My first fitness trainer / wearable device and so far i like it! I only have to recharge it every other day and like all the bells and whistles!.. Does a pretty good job recording my steps at work.. Although not as accurate as my wifes fitbit but still gets the job done!! Also I wash my hands alot at work being that I work in healthcare and so far the FIT2 has held up!

It was my first smart watch, and it was great!!! It isn't bulky, very light on my wrist. I love the simple features, it was a great one all up to when my battery gave up on me and geek squad didn't know how to fix the issue so they issue me a new one.... overall it was great while it lasted!

I do enjoy the simplicity of the watch. It is not like another fancy smart watch, but gives me enough information. I receive all my alerts from my phone, my steps taken during the day, and heart rate. So far, so good.

For the prices the Gear fit 2 is hard to beat, Steps, Stairs, GPS, Music, touch screen, HR, Sleep. I love the sleep and heart rate monitor. Only one issue is you have to recharge every 2.5 days.

After using this product for roughly over a month now, I am happy that I made this purchase. I had owned the older version of the Samsung Gear Fit but after leaving it charging too long at one point - it couldn't hold a charge for even a day and would die. This one has not done that to me and it has been able maintain it's battery life for about 2 days with a full battery and charges quickly (about 2 hours from 10%). But because of that issue with the previous one, I have not left it charging for more than a night. There are a lot of other features to it that I've greatly enjoyed using including the heart rate monitor. Obviously take the measurements with a grain of salt, but it at least gives a pretty good range. One thing that has bothered me is the floor count. I don't know how it keeps track of it, but in my opinion it definitely doesn't do a great job (greatly overestimating the amount of floors you climb) - one day it said I climbed 250 floors (and I'm pretty sure I only walked up and down my flight of stairs 4 times that day). The other slight improvement I would like to see are the watch faces available - the previous version let you customize one with a picture, this one does no such thing which I find a little disappointing and the other options are pretty limited (but newer versions/options are coming out so there's that as well). Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lower cost fitness band that is still pretty reliable when determining steps and heart rate. It notifies me (with a little lag) when I have a text or notification or when I'm still for too long. You can also customize what notifications you would like it to do, so that's also pretty cool. Plus, it's water proof and I can attest that it has survived multiple showers, floating trips, and pool visits so far. I'd be afraid to dive with it (I'm not sure at what depth it was recommended) but the fact that I can shower with it (especially when I forget to take it off) has been fantastic. Another feature I have greatly liked is that it will keep track of your sleep at night automatically if you wear it while you're sleeping and it will tell you the percent efficiency of that sleep about an hour after you wake-up and it notices you moving (once again, maybe take this with a grain of salt - I noticed that after I had woken up but stayed in bed for another hour or two reading and looking at my phone, it still considered that sleep for some reason).

I bought this as a gift for my wife, who was with me at the time. She probably would have preferred the Samsung Gear S3, but the only available size is 46 mm. and that was too cumbersome for her to wear. But the Gear Fit 2 is better sized, syncs with a Samsung phone and is easy to set up and personalize. In addition to monitoring a lot of different types of activities, including sleep efficiency, it will alert you when you receive a text or email, and allow you to reply with a set of minimal responses. It will even give you a "nudge" when you've been inactive for a while. This is the first fitness watch she's had and so far, she really loves it. She said she didn't realize she was idle as much as she is! Battery life is excellent - can go 3 days without a charge. Was on sale and got a great deal at Best Buy. She also plans on taking advantage of one of the training sessions offered through Best Buy. But if a smaller version of the Gear S3 comes up, she'll probably get that.

I upgraded from the gear fit 1 so I had a general idea of how it would work, but it went beyond my wildest expectations. Tracks steps, floors, heart rate and sleep all automatically! No accidental pausing or forgetting to start tracking something and it even pushes you to keep moving!

This watch is very user friendly with a good size screen for viewing the menu options and text messages. The band is a bit flimsy, though, and I already lost the snap that grips the band so I had to send back in for repair after only 6 months. Otherwise, very good design and style.

Compared to Garmin VivoFit, this is a slimmer, more stylish watch. It would be nice to have more battery life. Also doesn't have a mode for lifting weights. Also doesn't have constant heart rate (takes your heart rate about every ten minutes. Does have nice GPS feature, auto recording of workouts, and easy to use interface. You can easily download new watch faces. Easily gets notifications from apps like Facebook and Map My Run (you can even 'like' a friend's workout from your watch). The sleep tracking is very interesting, and it lets you rate and track your sleep. Overall, I am happy with the purchase!

    Great Watch

I purchased this watch due to being able to store music on it. The only complaint I have is the inaccurate count of floors and the app. I'm a previous owner of the Fitbit so I'm accustomed to walking every hour (including stairs). This watch refuses to count the amount of floors I climb. I normally climb 3 flights but the Gear only counts one (if that). I love the fact that the watch doesn't have to be connected to the phone to use the basic features. The other thing that I don't like is the app. After using the Fitbit App, using this app makes my head hurt. The Fitbit app gives you details of activities every minute of the day. Example: It gives every time you move or get up while you're asleep and you can set your sleep goal without having to put in the exact time. You have to really be careful and pay attention because the way the band closes it will pop off without you realizing it's come off. I dropped it once without knowing it'd popped off. I do like the fact that the Gear will automatically pick up walking and/or running after 10-15 minutes. It also vibrates after 50 minutes to remind you to get up and move. The battery life is nothing to brag about but considering everything that's running on the watch it's decent. I have the face downloaded where I can access the weather so I have location running at all times. I can get three maybe 4 days before charging it. I love the watch and I don't regret the purchase. If Samsung would integrate their app with Fitbit it would be even greater.

I've had this tracker for a couple of months and have been very pleased with it. Previously I had a Fitbit, Garmin Vivofit, Vivosmart an Vivoactive. I liked all of them but changed looking for additional features. Although I haven't used all of the features (e.g. Tracking cups of coffee or water, a media player) I'm glad they're there if I decide I want to use them. The lighted display is adjustable to increase or decrease the brightness. A few drawbacks are that the battery life isn't long enough for me. Need to charge every 2-3 days. Also, it's not waterproof. Need to remove when showering.

My wife bought this because she wants to track her steps and have her notifications close even when her phone is charging in the other room. Does both with little problem. Does occasionally come unpaired but still keeps track of steps and heart rate.

Samsung really got the Gear Fit 2 right. From a hardware perspective it mops the floor with Fitbit. Curved color screen with Gorilla glass vs mono low-res plastic screen. GPS, Bluetooth music streaming, and Swappable bands too. Samsung software is surpringly good, especially on Anroid. On iOS, it is very limited. Fitness features work great and there is just enough smart watch functionality without being too complicated. In fact, I find this easier to use than a Fitbit or a full blown smart watch, it's really the best of both worlds. Battery life is good, but not quite as good as a Fitbit. Easily 3 days of normal use, or a full day of heavy fitness tracking with GPS enabled for much of that time. Perfectly acceptable. The magnetic charging base is well designed too. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
