This has to be the fastest phone I have ever had. It's the best phone camera I have ever had. I thought the S6 plus looked pretty cool, but I thought I would break my trend and jump to the NOTE, since it's the same specs. I really appreciate the stylus. Samsung Pay is insane. I LOVE to go into places and pay with my phone, after the cashier tells me they are not set up for mobile payments. They look at me like I am some sort of Wizard. Beautiful screen, excellent battery life, comfortable.... How do I give this 6 stars???

I am kind of a gear head when it comes to phones. I have never had a phone this snappy. Coming from the S2, S3, S4, and S5, I am genuinely impressed. Every click is instant. The camera comes up with two taps of the home button. I can walk down the street, take a picture, and it's not blurry!!! Low light photos are pretty decent. Same megapixel rating as my S4 and S5, but much more detail in the photos! Pros: Incredibly fast. Can run emulators for more advanced systems without crackle. Battery life is amazing -- 100% at 8:30a; 90% at 2:09p. (Varies on some days, but the fast charge is quick.) I didn't have my phone sitting right on the inductive charger last night. It was at 40% this morning. Charged it in the car for 20 minutes and here at work for 30 minutes. It was at 100%. My co-worker has a plain S6, and his battery does not last like mine. (Could be that he gets a weaker signal where he sits.) Internal memory truly is way faster than my super-fast micro-SD. Photo gallery pictures populate almost instantly. Fingerprint sensor is way slicker than the S5's. Cons: They got rid of the IR blaster. No more remote control :-(. Memory card and battery are not removable, but WOW! I don't worry much about battery anymore, but really preferred my Mophie (for my S5) over previous bulkier batteries. Would be nice to have a place to store music on an external card. Hoping for an Incipio battery/memory case for this phone. Meanwhile 64GB of screaming fast memory is plenty. I hate to be this hooked on this phone, but 4GB of RAM and 8-cores are killer. I am even getting into the whole s-pen craze. I am going to attach an image. I will only crop the photo, show zoom section of tree, and save at PhotoShop 72% jpeg format.

Notice phone overall but I'm disappointed that they sealed the battery in and made it with no card slot for a micro SD card ...is should have came with a battery double the size than what's in it or should have had the option like the memory of the size battery

My first experience with the Note line was a Note 2 that I foolishly gave up when the Samsung S5 came out. For over 2 years I longed to have a Note again, one that was solid, fast, had a usable stylus. I was on the fence about the Note 5 due to no SD card and the glass back; wondering if it was too fragile. I've had the phone for about 3 weeks and I haven't missed the SD card yet (I have the 64 GB model) and I have the phone in a Tech21 case. Dropped 1 time so far and no problems. The camera is amazing, even taking great low light photos. I haven't noticed any lag and the stylus is a great bonus. It really seems to have a purpose now, and comes in handy to be able to write a quick note down even with the phone turned off. I use this phone all day to read/reply to my corporate mail, Lync meetings over WiFi and LTE, note taking, general browsing and Facebook. Even after 10+ hours, I'm only down to around 40%. One the weekend, using the phone for navigation, taking pictures and videos of my kids, texting and browsing, still great battery life. And, using the cloud to store my pictures, no worries about storage.

    Vs. Moto Droid Maxx

Coming from a Droid Maxx, this is a big phone. No doubt that the phone itself is great, great screen, stylus, blazing fast. Without a bunch of numbers I can assuredly say Web pages load faster, apps are faster, it's just crazy fast in comparison. Battery life is great, I use my phone for work and I haven't had to worry about the battery. I can talk 2-3 hrs and use 2-3 hrs of acreen on time without a problem and make it thru the day. My battery on the Maxx was dying so getting thru the day without charging was impossible, and that used to be my favorite feature of the phone. A week into the phone and I'm missing some of the moto software features, the biggest is the active notifications. On the note 5 I see the notifications and can select them, but then I need to unlock the phone and sometimes I go directly to the notifications other times I end up at the home screen. I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later but like anything new it takes some getting used to. Write on pdfs. That is something I purchased the note 5 for and I must say it works great. Now you are able to import a Pdf into snote and write away, or you can use markups within the Adobe app itself. This is well worth it for those of us that deal with contracts or blueprints on a regular basis.

