Got this for my wife and her long over night shifts. She uses it mostly for Netflix, DirecTV, and Kodi browsing. The battery has been great and she hasn't complained about speed or the screen at all. The large screen makes it really pleasant. It's very snappy each time I get it to install something or apply updates.

Bought this for my dad. He absolutely loves it. It's fast, great screen resolution, easy to use, and dependable. Not the tablet for you if you're into gaming, but if you just want to stream videos and surf the web, this will more than do the trick.

This Samsung Tablet is perfect for any kind of user, whether they are a novice or a pro. The tables is lightweight, fast, and the picture is crisp and clear. The operating system is very fast and I can store many pictures and videos on this tablet. I can browse the internet and order items online. I can also listen to my favorite music with the tap of my finger. This tablet is perfect for use with kids, teens, and adults. The sound quality on the speakers is incredible. I can play music in one room and hear it all the way in another room. Highly recommend to all people looking to buy a tablet.

I purchased this to replace my trusted surface pro 3 which I dropped from a height of 4" which cracked the screen only to find out it costs $400 to repair. I figured that since 99% of what I did with the surface could be done with an android tablet, I would purchase an android tablet. In searching for the right tablet, there where several options. I prefer the Samsung tablets and as far as they go there are 4 options in the 10" category. There is the tab A and tab S2 both with last year's and this year's models. Last year, the Tab A was the budget version of the S2 with a less powerfully chip and lower resolution. This year's Tab A (the 10.1), has the same chip as the s2 with the same resolution as last year's s2. The speed on this tablet is perfect and I can honestly say, I can't imagine needing anything more for the types of things I use my tablet for (email, surfing, playing games). That's quite a bit comming fom someone used to a surface pro 3. Oh, another thing is that I use this tablet all the time and only have to charge it every 3 or 4 days.

I was looking for a device similar to the iPad in size. Although this one is not exactly the same size it is still a great size. It has a fast processor and I love the ability it has to add an SD card of up to 128GB. That's pretty great. So far I've had the product for two months and it's fast and efficient. It's small enough to fit in a small bag and powers up very quickly. I would definitely recommend to others. Samsung gives you the opportunity to customize the device allowing you to use what you want when you want it and it helps conserve battery in the long run.

It's fast enough, clear enough screen, it doesn't have the latest and best screen but it makes up for that with a longer run time. We had an old Nexus 7 that was very good, but it finally gave up the ghost when my wife dropped it on a tile floor. It is a lot better than the old 7, with good cameras and storage for another 128 gig. It came with Nougat as the OS. A lot easier to use. We like it a lot.

Great product, light weight , very fast. Battery life way longer than any tablet i have owned. Better product than the Apple tablet that i had before, don't be fooled by the high cost of the Apple product, your just paying a high price for a name, and they are not compatible with other products.

My husband has the older version and this pad is definitely an improvement over it!! Much faster and a place for a micro card to expand memory. The price was excellent! I would definitely recommend this product.

The Galaxy Tab A is a solid tablet. Good size, great screen quality & camera. Came with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint apps installed. Excellent for games & reading.

I recently purchased this tablet to replace an aging iPad whose performance was continuing to decline. In short, this tablet provides significantly better performance, expandable memory and great battery life for a fraction of the cost of a new iPad. It's 10.1" screen make it perfect choice for watching movies and its Exynos 7870 processor never seems to lag under high demand tasks. Highly recommended.

Love this Samsung tablet. It comes with 1080p screen, micro-SD card slot for extra storage, and much more. The screen is very clear and the battery lasts for a long time since it's has a big battery. It's fast and has all the features you would need for an android tablet. My iPad mini doesn't get used as much anymore! It's such a good deal I bought a second one as a gift for my dad

This is my second Samsung tablet, the 1st being nearly 4 years old. The speed and power of the new ones is astounding. Easy and intuitive to use. Great battery life.

The battery life is excellent. Screen quality is great. Good memory with capability to expand. Coupled with the large screen this tablet is a tremendous value.

