We cook a lot of stews, gumbos, soups, and this works great. It also boils water very quickly. The middle burner has a 22,000 BTU burner.

best buy left me with gas leak for two days

Grates are heavy and cumbersome to remove to clean. surface cleans nicely, but those grates should fold up like most other stove tops do, make sure to have correct opening or cut out and then have a professional gas installer put it in. never hire best buy for this install. read all the reviews first. the customer service at samsung is about the worst i'v ever had the displeasure to work with

It gets a little hot up front on the panels, you would have to watch small kids. but we have to watch them anyways.
