Toslink doesn't work with sound bar connected

The bad's_ First problem I had is that it turns the optical port off when it connects through WiFi or HDMI. So my Toslink headphones quit working when the the sound bar is connected to the TV. I also had issues with getting the sound-delay (lip sync) to match the screen. It kind of wandered per channel or input that I was watching. The Blue tooth connection did allow the optical port to stay working but it kept dropping out during usage. (somewhat of a pain to re-sync) If this darn thing had an HDMI out & an optical-out then it would have been a LOT more useful to me. This much money for a sound bar should have both an optical out & an HDMI out (most of the competition does) The other gripe is__ before buying I called Samsung customer helpline & they assured me that it would fit under the screen on my 50" QN 90B-- NOPE!, not even close. And even worse, the short rubber bumpers on the bottom of the sound bar don't allow it to sit high enough for the bottom of the sound bar to clear the QN90B TV stand so you either need to cobble on higher feet or move the sound bar a lot more forward to clear the TV stand. (don't they even test these things to work with their own products?)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the inputs and audio experiences you've had with the HW-S60B Soundbar.
When you are using the soundbar remote, press the SOUND CONTROL (which looks like a gear) button, to select between: SpaceFit Sound, Active Voice Amplifier, Voice enhancement, Night mode, Sync, Virtual.
Using the Sync feature will allow you to adjust for any audio delays. 2020, 2021, and 2022 Samsung TVs have a feature called Audio Pass-Through. You can utilize this feature on your Samsung TV to correct your audio-sync issue.
On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through.
If you are using another brand TV, check the manual to see if there is a similar feature available to you.
