Four years ago I bought my first Samsung laptop--a 13.3" Galaxy Book2. I was skeptical because Samsung makes TVs, not laptops. It turns out, Samsung makes GREAT laptops! The Galaxy Book6 Pro is yet another fine, lightweight, sleek, powerful laptop great for home use and even better to take on the road. A dark blue-ish gray, this thin laptop feels strong. Mostly aluminum (?), the laptop opens to reveal an illuminated keyboard and large touchpad. There are 2 USB-C and an HDMI port on the left side of the laptop, and a USB-A and AUX audio port on the right. The processor is an Intel Core Ultra 7 which is more than enough processing power for the average student or home user, and the right amount for the power business user and even tackles AI tasks such as running Ollama, Claude Desktop or LM Studio fairly well (assuming you respect the recommendations of Ollama/LM Studio on a machine of this size). I am a tech nerd, but I won't pretend to fully understand how machines use CPU, NPU and GPU anymore, but knowing that NPU and GPU are utilized for AI tasks, you can be confident that asking Gemini or Claude a question is a task this machine can handle easily. The touchscreen is bright and responsive, however, Samsung chose to round the corners of the display which is a visual difference from other laptops. The fingerprint reader works very well for logon. Where this machine shines? BATTERY LIFE! Rated at 30 hours, you won't panic if you forget your charger (included) and because the laptop charges off a USB-C port, you can borrow a co-worker or friend's charger if you absolutely need it. Plus, it runs cooler and quieter than my Galaxy Book2. I still hear the fan when it is working hard, but it definitely isn't a distraction. It should be noted that this is not a "gamer's" notebook as it lacks a discreet graphics card. Honestly, the graphics, while adequate for streaming video and playing simple games, could have been upgraded to make this a "MacBook killer" but alas, if you want a MacBook, buy a MacBook. The integrated speakers are an improvement from most entry-level notebooks. Robust and rich for laptop speakers, but obviously not as immersive as your noise cancelling headphones or your home stereo system. More pleasant than traditional "tinny" sounding speakers you might be used to. A decent way to play some tunes in a hotel room and rich enough to capture the essence of a streaming action flick. One quirk that I hope is just an "adaptation issue" that will go away the more I use it but I have "double-tapped" letters a few times in the first week of heavy use. Ffor exammple, I have oon occasion seeen letterrs doubble upp on the screenn. [Never that bad, but it has happened more than once where I have had to go back and clean up an accidental, unintentional double letter that shouldn't be there.] I also find myself accidentally touching the touchpad with the fleshy part of my hands likely because I am not used to the large touchpad. Once again, Samsung has not disappointed. I didn't *need* to replace my Galaxy Book2 after four years but I took advantage of an opportunity to upgrade and I am confident I won't regret the decision to still with Samsung over the other traditional laptop brands.

The Experience: I’ve used quite a few laptops, and the Galaxy Book 6 Pro stands out for its extreme portability. At only 3.5 lbs and very thin, it’s a breeze to carry all day. The standout feature is definitely the AMOLED screen; the colors are rich, and the blacks are deep, making streaming content look incredible. For my daily productivity work—lots of emails, web browsing, and document editing—the battery life easily lasted the entire day. The haptic touchpad is smooth and responsive, which is a nice premium touch. While I usually use a much larger workstation with superior audio, this laptop sounds surprisingly clear for its size, though it does lack some mid and bass frequencies. Performance Note: It’s important to know what this is not: a gaming or heavy 4K editing rig. While it can handle light work in those areas, the integrated graphics have their limits. I tested a few games on low settings, and it worked fine, but don't expect much headroom for anything demanding. For daily productivity and media, it's fantastic! Very snappy and fun. Pros: • Portability: Incredibly thin and light (3.5 lbs). • Display: Fantastic color accuracy and deep blacks—perfect for media. • Battery: Reliable all-day life for standard office work. • Touchpad: Responsive haptic feedback. Cons: • Audio: Clear but lacks low-end/bass. • Graphics: Integrated GPU limits high-end gaming and 4K editing. • Keyboard: Adequate and functional, but unremarkable. Verdict: I would definitely recommend this to anyone prioritizing portability and screen quality for productivity and entertainment. At this price point, the quality and performance are well-aligned.
