Sony Q800 LED TV

Premium cost, subpar build quality

Then started to short circuit and have issues turning on. Got it finally exchanged and the new one then had screen issues. Took 4 months to get it completely returned and went back to Sony. Stay away from this thing!

DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY!!!!!

Bought this Samsung 10 weeks ago and it’s already broken!!!! Purple line going through the screen. This exact thing happened with our old Samsung tv but it was 8 years old. The purple line shows up and then within a few weeks the tv goes out. Very upset as I believed I added the extra warrantee on the order as I had added a lot of extras while purchasing this item online. Apparently it did not get added. Called Best Buy and they said there’s only a 15 day return period!!!! That is ridiculous!!!! Paid almost $4600 for everything and two months later they say I have to deal directly with Samsung now. Best Buy gets your money and then turn their heads the other way. I will never ever purchase anything from Best Buy again!!! And for Samsung, purchasing a top of the line (their best TV) turns out to be junk!!!! Don’t buy it!!!!!!

Missing Parts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV was missing essential parts despite being open box. the one part needed to power the tv was excluded. Furthermore, customer service did not help, find a replacement part and suggested that I simply return the item for store credit. I'm extremely disappointed being that I enjoy purchasing appliances/electronics through best buy. I understand that certain items may be missing, but to sell a tv without a power source should not be allowed.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. While most 8K content is captured using cinema-grade 8K HDR cameras, most of this content is finished in 4K resolution, which is currently the highest resolution available in newer Blu-rays or DVDs.
The amount of 8K content available continues to expand – content platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo feature a great deal of 8K content, mostly focused on nature and travel. This is quite similar to the way that 4K content was introduced to the market.
Although your movies and shows may be in 4K resolution, please rest assured as your QN800C features Samsung’s Neo Quantum Processor 8K with AI-powered multi-layered neural networks to brilliantly upscale and enhance lower resolution images to 8K, regardless of the source. Every frame has 33 million pixels that provide an incredible sense of depth and clarity.
To provide you with the best viewing experience, we recommend connecting external devices (like a Blu-ray Player) with HDMI cables, as this type of connection offers the best picture. Although all content resolutions will upscale, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it.

Died after 20 days

Can’t return it cause of the 15 day return policy. Had to call Samsung and they agreed to fix it under the manufacturer warranty.

once a good tv but now its junk
