Picked up this phone a few weeks ago because my S5 was really annoying me with lack of memory and battery issues including the battery getting hot while discharging. It was 3 1\2 years old, so it was time for a new phone. I'm getting used to subtle differences ( swipe left/right to change pages, up to access apps) and the the addion of the Bixby button. I am enjoying using Bixby voice commands and to show me things I'm interested in. I also like this camera better than the old one (although the one in the S3 was pretty good too.). I took some great fireworks videos and stills last week. The super slowmo created some neat effects. Very good in low light, and there is a pro mode I'm just exploring. One warning - get a cover, the finish is very smooth and easily slides off slightly tilted surfaces.

I have had the phone for just over a week. So far it's great. I am so happy that I purchased it at Bestbuy. I had previously looked at getting it directly through Verizon and the cost was double there. I went with the gold version only available at best buy because the price was lower than the other colors. I'm very happy with it. It downloads very fast and it charges quickly too. Also holds a charge very long. I bought an otterbox case at Bestbuy too and found a skin for it on etsy that I like too.

I was looking to upgrade from my iPhone 6s and wasn't particularly drawn to the new iPhones. I'm not an iPhone fanatic, so I started looking around. I decided to give the Samsung Galaxy S9 a try. Two weeks in, I'm very happy with the phone. The camera is terrific, the speed of the phone is good, and the availability of the apps I use is fine. This is the first phone I've owned that has wireless charging, and I'm really liking that feature (the connection on my old phone was a major reason I needed to upgrade). The battery life is also really good. I'd forgotten how nice it is to use your phone and not have to charge it throughout the day. Also, the size, feel, and color of the phone are good. At this point, I'm very pleased with y Galaxy S9.

When my original Pixel fell out of warranty and continually failed to make/receive phone calls, it was time for a new device. My choice was between a Pixel 2 and a Galaxy S9. Despite lots of research, what ultimately made the choice for me was my experience with the Pixel and Google's inability to resolve my phone issue. My last Samsung was an S5 so I haven't had any recent experiences with a Samsung but I never had any issues with the S5 so I figured why not. I've had the phone for a week now and am quite happy with it. Despite claims of bloatware, I haven't found too many non useful Samsung apps. Bixby is a disaster for sure but many of the apps I didn't need weren't "locked" and were removed with a simple uninstall. I do miss Google Assistant but that is still reachable in two clicks. The camera is fantastic. Battery life is average. The Samsung quick menu is incredible and made me wonder how I lived without it. I like the fingerprint scanner being under the camera lens instead of in the middle of the device like the Pixel. I also like wireless Qi charging which neither the Pixel 1 or 2 has. So much easier placing my phone down on a large pad at night instead of fumbling for a cord when I'm half asleep. Overall I'm quite happy with my purchase. Before the S9 arrived I had contemplated returning it for a Pixel 2 but after hearing the Pixel 2 hardware was made by HTC and the issues I see people reporting, I decided to at least try the S9 before returning it. Needless to say, the S9 is a keeper.

I upgraded to the S9 from the S7. The camera is definitely better and overall the phone is faster. I haven't had any problems using apps, connecting to wifi or using data. I am not a big fan of the edge and the tab pullout, because I often hit it accidentally, and the home bottom tab sometimes gets in the way of apps I am using. Lastly, I don't use Bixby, so that's kind of a waste of a button. Overall though, I like the phone.

Expensive but very good quality and long battery life. Great camera and easy to use.

This was my first smart phone so I did have a lot of difficulties with learning the different apps, etc. that were available to me. The help lines at both Verizon and Samsung were excellent at answering my questions. Some of the on-line tutorials may need to be updated to include the changes that were made to the S9 version of this phone. The camera is great and is easy to use. The battery lasts a long time and recharges quickly.

Best galaxy phone yet! Has a wonderful camera too. Easy to use and understand. Great features. Upgrades from previous models and runs much faster then my last galaxy. I love the color. Purchasing from Best Buy and adding it to my Verizon plan was very simple and less extthen going right to Verizon. I will definitely buy through Best Buy again! Very happy with my experience

I purchased this as an upgrade to my Galaxy 5S. It has been a great phone, but the good news/bad news is the battery life. This phone holds a charge for so long that I forget to charge it. It is much faster than my old phone, a good camera, and all around great phone.

So far I am really enjoying this upgrade. I had the S6 last. Nite and day differences. Battery life is great, beautiful camera. Every thing moves fast. I use bluetooth a lot for music in my home plus I can keep it hooked up to my watch at the same time. I'm sure this phone can do a whole lot more than I will ever use!!

Great phone, awesome camera. We went from S5's to S9's. Couple of things missing that we kind of liked with the S5, but nothing that important. Battery lasts all day, even with game playing. Very quick, I have a Samsung tablet that's isn't very old, and this beats it every time in how fast it pulls things up.

70 years old and my first smart phone. This phone is very easy to use takes great pictures. Just what you would expect from Samsung. People complain about battery life. I have not had a problem with the battery life. I use a lot of apps through the day and the battery last great. Very stylish phone.

I have used Samsung products for years now and have had their phones since the Galaxy S2. Samsung has had issues with their phones throughout the years, but this one they seamed to have gotten everything right. The camera is great, good battery life, great resolution screen, and most importantly the fast processor flies through every app your running. I have always felt like the past phones you would have to load something or be waiting for processing, but not on this phone, everything is extraordinarily fast. I am very happy with this product and feel fans of Samsung phones will be too.

The Samsung Galaxy 10s are out but I read so many positive reviews about this S9 that I bought it for a great price at Best Buy. I called Verizon to see if they would match the price but they couldn't. The service at Best Buy was phenomenal. My phone was ready to go in minutes. I am very familiar with these phones so it was totally painless to transition from my S6. The first evening my husband and I sat outside for hours listening to old rock and roll from our youth. The Dolby sound was amazing. Never expected to enjoy music so much without headphones. The camera picture captured evening light so beautiful that I used a backyard view for an oil painting. I deleted some of the junk apps and installed a few games to see what they were like. Totally impressed with its capabilities. 4 stars for the phone and the buying experience.

This S9 replaces my failing S5, and it is a lovely, fast performing phone, with a zillion little features, and terrific camera and video capabilities, which are noticeably better than the S5. I disabled some of the Samsung or other loaded software, to avoid duplication and clutter. Micro-SD card and OTG adapter capability is awesome for easy transfers. Issues: the new tall shape does not fit as many shirt pockets. The curved screen is cool but screen protectors are tough to find -- see reviews and complaints with tempered glass. (consider skinomi -- worked great for me) The notifications lights are confusing and erratic -- so far I cannot reliably see a little green or other LED to notify me of unread new messages. Note that this charges with new USB type C, so your old micro USB stuff will not fit.

Upgraded from an s5 , camera is definitely an upgrade ,pictures are awesome,more memory for apps,faster,price is great.delivery was prompt.Plan on buying another soon. I recomend if you haven't upgraded your phone in a while.

Had this phone for a couple months and completely love it. Easy to use. Has all the apps I need. Great camera and battery life. No issues and completely satisfied!