I have now gone thru 3 iPads from the very beginning, and after the 3rd and looking at the cost, I decided to move to a Samsung Tab. While the iPad is more intuitive for a new user, in my case this provided more features, access to a great number of useful apps, does not require that everything go through iTunes, and with the removable storage and USB provides much more functionality. I opted for the Tab A 10.1 as it features a 16:9 display, ideal for watching movies. The added battery life helps as well. Image quality is great, and with built-in business apps, this tablet provides more functionality than an iPad for work and at a considerably lower cost. Note that the price of the high end Samsung Tab is the same as the lowest end iPad. Bottom line, this is a better value, especially for an experienced user. My only complaint is that since this is new, there are not a lot of covers available yet for this model. I found a conventional size, but with the adjustable corners to hold it in place. Other than that, I give this 5 stars.

After reading reviews and checking prices I purchased this tablet. I was looking for something faster than quad core processor but not wanting to spend a fortune either. This tablet has worked very well for me so far (I've had a couple of weeks) and am happy with it. I purchased Geek Squad protection and took to store yesterday to have someone help me get most out of my purchase. The Geek Squad gal that helped was very friendly and gave me tips to get best performance and shortcuts to use. I would recommend to anyone wanting a tablet for a reasonable price.

Excellent tablet. The screen is huge, the battery life is amazing I use it a couple of hours a day and only need to charge about once per week so far, could go even longer.Originally I had the 9.7 tab a and I was not satisfied with the screen resolution, so I sent it back when this tablet was announced. I do not regret my decision at all. If you are trying to decide between the 9.7 or the 10.1, I recommend you get the 10.1

This tablet is awesome, big screen, fast moving. Light to hold. My Husband is super happy with it!! I'll sneak more time with it next year, got to let him have time with it, it is his gift after all.

This was a replacement tablet for a similar Samsung tablet. It is much faster, and lighter. The screen image is shaper than the old one.

I have had this for a couple weeks now and it has surpassed my expectations its fast and has a robust screen when watching videos or a movie the screen is crisp clear with a great blend of colors and NO ghosting of any kind and blacks come through great with no weird shadowing or any pixel distortion .. The battery is phenomenal and has lasted me days on one charge with moderate to heavy use and it will take about 4 hrs to charge if it is turned OFF and more like 5 to 6 if your using it while charging .. The button placement is good and charge jack and headphone jack are in a good location.. It has a flash that i was surprised to see now i can use it as a flashlight as well :) Overall feel performance and the BEST sale i got on this makes it the perfect tablet for EVERYONE even if you have to pay full retail its worth it in my eyes with the octa core processor and 2 gb ram with a 7300MAH battery !!! Go buy this you wont regret it !!!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is a wonderful tablet, but it just isn't as good as the Tab S in every way. Here's what I like about it: It has an octa-core 1.6-gigahertz processor and a full HD screen (1920 X 1080 or 1200). I think it will be really good to use for school papers because of the large screen when using the Android version of Microsoft Word (downloaded from the Google Play Store). Because it has a more recent version of the Android operating system than many tablets, you can adjust the colors of the screen in the settings application. While it is not an extremely fast tablet, it is pretty good for doing a lot of things. Based on what I see from my export options, I am able to use the (paid) PowerDirector video editing application for Android from the Google Play Store and export video at 1080p, 60 frames per second. I feel I would not be able to export at this quality with the same video editing application using a device with a lower-quality processor. Unfortunately, it will not export at 4K quality with that paid PowerDirector application like a higher-quality device will, so this shows you that you are getting a mid-range device. How much power do you need? This is a great deal on sale! This does not lag on YouTube videos. If you are not used to a big, heavy device like this, be careful, because it can slip out of your hands. I don't want mine to get damaged. Even now I am trying to get used to its size, weight, and tendency to slip or fall around easily. I wish it had 32 GB of ROM, but 16 GB will have to do, and I will use other devices for some of my applications, splitting up the duty.
