Small, but loud

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought my mom a samsung 7.1 set up but due to her not liking the subwoofer visually and putting it inside the tv stand, i started to look for a replacement without a sub and came across this one. I ordered it as an open box - excellent and when I picked it up, it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be(I didn’t look at the dimensions). Because of this, I had doubts and planned to return it but I was going to test it first. I went home and hooked it up and played the newer Lion King trailer through different options for sound and was impressed of the sound that came out. It lacks heavy bass obviously because there is no sub but there is enough for what it is and the sound is very crisp. I did not return it and mom is enjoying it.

Easy set up and works well with my Samsung OLED TV. The sound is clear, crisp and adds the realism of movies that sound from only TV can't produce. This sound bar doesn't take up a lot of space and fits nicely and blends well with my TV.

I was looking for all in one sound bar & the sound is good . A separate base woofer , or internal larger woofer would make this a phenomenal sound bar

Great sound and only one piece ... the bar itself. If you want wonderful sound but don't want a bunch of speakers you can't go wrong. And it's simple to connect to your TV.

Sounds great without being to much, has good bass built in. Also like that with the app you have features to turn up the voice if that's all you want or quiet modes if you're up late and don't want to be too loud.

I can still have a full conversation with somebody and hear each other even all the way turned up. Other than not being super loud, its a great product.

To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.
To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD. When you press the SOUND MODE button it will change to the different modes in the above order.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.
If you are looking for additional bass, beyond what the HW-S60B can provide, consider adding the compatible SWA-W510 Wireless Subwoofer from Samsung to take your audio experience to the next level.

Great all- in-one speaker.

It does a wonderful job, but after a few days, we decided to add the SWA 510 subwoofer and 9100S rear speakers. This combination makes an outstanding sound system. Highly recommended.

The volume is touchy and a tad tricky to find a medium point. Seems to be a touch too quiet or a touch too loud… but still a great sound bar.

Clear, rich, & easy to control with the TV remote

Bought this with the S90C TV, and it works well together - there are two remotes, but the soundbar remote is stored away, as the TV remote takes care of it all. There are a couple of things in the setup menu that could be easier to reach, but they were simple enough to figure out. All in all, a very good soundbar, really helped with the dialogue that is usually drowned out by the extra noise added to today's movies and programs. No need for a subwoofer if you're just interested in watching TV.
