I have always enjoyed the Note series phones and was crushed when I had to give my Note 7 up. Thankfully, the Note 9 addresses almost all the issues: 1) The RAM and Removable Storage are improved. 2) Video recording improved (smoother). 3) The fingerprint sensor is FINALLY where it should be and feels right with easy access when grabbing the phone for use. 4) Perfect size for larger hands (my glove size is usually XL). The Note 9 marries these with longstanding Pros: 1) Camera is away from the corners where my big fingers don't get in the shot (which is my biggest issue with other phones). That, for me, is a BIG DEAL. 2) And I love, love, love the SPen and use it for important stuff. Not all the time, but when I do use it, you can bet I am glad to have it and think it is such an important part of the phone that I can't believe others don't do this. 3) No notch, hole punch or cut-out for the selfie camera (which would be an obstruction for sketching, drawing, painting and creativity). There are still cons, but they aren't as the cons in other phones: 1) The curved edge surface is not a reliable surface, it's more of an obstacle for drawing and sketching, which I love to do on it. 2) The Bixby button is pretty much useless, I do not like or use assistants. Unfortunately, I understand that it cannot be remapped to be useful for some other functionality, which is lame. I have submitted this review before, and that one was even more detailed, it was deleted probably because I did a lot of comparisons on other brands and models. So, suffice it to say that I think this is still the very best phone available under all brands, models and versions. Do get a scratch protective film for the display, do get a protective case that will meet your needs, it is worth it. I also had a Samsung fast wireless charger from my old Note 7 that works well.

I'll keep it short and simple. I'm a tech head and I've been on team android since the beginning ( I had the first android smartphone - T-mobile G1). I got with Samsung beginning with the S3. I upgraded from the S7 Edge and I love this phone. Battery lasts me about a day and a half on moderate use, I love the S Pen and the unique features it has. The display is gorgeous and the camera is amazing. If you are contemplating on getting this phone, don't. JUST GET IT. You won't be disappointed.

Samsung did it again with another amazing Note. I just can get over the camera, screen, battery life and s pen! Yes I use it and works the best yet. I love using to take quick Notes and they are saved seemingly to S note. Sadly had to turn in my note 7, but this one sure is a step up.

So many features and such an amazing camera, the amount of space, the battery life, the quick charging. Absolutely no complaints about this phone. I've tried Apple I've tried LG but Samsung has my heart! 10/10 get this phone if you want one that does it all!

I upgraded from a galaxy S4, so the jump in technology was a pretty big one from my perspective! The camera was my main reason for buying this, and it does not disappoint! The Youtube videos extolling the virtues of the camera capabilities are better at describing the color and clarity than I can attempt to do here. The Best Buy sales associate was able to transfer everything from my old S4 right to the Note 9 with no bugs; I did have to re-start my Google voice number, but that was easy as receiving a text and following a prompt, My biggest surprise was the quality of the phone calls- it sounds like the person is right in the room with me, and the noise cancelling is very subtle, yet effective. I have rather large hands, so the size of the phone is a great "fit" for me. I'm very happy with this phone, and look forward to many years of great picture-taking and clear phone calls! (I don't even mind the ubiquitous robo-sales calls now!)

I'm a huge fan of the note line-up. I had a galaxy note 5 and then a note 8. I just traded in my note 8 for this new note 9 and I couldn't be happier with my upgrade. Compared to the note 8, the note 9 has a slightly bigger screen and seems less curved at the edges, which i think is an improvement. The processor is snappier and there is absolutely no lag. I love the new features on the S-pen. For those who do not know, the S-pen now has a separate bluetooth connection (which does not interfere with the standard bluetooth connector). This bluetooth connection allows you to use the pen as a remote control for the phone. Press the button on the pen to take photos, or advance through pictures in your gallery. There are many possible uses you can customize. Also the S-pen is powered by a supercapacitor. Its a new fancy kind of small battery. It charges from 0-100% in 30-40 seconds and the charge will last about 40 minutes when the pen is outside of the phone. All you have to do is put the pen back into the phone to charge it. I'm getting about 48 hours of battery life with typical usage (not playing games). Speaking of games, I loaded Fortnite onto the phone and it plays flawlessly with no lag or stutter. Its unbelievable. I've yet to see this phone slow down, stutter, or have difficulty with any of the tasks i throw at it. The screen is gorgeous. I mean gorgeous. Its an absolutely pleasure to look at photos or watch a movie on this thing. The camera is the best I've ever seen in a phone, The new improvements, particularly in low-light shots are amazing. Seriously people. Go buy this phone. You won't regret it.