    Great Phone, But Pricey

First things first, this is my first new phone in years, moving up from a Samsung Galaxy S3. I have been hemming and hawing about buying a new phone and looking at phones every time I get into the store….much to my wife’s chagrin, it’s probably been e year since my “research” started. The phone obviously much larger than my previous, but that is nice for someone who is getting up in years and has issues with seeing small print. The screen is very bright and extremely clear. The phone is very fast, and has not experienced lag with any of the applications that I have loaded. I expect this from a phone with an Octo-Core. I am still getting used to the s-pen and have not used it much, but the screen off memo feature is really useful. Basically, you can jot down a quick note when you remove the s-pen and the phone is locked, without having to unlock the phone first. This has proven useful for me for business and the quick grocery list type of memo item. The reception is much better than my previous phone and I have yet to lose a call, even in spots where my old phone did so. No issues with battery life, which lasts for a day and half with moderate usage. Heavy use, i.e.: streaming music, leaving apps open, wireless + Wi-Fi active, screen always one etc…battery lasts for a solid day. Much better than I would have expected from a multi core phone with a super AMOLED large display. Now for the down sides, which are very few from what I have been able to determine. Samsung has gone the way of integrated memory with no options for expansion. This was one of the major reasons why I shied away from Apple in the beginning. Additionally, this phone is pricey, especially when you opt for the “64G more memory” version, which I did. I am still suffering from sticker shock. The battery is non-replaceable without sending it to the “factory”. Hopefully, it won’t be a problem, but if it is, it means being without a phone for a bit unless you have a protection plan (added $$$, like we need that after spending all this money a on a phone). Its last downside is the Samsung wireless charging puck that came as a special when I purchased this phone. It has all sorts of issues and only works intermittently. Agrgevating to say teh least. Will be bringin it back for another, which will hopefully work better. Granted, this isn’t a phone issue per say, but it did detract from my initial experience. So, if you’re looking for the latest and greatest in phones, like the s-pen and are willing to pay a premium price, this phone is for you. I would suggest spending the $$ if you can afford them to get as much memory as you can. If the s-pen isn't your thing, then look at the S6 Edge+, which is basically a Note5 without the s-pen and with the "edgey stuff"....which by the way is pretty neat too. But beware with any of the Edge phones as they have yet to make an edge to edge (sorry for the pun) screen protector or a "bullet proof" case like the otter box defender for them.

    Best Phone I've Ever Had

This is the best phone I've ever had! The camera is great and very user friendly. The S-Pen feels lighter and is easier to write with. My Favorite feature on the phone is being able to write with the S-Pen with the screen off, which comes in handy especially at work. A lot of people don't seem to be to happy about the removal of the sd card, but they created a 64 GB version which is what I have and I'm still no where near the limit with 3580 songs, 1863 kindle books downloaded and 2528 pictures. Samsung still adds some of their own apps (thankfully not nearly as many as before in previous models) but they added the option for us to disable the ones we don't want, which is just the same as uninstalling the app. This phone was slimmed down just a bit (in width, not length) to fit in one hand comfortably, compared to the bulky note 4. Personally, I liked the size of the note 4, but the note 5 works for me too, especially with all the extra features it has with the S-Pen. This is definitely my favorite phone, that I've ever had, and the fastest with its 4 GB of ram, it definitely does make a difference.

Best Galaxy Phone I Have Ever Owned!

I decided to try the Galaxy Note 5, after reading a lot of articles and reviews of the phone. I was very skeptical, as my wife and I both had the Galaxy S5. We love the Galaxy S5, for is flexible, removable storage options, the easily removable battery, and the IR blaster. And we love how reliable it is. I was dead set against giving up my flexible storage, and my accessible battery. I have to say, now, that I don't even miss those things. The Galaxy Note 5 is a solid, sturdy, flexible phone that has proven itself a more than worthy upgrade from the S5. I made sure that I got the 64gb, for plenty of storage. The S Pen has proven itself to be extremely useful. The fingerprint reader is echelon's above the one on the Galaxy S5! The camera is AMAZING! The extra screen real estate has made reading items displayed very easy! Well worth every penny! I liked it so much, and my wife liked it so much, that we got her one, a month later! We bought both phones from Best Buy, who's associates made the purchase easy. At the time of purchase for both phones, Best Buy was offering a $100 gift card with purchase. We decided to purchase the phones on a payment plan, and we're able to use the gift cards to pay for the taxes, etc... and we evendors had some left on the card for accessories! Sweet deal! We will buy all our phones from Best Buy, going forwards!

