I use this as my primary boot partition. My pc boots in sub 10 seconds to the windows 10 home screen. Plenty of space for all my programs and a decent steam library. Runs cooler than other similar products.

the standard all other brands are compared against. extremely fast, only one faster that I have tested is the 970 pro. it is just barely faster. brought on sale , great value for the price.

Easy to install on Lenovo P50 laptop once you have the M.2 SSD tray. Cloned hard drive, changed BIOS boot order and it works great! Definitely improves user performance for business use.

I've had plenty of SATA SSDs from Samsung but none of them compares to the speed of this! My benchmarking puts this very close to the advertised speeds. Install was extremely easy.

Overall it performs very well. Gets a little warm, so I wouldn't put it in a PC that lacks good cooling. I use it as my boot drive and I get a ~15 second boot which is awesome.

Bought this to replace my optane memory that died in my alienware aurora. easy update and repalcement, and flies way over optane and the 7200 rpm.

Pretty good price now vs what these used to run. Very fast and worth the extra price. I run CAD software on my laptop and it is now faster than my desktop machine.

I had a Samsung 850 Evo 2.5 inch ssd previously and figured I would try this. Honestly don’t notice much of a difference but benchmarking it was very fast and using my old ssd as a backup drive it moves large files back and forth in seconds. Crazy how fast it is. Plus it’s njce to save the Sata port and go with a tighter form factor without cables. If in the market it’s a no brainer to get this, if you have an 850 or 860 Evo it’s probably not worth it unless you are getting a larger drive and need that. Day to day usage powering the machine on, booting the os, running applications all seems the same.

Bought this to increase the storage on my laptop, having an issue making it so that the drive is recognized as 1 ~480gb drive so right now I have two roughly 240gb partitions on the one drive which is fine was going to load ubuntu onto half of the drive anyway. The speeds on the drive are ridiculous wish my desktop had those speeds sadly it is super outdated.

It’s fast and easy to install. Bought this to replace my boot drive. The Samsung disk cloning software worked perfectly. My machine boots incredibly fast now.

This is one fast SSD. They offer a free cloning software but I just used Macrium Reflect anyways. Best Buy’s sale in this made the price pretty good. The only issue I have with it is that it did not include the screw to hold it down on the motherboard. For how much this was, I think it should’ve included it. I had to drive to a computer store to get one.

Wasn't hard to set up, you just need to pop it into the correct slot. I wouldn't call it beginner proof, as you still need to be able to format it correctly and get it all set up, but installing is a breeze and the rest isn't too difficult to figure out. Mine has been working pretty well, and I know Samsung SDDs are pretty popular because of reliability compared to other brands, so I was expecting as much. It isn't the newest or most up to date SSD, but if you're looking to upgrade or just for a little extra space like I was, it's not a bad deal.

Very fast drive, coming from a standard SSD it was still a great upgrade for boot drive Does get warm so make sure it has some air flow or it will throttle

The 970 EVO is a great product. It's incredibly fast as it should be. This technology is beautiful. FYI it will take up an express lane from your MOBO.

Boots extremely fast. Easy to install. Wish it came with the screw. Just partition the disk, change the boot order in bios, and you are ready to go.

Great drive, excellent speeds and Samsung reliability but unless this is discounted I would suggest the newer Evo 970 Plus model. This one has a significant slowdown in write speed when the buffer gets filled. The 970+ model helps correct this issue. Otherwise, this is a great drive and still far faster than Sata SSD drives.

This is about as good as the previous generation PRO model, but at about half the cost. A very good value, especially for something this fast!
