They are SATA, so of course not the fastest speeds. On the other hand, I mainly use them for mass storage and games, so that's not a critical lack. A 1TB Samsung SSD also did fine as a boot drive, back before I had a motherboard with a M.2 slot.

Just started using and had success copying old drive to this with Samsung software. Little confusing determining correct installer to download. It’s working and has sped up my computer

I highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for more SSD space if they don't have any NVME slots available.

The QVO is fine for small to medium file sizes, but I usually deal with files sizes north of 80GB, at which is QVO slows down to HDD speeds. This EVO keeps up with my high data ingestion of video footage perfectly fine, and keeps speeds multiple times higher than what an HDD would.