I'm a die hard HTC fan, but Samsung nailed it with this one. Don't let their past history lame phone/hardware updates fool you! This phone is solid. Excellent battery, they best camera available. Perfect size (with or without a case), premium fit and finish. It is ALWAYS fast, and NEVER LAGGY! Touchwiz had literally gone from the BOTTOM go the TOP as far as Android OS interfaces are concerned. Bleeding edge technology and refined world class software makes this phone a 10 out of 10.... and yes I own a 128GB RG iPhone 6s Plus. It is not as nice on any scale as the Note 5 is!

We've just upgraded our Samsung Note 2's to the Samsung Note 5. We are really enjoying the new features on the Samsung Note 5 - a new slim design, beautiful clear and large screen, and updated camera. There's no place to install a micro SD card, so get the model with the most storage (memory) - 64 GB, but cloud storage for pictures is available to off load pictures and video that take the most amount of space.

Love the big clear screen with 4k resolution. Love how easy and touch sensitive the stylst pen is. I use it all the time to write quick notes on the fly. Absolutely love 64G memory never having more than 16g phones in the past. The operating system and the 4g of RAM make its samsungs fastest and smoothest phone to date. And the camera is absolutely amazing for a smart phone.

A Samsung Galaxy Note 5 64Gb model phone is not for everyone. It is a big phone with big performance, big screen, and on a 2 year Verizon contract, a big bargain. I am a tech geek and the performance benchmarks on this phone are off the hook. The rest of the specs are also great. I still hate that Samsung is taking away the micro sdcard slots and sealing the battery compartments of all their newest phones, but the 64Gb model was well worth the price and the battery lasts long enough to get me through the day.

Snappy Phone. Great Camera and Display

Wow, Samsung has outdone themselves with this phone. It's very snappy, has no lag. It has plenty of features that I won't list here since they're probably listed everywhere else. The camera is great and very fast. So great that I don't even use my DSLR like I used to. I've had this phone for about 3 months and I'm glad I upgraded. Other notes: it has premium feel and the display is awesome. Use this display for about a week, then look at the latest iPhones. No comparison, there's no going back. You often hear "oh, that's overkill," or "who can tell the difference?" These are typical words from iPhone users in denial. I heard the same thing about "4G" or "Bigger phone" or "4K recording." Then all of a sudden when it comes out "OMG! Revolutionary! Look at this! Apple invented everything!" Trust me, get this phone. I'm not happy about the non-removable battery and SD card, but at this point, I'll just have to live with it... I do miss it (not gonna be a Samsung apologist, ahem).

Inspired by Japanese de-cluttering guru Marie Kondo, I was inspired to get rid of everything in my life that did not Spark Joy. My Kindle Fire, Asus Notebook, and Insignia (Best Buy Brand) 24" HDTV got kicked to the curb, and I replaced them all with this Galaxy Note 5! The extra large screen is just large enough to browse the internet, write work emails, read e-books, and watch movies. The only thing this phone can't do is heat up my Totino's lunch. (That better be next Samsung.) I love having the S-Pen to make handwritten notes or doodle works of art. Maybe one other downside of this phone is my toddler loves to use the S-pen to pick her nose. I don't like that, but it's more proof that this phone does it all. The photos it takes are also pretty awesome. This phone is a keeper that sparks joy everyday.

Wow, excellent phone. I've owned the Note 2, 3, and 4, and this one is by far the best. I got the 64GB model which gives me enough storage without the need for an SD card since that expansion option is no longer offered on this model. Also, even though the battery is smaller in capacity, my battery life has actually been longer than what I experienced with the Note 4. Camera quality is the best in the business. Multiple friends of mine, who are iPhone owners consistently ask me to take pictures and send them to them, rather than using their own camera. That speaks for itself. Metal and glass construction feels more premium than any previous Note model, and the form factor is smaller and easier to hold than past models despite maintaining the same screen size. Display, camera, construction, battery life, and customizability are all the best in the business. You are buying the best smartphone available right now if you choose the Note 5.

I have owned Verizon's Notes 2,3,4 and now the note 5. This is the best note yet...initially I was concerned about the lack of expandable memory, removable battery and no IR blaster. My note 4 was loaded with over 100 apps and I was only using a total of about 12gb's. I am a power user and one battery has always been sufficient. Finally I only used the IR blaster to show off my phone's capabilities when I had guest, that being said I really don't miss not having it at all. NOW as for the NOTE 5...this phone is great, it gives me everything I need for business and personal life...it looks great, and performance is the best I have ever experienced in a smart phone. So did I make the right decision in upgrading from the Note 4 to the Note 5...YES INDEED I DID!