After having my Galaxy Note 4 for almost 4 years, it was starting to slow down, and rather than wipe it and start fresh, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I skipped the Note 5, 7 and 8 and am very pleased with my Note 9. The screen is quite large but also quite wonderful. The colors are excellent and the quality is superb. The CPU is much faster than my Note 4 and I have really enjoyed using it for a number of tasks ranging from email, to Youtube, to Facebook, to watching movies, reading PDF attachments and listening to audio books. Splitting the screen and having two windows running is similar to my dual monitor arrangement at home. The Note 9 comes with 128 GB of internal memory and 6 GB of RAM. I added a 128 GB Micro SD card so 256 GB is a lot of room to hold a ton of music, books, movies, pictures, etc. I haven't done a lot with the camera yet but vacation is coming up shortly and it will get used. From what I have seen, the camera with the dual aperture lenses makes for wonderful daylight or low light pictures. I do make use of the S Pen pretty often and find it helpful. The 4000 MA battery frequently lasts almost two full days, a very pleasant surprise. I am delighted and highly recommend it. You will be amazed.

Bought this for $700 ($300 promo credit from Best Buy during Cyber week). You still need to pay taxes on the full $1000 along with $30 upgrade fee for Verizon. If this phone weren't on sale I probably would not buy. Wanted to upgrade (especially the camera and battery) from a LG V20. The 128 GB space, 6 GB RAM, and battery push this phone above others for the price. Camera is also rated very high according to DXOmark.com. The pictures are phenomenal. You can use them for your holiday photos and they look SLR quality. The stylus is amazing and very easy to use. Notes can be categorized. Actual phone quality is good although I wish the volume level could be a little louder. Speakerphone is good though. Bluetooth connectivity with my car is great. Was worried that a non-circular fingerprint reader on the back would be an issue but so far it's worked fine. I'm new to the Samsung interface. I liked the icons and ease of use for the phone/text/contact features of the LG V20. This is minor though as I'm still getting used to the device after one month. Didn't want to get an LG V40 though for those wondering because the V20 camera and battery didn't perform as great and I didn't want to risk it again with another LG product. Have not tried the Bixby assistant yet or Google Maps. I noticed on the LG V20 the Google maps wouldn't talk the turn-by-turn directions. Very little in terms of bloatware. Most of which I was able to remove. Overall, very satisfied with the device and purchase. This is a very high-performance phone in a lot of ways so you won't be disappointed. It's good to also get an SD card that can back-up the contents of your old phone and not take-up harddrive space on the new phone. Would recommend this phone or if you cannot afford, the S9 categories are also good. Enjoy your purchase!

This is probably one of the best phones on the market and I say this because I'm not biased to Android or Apple devices but this phone's got the power the performance the battery life camera quality of any phone on the market today I use it every day for it work I can pop the S-Pen out and do notes I can translate those notes to text I can send them via email all from one device this device has more power than a laptop that was using a couple years ago and more convenient because it fits in my pocket with all that power I highly recommend this phone for anyone looking for a high-end device that you're willing to pay for because it's going to cost you but you can either buy nice or buy twice.

This phone is truly AMAZING! First let me say that I stepped up to the 512GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, Galaxy Note 9. I figure that this very well be that phone that CV would last me a life time and since I bought it at Best Buy you already know that I got a great deal. The phone is FUN. Yes. I said fun. It is super fast and has tons of storage. The camera is awesome and easy to use with studio quality images and video. The huge screen has vibrant colors and truly magnificent shape display. Gaming is fast and awesome and the sound quality will make you wish that all your music playing devices were as clean, crisp and clear. The only draw back to the phone is its price and the price of the available cases for it (at least the ones you would want to use to cover the Beautiful design and colors of the Note 9. IMHO.... If you can afford it you should definitely treat yourself to the Note 9. Who knows, you may never have to buy another cellular device again.
