Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smart watch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. Take a moment to review, "Keep your Galaxy device at its normal operating temperature" for some great tips on keeping your device in tip top shape. Without having more information available regarding what you may be experiencing with your fingerprint scan feature and without being able to ask you any follow up questions to probe further, I recommend reaching out to Samsung Support if you would like any further assistance and/or help with troubleshooting your device.
