It turned out that we did not have an HDMI port that worked for it. We were ready to return it until I contacted Samsung tech support. Found out an optival audio cable would work. Chico at Samsung support sent me a link for instructions to set it up. It works perfectly! Listening to jazz on Sirius XM never sounded so good. So happy we got it!

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the Samsung HW-S60B soundbar not maintaining the desired source connection. Please know that the soundbar will remember the last setting before it turned off. Thus, if you wish the soundbar to turn on to detect HDMI, make sure that the HDMI is the used source when you turn off.
If you are looking for additional bass, beyond what the HW-S60B can provide, consider adding the compatible SWA-W510 Wireless Subwoofer from Samsung to take your audio experience to the next level.
