I tried some cheaper alternatives. Not rock bottom, but less costly than the Samsung. I've had 4 failures after a couple of months, but not one of the Samsung's I put out have had any problem. I'm sticking with reliability.

Once again an excellent product from Samsung, replaced my almost full 250 GB Samsung 860 with the new 870 EVO and it is faster than lightning. where my system used to take approximately Two and a Half Men it's to fully boot up from hitting the power button, it is now at my desktop ready to work within 15 seconds! Saving and opening very large files now happens basically in the blink of an eye.

my sister in-laws laptop was very slow. turns out her HDD was constantly running at 100% compacity. I replaced it with this SSD & its running amazing. she felt like her Dell laptop is brand new again. Samsung has pretty good reviews on there SSD & for a very reasonable price.

I purchased this to replace an old Toshiba hard drive that was failing. It would take over a minute just to boot. After swapping in this new Samsung SSD, my computer literally boots in under 5 seconds. It’s absolutely amazing how fast this SSD is. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to increase their read/write speeds. You will not regret this purchase.

The Samsung 870 EVO solid-state internal hard drive is, so far, working great. I am happy with the Geek Squad who installed and transferred the data from my old drive to this new one.

It might be pricey but there is no price for not having to worry about losing your data. I have seen other SSD's fail much sooner than they should have. I can count how many Samsung's I have installed over the past 5 years (100's) that have failed on one hand. And when they did, the warranty process was easy and quick.

Great speed, easy setup. No issues with the drive to this point.
