I had best buy come in to look at it. they had to replace the screen, and when they put the new one in it didn't work( thanks again Samsung). so i have an appointment next tuesday for another screen. Hopefully this will work. If it doesn't and Bestbuy gives me a runaround i'll be livid !!

Automatically Turns On
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brilliant picture, but the display automatically turns on and there’s no fix that I could find online. It seems to be a common issue with Samsung TVs, not just this model, as I found thread after thread and video after video of people trying to correct the issue to no avail. I decided to return the TV instead of resorting to unplugging it every night - something I don’t believe I should have to do with a TV priced as high as this.

Posted .Chris,
It’s unfortunate to hear your Q70C TV is turning on by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
5. Disable the Power On with Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If the TV continues to turn on by itself, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Samsung TV, 65" Open Box
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item as an open box. Was very disappointed with the TV. the color quality of the TV was terrible. The picture quality was bad, on one side of the screen the picture looked normal as I expected, but the other side of the screen the picture quality was quite different, it was much darker. I did return the TV and got another one that was not an open box. Much happier with my new TV

Back light issues after 10 months
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV as an open box item in March 2024. By January 2025, half of the screen went dim and Samsung was charging $800 or more for repair. I have a lower quality Samsung TV that has lasted many years so I am hesitant to upgrade to the better models. I will never buy open box items again.

Exchanged for another brand
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it two stars because I really wanted to like the TV but had to return it after multiple calls to Samsung and Geek Squad. Seems there is a very common problem with the audio input switching back to TV from HDMI earc. Everytime we would turn the TV on the next day it would be back on TV Speaker and would be almost impossible to get it back to HDMI without unplugging the cable. I will say that Best Buy was awesome and picked up the tv and delivered a Sony which has worked perfectly. Kudos to Best Buy!

Buyer beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is something you need a degree incomputer technology. The fella who supposedly helped us didnt say anything about the solar-powered remote and the difficulty in setting it up. It messed up my internet and the volume control will not work. It was easy to see the young man didn't want to wait on older people. Didnt explain anything about the extended warranty. Sam's club had the same tv with a 5 year warranty included, yours we had to pay for. NOT HAPPY!!!
